Waking up slowly the first thing Lorien did is to check the barrier
Seeing that it still remains he stretched lazily and got out of bed and went to the table to eat breakfast

Looking back Lorien could see a young girl walking in his direction, she is clearly in a disheveled state, her body swaying from side to side, her red eyes out of focus, desperately dragging her weak body
After taking a couple more steps it appears she couldn't hold on any longer as she fell down face-first into the ground
Seeing this Lorien felt a bit hesitant
'Should I save her?'
After contemplating for a moment he decided to help, first of all, he needs information anyways, moreover, Lorien could easily help her it's not like he needs to work hard or anything
Moreover, as he thought about his experience in the past couple of days he ran towards her and held her up as he walked back to the house

And indeed as he expected after a quarter of an hour passed the girl woke disoriented, looking around her with worry she quickly noticed Lorien sitting on another couch with his eyes closed
A bit worried she then checked her state, seeing that nothing happened and her clothes didn't change she heaved a sigh of relief

But then she noticed something weird as she looked at her hands in shock and exclaimed out loud in shock as her current state could be called the best she had ever been since she was born

This exclamation caused Lorien who had his eyes closed to finally notice her awakening
Seeing Lorien looking at her the girl reacted as she held her mouth tightly and shrank back like a hamster
Seeing this Lorien's mouth twitched as he asked her with a helpless look on his face
"Am I scary?"
But in response, he just got a look full of mixed confusion and insecurity
Seeing this Lorien continued as he spoke with the most gentle voice he could muster
"Hi, my name is Lorien, I saw you falling unconscious on the road there and helped you, are you okay?"
But the response was the same, just a confused look, Seeing this Lorien really didn't know what to do feeling completely frustrated

But thankfully just as he was contemplating whether he should give up and leave or not the girl finally reacted seemingly feeling his goodwill

Lorien's experience in those couple of days could be called a fantasy novel like experience, and as someone who read so many web novels he unconsciously got affected by what he read before

As someone who watched soo many animes, and took the initiative to learn some Japanese he could at least get his idea across to a Japanese speaker and somewhat understand what they are saying if they don't speak fast
With the issue finally getting resolved Lorien racked his brain for a couple of moments before speaking in broken Japanese trying to get his message across
"Language...Save you...are you okay?"
It seems that this worked as it appears that she finally understood what was happening
Quickly reacting she jumped to her feet and made a 90-degree bow and said
"Thank you...Thank you..."
Her voice was filled with gratitude, Lorien could even see some mist accumulate in her eyes, it appears she is about to cry
This caused Lorien to panic a bit, and just as he was about to stop her, the girl's stomach suddenly growled loudly in hunger causing the scene to immediately become silent and awkward, which caused the girl's face to instantly turn red like a tomato
Finally, with an opportunity to get out of this weird situation Lorien quickly said as he signaled her to follow him not allowing her time to refuse
"Want...Food?"
After hesitating for a second she still followed him as she couldn't resist the allure of food after being hungry for so long
Watching her eat the food he just made delightfully Lorien was finally able to communicate well with her, of course, he didn't create it in front of her, he pretended to get it from another room
From what he was able to understand from her with his abysmal Japanese is that she ran away trying to find somewhere else to live away from the hell she lived in before, looking for hope
It's just that she was starved for days barely eating anything and combined with the abuse she wasn't able to go far, and the result was her falling unconscious in front of Lorien
She was actually pretty lucky, if Lorien wasn't there at that time, she would have died soon after
He tried asking her the reason why she was treated badly by her parents and everyone else, but because of his bad Japanese he was only able to understand some of what she said but not all

There are a couple of reasons as to why he chose to do so, first of all, he needs a translator who can communicate easily with natives as not everyone will speak with him so slowly so he can understand
He also felt pity for this pitiful beautiful girl when he heard her experience and having a companion isn't bad, all alone in a different world is bad for mental health
And finally, there is an experiment he wants to try later on, but before trying it he has to make her loyalty higher
'Okay! Okay! I Admit it, it's mostly because she is beautiful, if it was an ugly woman or a man i would have indeed saved them, but that's it, at most if I liked their personality I would give them some gold so they can start a new life'
But hearing what Lorien said the girl called Saigai quickly shook her head and refused as revealed a timid look

Seeing this Lorien knew that it would take some energy to make her follow him and so he directly started trying to convince her
This took him almost a full 20 minutes, but at least it finally worked after all she was indeed very grateful that he saved her and gave her food, the only reason she refused was that she didn't want to hurt him
But seeing him not giving up she finally agreed, but what Lorien didn't notice was the remorseful look in her eyes
'He'll probably kick me away soon anyway, I'll try my best to help him until then, As long as he doesn't kick me I'll stay and pay him back'
Not noticing her strangeness he smiled and said while pointing at the bedroom, he had already prepared some clothes for her

Looking at her going into the room Lorien finally gave a long sigh full of exhaustion
