---Chapter Start---
'That'll do it for the time being'
After dealing with the survivors, Lorien then walked away with Saigai and started discussing the details of the base with her before starting.
"How about...."
"No, I think that...
"But..."
Meanwhile, just as this was happening, Shido who was sitting in the middle of the survivors started slowly looking around, his eyes shining with some wisdom.
'This world has truly changed..., Even superpowers appeared...'
'It is now survival for the fittest...'
As he was thinking, his eyes couldn't help but drift towards Lorien and Saigai.
'Even though I want to become the leader, it would be impossible in this situation..'
'Moreover, I have to try and find out how to get superpowers from them.'
'But, I can still make a good impression on those students...'
Thinking of this, Shido finally couldn't help himself, so after looking at Saigai and Lorien and making sure that they were far away, he stood which attracted everyone's attention.
"Is everyone okay?" Said Shido, his face full of compassion.
"Don't worry! I know that everyone is scared, and worried about themselves and their families, But it is in times like this we should stay strong and unite!"
"Don't forget! We are the elites from Fujimi Academy!"
*Clap*
*Clap*
Even though it was only a small number of students clapping, Shido didn't care as he continued trying to brainwash them.
Just as this was happening, Rei who was sitting in a small group with Komura, Saya, and Hirano; Looked at him, her eyes full of hatred.
'Why didn't this guy die!!'
Meanwhile, a couple of meters away from this group of four, Saeko and Shizuka could be seen sitting there calmly away from everyone else.
"It's rude of me to say this, but I don't really like Shido-sensei..." Said Shizuka as she looked at Shido's performance.
Hearing this, Saeko who had all of her attention on Lorien and Saigai looked back at Shido before glancing at the couple standing far away and said shaking her head.
"He won't end up well..."
"Huh?"
Looking puzzled Shizuka didn't know what Saeko meant by this, so she just kept looking at her trying to get an explanation.
And she wasn't the only one, as the group of 4 also quieted down and turned their heads toward her, they were only a couple of meters away, so they were also able to hear what she just said easily.
"It's because of the ones who killed the zombies, I don't think people like them will let him do what he wants" Responded Saeko who saw their reaction.
And indeed that was the case; When Shido started talking to the students both Lorien and Saigai stopped their discussion and turned their heads toward him.
"So he finally couldn't help but start, I thought he would stay dormant for a while..."
Even though this guy is annoying, Lorien has to admit that he is somewhat smart, but now, it seems that he overestimated him.
"I don't like this guy..." Said Saigai after looking at Shido for a moment.
She is very sensitive to emotions, so she could clearly tell that he was manipulating people not truly helping them.
So after looking at him for a couple more moments, she turned her head to Lorien and asked as she waved the sword in her hand slightly.
"Should I..."
Even though she didn't finish the phrase, her intentions were clear, she just wanted to get rid of him, and seeing this, Lorien's mouth couldn't help but twitch lightly.
'Hey, when did she become so violent...'
"No, let's keep him for now, we'll deal with him after we finish the base..." Responded Lorien.
But even as he said this, he still looked at Shido and then waved his hand at him.
[Dream/Reality]: Change
With Lorien's power operating, Shido who was speaking suddenly froze as he saw the students who were previously looking at him with admiration become eerily silent.
"Is everything alright?" Inquired Shido not knowing what was happening.
But the only answer he got was the rampant laughter of Rei, and not only her there were many students who were trying to back their laughs.
"What's so funny?"
*Puchi*
"Hhahaha! Nothing, Mr. Clown!"
"You..."
Then just as Shido was going to respond, one of the students finally couldn't help but speak.
"Sensei, Your clothes..."
Hearing this, Shido looked down at his attire just to see that his suit was silently changed into a clown's costume!
And that wasn't all! as he discovered that he now had a big red nose, a clown's make-up, and a rainbow-colored afro! He even had a small hat on top of it!
Discovering this, Shido's eyes shrank as he then instantly looked in Saigai and Lorien's direction just to see them smiling 'amicably' at him.
The moment he saw this, he looked down in fear and sat down not trying anything anymore.
Looking at this, many people who couldn't stand him looked joyful, and the happiest person was obviously Rei!
'Serves him right!'
As for Saeko, she didn't look that surprised as she had already expected something like that to happen.
"Is this what you call dealing with him later?" Said Saigai looking at Lorien speechlessly.
But seeing him shrugging his shoulders off, she rolled her eyes at him as she then also waved her hand toward Shido.
And as she did this, a huge amount of scarlet-colored energy shot through the air and into his body, shrouding him entirely.
She was able to do this after learning Lorien's method of using the air as a 'medium' to make 'contact' with her targets instead of physically touching them.
It costs more energy but is much more useful in combat! This method greatly improved her strength!
"Why did you use that much energy? Wouldn't he instantly die?" Said Lorien seeing her actions.
The amount of energy enveloping Shido is immense, it is enough to cause danger to the likes of Muzan and Upper Moon 1, not to mention a mortal who has no powers.
"I set it so it won't take effect all at once! it'll just get consumed slowly each day, enough to keep him in constant danger and not instantly kill him, it's probably about a 50/50 chance each time!"
"How long will it last?"
"About half a year..."
Hearing this, it was now Lorien's turn to look at her speechlessly.
'It is now the apocalypse, and he'll have to face Murphy's law every day and try to survive, shit, now I feel somewhat sorry for the guy...'
But he then shook those thoughts away and responded to her.
"So you just turned his life into a Final Destination sequel..."
"Final Destination? What is that?"
"It's a movie, let's watch it later, I am sure that you'll like it considering your ability, you may even gain inspiration from it!"
"I'll take your words for it then!"
