121 His Little Fairy was Hugging Him
Bai Qi halted at the sudden contact. His eyes widened and he did not know what he should do or how he should react as his little fairy was hugging him.
His heart was beating fast and hard. He wondered if Zhang Li Xue would be able to hear them.
Because he was sitting on the chair, his head was pressed against Zhang Li Xue’s stomach.
Bai Qi did not dare to make a move, lest he would accidentally touch somewhere else.
Her sniffle snapped him out of his thought. If he listened carefully, he would hear Zhang Li Xue’s reassuring voice, telling him that everything will be alright.
The look in his eyes softened, knowing that his little fairy was feeling distressed for him.
It made him realize that after everything that happened, no one had come to coax him. No one would come and tell him that everything would be better.
His father’s relatives had all pretended that they were dead. Everyone had ruthlessly cut off their relationship with his family the moment they heard about the debt.
It was only his mother’s elder sister, Auntie Jiang who had cared about him and his sister. His auntie’s family was not that rich. However, the family had taken him and his sister to the north. While Bai Qi was studying, it was his aunt who would help him to look after Xi Xi.

Zhang Li Xue frowned when she heard his words. She glanced at her watch and her eyes widened in surprise. The two of them has been talking for a while and she did not notice that it was this late.
Swiftly, Zhang Li Xue pulled out her phone. Seeing that there were no missed calls or messages from her family member, Zhang Li Xue finally breathed in relief.
Since no one was looking for her, then, no one should have noticed that she hasn’t gone home yet.
Everything would be alright as long as she returned before anyone woke up.
“Will you be in trouble?” Bai Qi noticed her expression and began to worry.
Zhang Li Xue flashed him a smile. “It’s fine. I’ll be alright.”
Seeing that Zhang Li Xue began to carry her purse, Bai Qi knew that it was time for her to go home. But he was a little unwilling to watch her leave.
“It’s too late for you to go back home now,” Bai Qi spoke. “Why don’t you spend a night here?” Seeing the surprised look on her face, Bai Qi let out a cough. “At least, stay until the sunrise. I would worry to let you drive like this.”
Zhang Li Xue looked at him for a long time and smiled. “Alright.” She nodded.
It wouldn’t be safe for her to drive alone at a time like this. The street was empty. If something happened, it would be hard for her to get any help. It would be better to follow Bai Qi’s suggestion and stay at the hospital until sunrise.
She would feel confident driving around when it was brighter outside.

They walked passed the nurse’s station and finally arrived at his office.
This was the second time that she had come to his office. Zhang Li Xue looked around the place and sighed. She could see that Bai Qi was an organized person.
Bai Qi walked over to the bunk bed and tidied up the bottom bed. Then, he turned to Zhang Li Xue again and spoke, “You can sleep here for a while. Don’t worry. My bed is clean. When it’s brighter outside, I will wake you up.”
“Then, what about you?”
Bai Qi pointed to his computer. “I still have to write a report for Doctor Qi.” He flashed a smile. “Don’t worry about me.”
Zhang Li Xue knew that he had just finished surgery before he met her in the waiting area. She was worried that Bai Qi would be tired. But, she doesn’t really understand a doctor’s job.
