147 His Light
As he reached his floor, Bai Qi took another deep breath to calm down. Then, he pushed the door and walked out.
The anger on his face a while ago was no longer there. When he passed by his colleagues, Bai Qi would flash them a smile, pretending that everything was alright.
He walked past the nurse’s station and halted when he heard someone call his name.
Turning around, Bai Qi saw that Nurse Tian was looking at him with a gentle smile.
“Nurse Tian, what is it?” Bai Qi asked. His expression turned serious as he thought that something had happened to one of his patients while he went away.
“Doctor Bai, someone came to find you just now,” Nurse Tian said.
“Who is it?”
“It’s Miss Zhang. Doctor Qi’s niece.”
His eyes lit up. Bai Qi started to look around but was disappointed when he could not see his little fairy. His heart sunk as he thought that perhaps, Zhang Li Xue had gone back after waiting for him for a while.

“Miss Zhang said she will be waiting for you at the hospital’s garden,” Nurse Tian continued. “Doctor Bai, I think, she should still be around.”
“Nurse Tian, I will go and look for her,” Bai Qi said. “If there’s anything, just reach for my phone.”
Without waiting for the nurse’s reply, Bai Qi quickly turned around and headed over to the elevator. He pressed the button and stared at the number on the top. The number moved slowly before it stopped at a floor for a long time.
Bai Qi became impatient. He turned around and decided to use the staircase instead.
He wanted to go over to Zhang Li Xue’s side fast before she would give up and go back.
By the time he reached the ground floor, there was already a thin layer of sweat on his forehead.
