218 Age Difference

A couple of days later, Zhang Yu Han and his wife finally returned to Y City.

Zhang Li Xue had only walked downstairs to have her breakfast when she found them in the living room. Her eyes lit up and she went over to greet them.

Li Qin Yao looked at the girl in her embrace and heaved a helpless sigh.

Her daughter has always been sticky to her ever since she was born. Looking at the way she acted now almost made her laugh.

Zhang Yu Han patted his daughter on her head before turning to his wife. “I’m going to my study to look at a few documents.”

“Un.” Li Qin Yao nodded. “Go ahead.”

The man leaned over to peck at his wife’s cheek before heading upstairs to continue his work. He had taken a few days off to visit their son in Capital City. Zhang Yu Han had a few friends in the city and decided to visit them as well.

Now that he had returned to Y City, there were a few important documents that he had to look at.

When her father left, Zhang Li Xue pestered her mother to accompany her for breakfast.

.....

The mother and daughter chatted for a while before Zhang Li Xue finally asked her mother about her brother’s matter.

Li Qin Yao heaved a sigh when she thought about what happened in Fang Su Jin’s room the other day. The misunderstanding was indeed embarrassing for everyone.

Fortunately, her husband had spoken to the manager and let him warn the staff not to spout any nonsense about their son again.

“Li Xue, you have to help us and apologize to Su Jin,” Li Qin Yao said. “I’m sure that she must have been very embarrassed after what happened. After this, perhaps Su Jin won’t be visiting our home again.”

“Mommy, I already talked to Su Jin the other day,” Zhang Li Xue spoke. Then, she stuffed another dumpling into her mouth. “She was embarrassed about the whole thing as well. But, Su Jin understood that the reason you and dad were worried about Yi Hai.”

“You don’t know how scared I am when I heard that Yi Hai was with Su Jin,” Li Qin Yao said.

If the other party was not Fang Su Jin, perhaps, she would not be that agitated.

After all, her daughter has been friends with Fang Su Jin for years. The Fang elders also had a good relationship with their family. If that kind of rumor spread, it would only harm Fang Su Jin.

Fortunately, they had gone to Capital City to deal with the matter personally.

“I already said to your father that it was impossible for your brother to be together with Su Jin,” Li Qin Yao continued.

???????????????? ???????????????????????????? ???????????????????????? ???????????????????? ???????? ????????????????????-????????????.????????????

Zhang Li Xue laughed. “Mom, why do you think it’s impossible? Su Jin is such a good girl, don’t you think?”

“Don’t talk nonsense. Su Jin is your age and your brother is younger than her.” Li Qin Yao chuckled, knowing that her daughter was only joking around.

“Actually, their age difference isn’t a big problem,” Zhang Li Xue said. “Back then, my late great-grandpa often talked about my great-grandma. He often mentioned how great-grandma was older than him Because of that, great-grandma almost did not want to marry great-grandpa. He has to work hard to win her heart.”

In fact, Zhang Yi Hai and Fang Su Jin’s age difference was nothing compared to their great-grandparents.

Li Qin Yao was reminded of the old man and smiled.

Although the Zhang Jing has been gone for years, they would often miss him a lot. That old man always knew how to lift up everyone’s mood.

“That’s true.” Li Qin Yao looked at her daughter again. A thought came to her mind as she thought of her daughter’s words. “Then how about you? Is that man younger than you?”

Since her daughter was mentioning the age difference, Li Qin Yao began to suspect that her daughter was dating someone younger.

Zhang Li Xue was about to eat another dumpling. Her movement halted when she heard her mother’s question. When she looked up again, there was a tinge of pink on her cheek. Zhang Li Xue looked around to ensure that her father was not around before she answered, “No. He’s actually a year older. He’s around Brother Zhen Yu’s age.”

The smile on Li Qin Yao’s lips stretched out. “Then, when are you going to introduce him to me?”

This was the first time that her daughter was in a relationship. Li Qin Yao was anxious for her daughter and wanted to look at the boy quickly.

“Mmm... I still have to ask him first. He’s... a little busy.”

Her brow furrowed. Li Qin Yao was not too happy to know that the boy was too busy to meet her.

“Mommy...” Zhang Li Xue put down the spoon and decided to explain. “He’s a doctor.”

Li Qin Yao could not hide her surprise upon hearing this answer. “A doctor?” Now, Li Qin Yao was curious to know just how her daughter became acquainted with this doctor.

Zhang Li Xue had a sheepish smile on her face. “Mommy, this is enough information for today. It won’t be fun if I tell you everything. I will tell you about him again another day.” She stood up and planned her escape. “Mommy, I still need to head to the office.”

Li Qin Yao could only watch as her daughter left the dining room and sighed.

After making her escape, Zhang Li Xue headed straight to the office.

As she was not too busy with her work, Zhang Li Xue began to make plans on what she should bring for Bai Qi for their dinner date at the hospital later.

Picking up her phone, Zhang Li Xue texted her boyfriend to discuss with him their plan.

This time, Bai Qi replied to her within a few minutes.

Her lips curled into a smile as she thought of Bai Qi. Since he had replied quickly, then, he should be in the middle of resting.

“I won’t be working the night shift tonight,” Bai Qi replied. “A colleague swapped his shift with me. Li Xue, do you want to go out and have a meal together?”

Her eyes lit up at the thought of having a date with Doctor Bai outside the hospital building.
