As the taxi pulled over at the side road, Zhang Li Xue noticed that they were nearby a residential area. Her eyes swept around her surroundings and finally, she saw a road, heading to the shop lot area.

Zhang Li Xue could not help but glance at Bai Qi a few times. She wondered if there would really be a restaurant around this area.

Zhang Li Xue bit her lips, feeling a bit guilty. “This is a residential area. I just thought that it was strange that there would be a restaurant in this area,” she explained. “Anyway, it has been a few years since you came to this place.”
Bai Qi chuckled. He could not help but to pinch his girlfriend on the nose. “I found this place by accident. In the beginning, I also thought that it was strange that there was going to be a restaurant in this area. But you can be assured that the food here is quite good. You should try their local dishes as well.”
The two of them entered the building and were greeted by the server.
Bai Qi led Zhang Li Xue to the second floor and chose a table next to the window.
After choosing a few dishes, Bai Qi handed the menu card to the server and watched him walk away.
Zhang Li Xue looked around the restaurant and thought that the original architecture of the house was still preserved. The interior design was beautiful.

Bai Qi looked out the window before turning to his girlfriend again. “In the past, my family used to live around this area.” He stretched his hand and pointed in a direction. “Our house is in that direction.”

“But, after my father’s company went down, the house was put into auction.” Bai Qi’s voice was soft but steady. “After that...” His fingers shifted and this time, Bai Qi was pointing in another direction.
