402 Mini Honeymoon
After having dinner together, Bai Qi carried his wife into the car and left for their short trip.
As Bai Qi was driving, Zhang Li Xue could only look out the window as she was still clueless about their destination.
The vehicle turned to an intersection.
Zhang Li Xue looked at the nightlights and thought that the scenery was quite familiar. She turned to Bai Qi and asked, “We’re going to B City?”
Bai Qi turned to Zhang Li Xue briefly and smiled.
Seeing the look on Bai Qi’s face let him know that she made the right guess. However, she still could not guess their destination.
The car headed to an area she had never been to before.
She had often come to B City with her parents, but this was the first time that she had been to this part of the city.
The surroundings turned darker. If it was not because of the headlight, Zhang Li Xue might not be able to see anything. The place where Bai Qi was taking her seemed very secluded.

Zhang Li Xue looked at Bai Qi, but the man still refused to give her an answer.
“Don’t worry, I am not going to kidnap you,” Bai Qi chuckled when he saw the worried look on his wife’s face. “We’ll arrive very soon.”
“Are you sure you know where we are going?”
“Of course. We have a navigation system. What are you worried about?” Bai Qi stretched a hand and gave Zhang Li Xue’s hand a squeeze. “My wife, you just have to trust me.”
Zhang Li Xue stared at her husband and finally heaved another sigh. Although she was still anxious, Zhang Li Xue decided to trust Bai Qi’s words.
After another five minutes of driving, Zhang Li Xue began to notice the lights up front. Then, a large building came to view. It was then that she realized that this was a guest house.
Bai Qi pulled over in the parking lot and turned to his wife again. “We’re here.”
“What is this place?”
It was dark at night and there were not a lot of things that she could see. But the building in front of her was really pretty. It was a traditional house that was converted into a hotel. Zhang Li Xue thought that the building was beautiful.
“Mmm... He Rong introduced this place to me,” Bai Qi said. “He said that this place is close by and I just thought that it would be suitable for us to come.”
It was then that Zhang Li Xue recalled that He Rong and Mo Qing Huan had lived together in B City for a few years.
Back then, He Rong established a company with his friends while waiting for Mo Qing Huan to graduate. Later, the couple stayed together for a few years in B City while Bai Qi focused on this company.
He Rong must have known about this place while the two of them were staying in B City.
Zhang Li Xue watched as Bai Qi alighted from the vehicle. He took their bag and swung it on his shoulder. Then, he went to her side and carried her into his arms.
A laugh escaped her. “Are you planning to carry me into the building like this?”
“Why not?”
“Actually, you can put me down and let me walk. I can walk with my crutches just fine.”
Bai Qi leaned over to kiss her on the forehead. “Didn’t I say that I wanted to pamper you? The path might be uneven. It would be convenient if I carry you around.”
A silly smile curled on her lips. Zhang Li Xue wrapped her arms around Bai Qi’s neck while the man carried her into the building
Fortunately, there were not many people in the lobby. Bai Qi let Zhang Li Xue to sit on the sofa while he checked into the hotel. Once he got his keys, he carried Zhang Li Xue again into their room.
Her body bounced on the sofa, but Zhang Li Xue did not release her arms around Bai Qi’s neck. Her lips curled into a mischievous smile. “Doctor Bai, are you not going to tell me what are the plans?”
“It’s already late to do anything around this place,” Bai Qi said. “But, I had something arranged for you tomorrow.”
Her eyes lit up. “What are we doing?”
Bai Qi laughed. “I will take you around the place. He Rong said the scenery is quite pretty.” Seeing that his wife was staring at him with such an intense gaze made his body turn hotter. He let out a chuckle and spoke, “Let me put down our luggage first.”
It was only then that Zhang Li Xue released his arms around his neck.
While Bai Qi was putting down their luggage, Zhang Li Xue took her time to snap a few photos and posted them on her social media.
When Bai Qi returned to her side, he wrapped his arms around her body and carried her up. He leaned over and started to kiss her passionately while taking her to bed.
