531 The Dishes has Turned Cold
Zhang Yi Hai walked slowly until he reached Fang Su Jin’s side. His heart softened as he looked at her sleeping face. She must be really tired of her sleeping soundly like this. She did not seem to notice his presence.
After a while, his gaze shifted to the dishes on the table. There were three dishes and one soup, each was his favorite dish. From the look at it, every dish seemed to be prepared by his girlfriend.
In the middle of the table was a small cake.
Zhang Yi Hai stretched his hand to touch the food and found that the dishes has turned cold.
It made him wonder just how long has his girlfriend been waiting for him at home. He recalled their conversation on the phone earlier and realized that Fang Su Jin should have been waiting for him when he called earlier.
She did not tell him that she was coming to Capital City, so he did not know that Fang Su Jin was preparing this surprise.
Somehow, he could imagine Fang Su Jin’s excited face as she prepared everything and waited for him to come home.
Seeing everything around him made him feel bad.
He should have left the party after having a meal together. If he did not join them to sing at the karaoke place, perhaps, he would still make it to this meal with his girlfriend.

Zhang Yi Hai pursed his lips.
He wanted to wake her up, but seeing how she was sleeping soundly, Zhang Yi Hai did not have the heart to disturb her sleep.
After a while, Zhang Yi Hai put down his bag at the side before crouching down to look at his girlfriend’s face. She was still very pretty even though she was asleep.
Zhang Yi Hai leaned over to kiss her cheek. Cautiously, he then carried her into his arms and headed to the guest’s room. Fang Su Jin moved slightly in his arms, snuggling to get into a comfortable position.
Once she lay on the mattress, Fang Su Jin rolled to one side before she continued to sleep.
Zhang Yi Hai stared at her face again before kissing her on the forehead. Then, Zhang Yi Hai tucked her into bed and left the room.
He went back to the dining room and looked at the food that his girlfriend had prepared.
First, Zhang Yi Hai kept the cake in the refrigerator. Then, he reheated the food and sit down at the table. He picked up the chopsticks and began to eat the food. These were the food that Fang Su Jin had personally cooked for him. How can he let it go to waste?
Fortunately, he did not eat that much during the gathering. Therefore, he managed to finish everything that Fang Su Jin had cooked.

Fang Su Jin stirred in her sleep. Although she was awake, she was too lazy to open her eyes. Her body was tired and she thought about continuing to sleep for a while longer.

There was only one explanation.
It seemed that she had fallen asleep while waiting for Zhang Yi Hai. Then, he found her sleeping in the dining room and carried her to bed.
She did not even realize it when he came home.
She glanced at the clock and realized that it was already morning. The sunlight was peeking from the curtains.
Fang Su Jin stared at the wall, feeling frustrated that she did not get to surprise her boyfriend and celebrate with him.
Her mood plummeted at this thought.
After a while, Fang Su Jin slid down from the bed. She walked over to the door and peeked outside. There was a sound of someone cooking in the kitchen. The scent of toast wafted through the air. Fang Su Jin closed her door again and headed to the bathroom to wash up.
She patted some skincare on her face and came out of her room slowly.
Zhang Yi Hai turned around just as she reached the dining area.
His movement halted the moment he saw Fang Su Jin standing in his dining area. Zhang Yi Hai placed the pot into the sink and turned to his girlfriend again with a smile. “You’re awake.”
Fang Su Jin glanced at the table and saw that the table was cleared. The food she cooked was no longer there. She wondered what happened to it.
Could it be that Zhang Yi Hai had thrown everything away?
“When did you arrive? Why didn’t you tell me that you were coming?”
Fang Su Jin came to her senses and found that Zhang Yi Hai was already standing in front of her.
“I wanted to give you a surprise.” Fang Su Jin lowered her gaze.
