560 No Longer Sitting in the Wheelchair

After staying in the wheelchair for several months, it was time for Zhang Li Xue to revisit the hospital for her check-up.

If her legs recovered well, Bai Qi had promised that she did not need to sit around in the wheelchair anymore. Because of this, Zhang Li Xue was especially anxious.

As soon as Zhang Yi Hai dropped her at the entrance, Bai Qi came over and exchanged a few words with him. Initially, Zhang Yi Hai planned to go in to accompany his sister. However, Bai Qi told him that his shift had ended and he could accompany Zhang Li Xue home.

Seeing that there was someone to accompany his sister, Zhang Yi Hai decided to leave her and went on a date with his girlfriend instead.

Zhang Li Xue watched as her brother flew away very quickly speechlessly.

To think that he would abandon his sister just like that...

Seeing the look on her expression made Bai Qi chuckle. He pushed her wheelchair further into the hospital building and spoke, “It’s good that he’s leaving now. After this, we can also go on a date.”

Zhang Li Xue’s eyes lit up. She was very much looking forward to going out with Bai Qi. “Really?”

“Un.” Bai Qi nodded. “We can leave after I changed my clothes. But of course, it depended on your check-up today.”

.....

Lowering her gaze, Zhang Li Xue stared at her leg and hoped that everything would be alright. Then, her gaze shifted to her clothes.

If only she knew that Bai Qi would take her on a date, she would have worn something cuter.

Before she knew it, the two of them were already in front of the doctor’s office. The couple waited for a while before the nurse finally told them that the doctor was free and could see Zhang Li Xue.

Bai Qi exchanged a few words with the doctor before the check-up began.

During this time, Zhang Li Xue did not dare to breathe loudly as she was still worrying about her leg.

Hearing that the doctor finally said that she could walk around as usual, Zhang Li Xue finally smiled brightly. She turned to look at Bai Qi and her eyes turned to crescent.

The two stay around to listen to the doctor’s reminder before they finally left the place.

Since the doctor already said that she could walk around, Zhang Li Xue no longer wanted to sit in the wheelchair. She waited for Bai Qi to return the wheelchair to a nurse before supporting Zhang Li Xue to his office.

The elevator stopped with a ding and the couple walked out.

As they were passing the nurse’s station, Nurse Tian saw that Zhang Li Xue was no longer seated in the wheelchair and smiled. “You’re no longer sitting in the wheelchair. Congratulations.”

Zhang Li Xue had a sheepish smile on her face. “Mmm... Today is the final check-up. Doctor Bai finally said that I don’t have to sit in a wheelchair anymore.”

Nurse Tian shifted her gaze to Bai Qi and smiled. “Doctor Bai cares about you a lot.” She recalled how Bai Qi would not allow his wife to move because of her injury.

Seeing the couple together made her feel all sweet.

However, Nurse Tian thought that Doctor Bai was too protective. He would not let his wife walk around until she was completely healed.

Bai Qi saw that the two of them were chatting and decided to head into his office to change his clothes and grab a few things.

“So, the two of you are going on a date after this?” Nurse Tian spoke. “No wonder Doctor Bai was such in a good mood earlier.”

Zhang Li Xue looked in the direction where Bai Qi had left and smiled. “Nurse Tian, next month Bai Qi and I will hold a wedding banquet. I will ask Bai Qi to send an invitation to you. On that day, you have to come.”

Nurse Tian was there to watch her and Bai Qi dating. Zhang Li Xue thought that she definitely have to invite the nurse for helping her date Bai Qi at the beginning.

Nurse Tian laughed happily. “If I am not working that day, I will definitely come.”

While the two of them were chatting, Bai Qi returned and took his wife away.

Zhang Li Xue sit in the passenger’s seat and turned to Bai Qi. “Where are we going?”

“Let’s go and watch a movie,” Bai Qi said. “Then, we can go for lunch and walk around?”

Zhang Li Xue did not mind this arrangement. As long as she was with Bai Qi, she would be happy. However, she looked at her husband again and pursed her lips. “Then, are you not tired? You just finished your shift.”

“It’s alright.” Bai Qi stretched his hand and patted his wife on the hair. “It wasn’t so busy last night and I managed to get some sleep.” Moreover, he could tell that his wife was excited to go out on a date.

Zhang Li Xue thought that they would only be watching movies and decided that it would not make Bai Qi very tired. “Alright.”

Seeing that his wife has agreed, Bai Qi drove the car to the cinema complex they often visited.

Once they arrived, Bai Qi helped his wife out of the passenger’s seat and supported her as she walked.

Although her leg was healed, Bai Qi was worried that Zhang Li Xue might trip on something and fall. After all, she has been sitting in a wheelchair for a while and was not used to walking for a while.

Seeing that Zhang Li Xue could walk with ease finally made him feel at ease.

Of course, while Bai Qi was away at work, Zhang Li Xue would often get off her wheelchair and practice walking on her own. After all, Zhang Li Xue was not someone who was used to sitting around doing nothing.

The two of them decided to watch a new blockbuster movie and bought some popcorn and drinks.

As they entered the hall, Bai Qi wrapped his arms around Zhang Li Xue’s body, hugging her close.

The beginning of the movie was slow. Zhang Li Xue was about to complain about this to Bai Qi when she realized that the man had fallen asleep with his head resting on the chair.

A helpless sigh escaped her.

Seeing that he was too tired, Zhang Li Xue decided to let him sleep for a while.
