608 Worrying Too Much
Zhang Li Xue tried to tell her husband that she did not need to go to the hospital. She thought that she would feel better after some rest and eating some medicine. However, no matter what sort of tricks she came up with, Bai Qi would not cooperate.
To him, his wife’s health was the most important. He did not dare to be careless.
Soon, the couple left the apartment and headed to the hospital.
Although Bai Qi was one of the doctors working at the hospital, he still bought his wife to queue along with the other patients.
He saw that there were a lot of patients who were in much more difficult positions and decided to wait just like the others.
However, Bai Qi was quite popular at the hospital. He had good look and many of the higher-ups seemed to like him. Because of that, a few of his colleagues saw him sitting in the waiting area and quickly shared his photo with his wife.
In the end, the photo reached Qi Zheng who was in his office.
Seeing that both Zhang Li Xue and Bai Qi were in the general department, Qi Zheng decided to head over and found out what was going on with them.
Fortunately, when he arrived, the two of them were still in the waiting area. As he walked over, Zhang Li Xue was leaning her head on Bai Qi’s shoulder. Noticing his presence, Zhang Li Xue quickly sat up straight and greeted him, “Uncle Qi Zheng.”

Qi Zheng nodded. “Li Xue, Bai Qi, why are you here?” He shifted his gaze between the two. “Are you feeling unwell?”
Zhang Li Xue exchanged a look with Bai Qi.
Seeing this, Qi Zheng let out a chuckle and continued, “You don’t have to worry. Li Xue, I won’t say anything to your parents. You should know that your uncle is very professional.”
Zhang Li Xue laughed. “Actually, it’s nothing. Just that, I’m sure that Bai Qi is worrying too much.”
Her answer made him frown. He looked at Zhang Li Xue worriedly. “What happened to you?
“It’s nothing,” Zhang Li Xue said. “I ate a little bit too much yesterday and my stomach was feeling uncomfortable.”
Of course, Qi Zheng did not believe Zhang Li Xue’s words. He knew Bai Qi well. As a doctor, Bai Qi would not take his wife to the hospital just because Zhang Li Xue was feeling uncomfortable after eating too much.
“This morning, Li Xue spent a few minutes in the bathroom vomiting,” Bai Qi said. He glanced at his wife and added, “This happened twice. I’m worried that it might be food poisoning.”
Qi Zheng stood up straight. He watched the couple in front of him for a while and pursed his lips into a thin line. A thought came to his mind, but Qi Zheng decided not to come up with a conclusion too early. “Tell me what happened. What did you eat?” He sat down across the couple as if to help them analyze what happened.
Bai Qi answered before his wife could say a word.Of course, he would remember everything that his wife had eaten from dinner to breakfast.
Qi Zheng looked at Zhang Li Xue again and spoke, “And what about now? Are you still feeling uncomfortable?”
Zhang Li Xue put a hand on her chest. “The nauseous feeling is still here. But it was not as bad as this morning.”
Qi Zheng continued to ponder over this matter. A few seconds later, the corner of his lips tilted up into a smile. “Li Xue, could it be that you are pregnant?” He let out a cough and continued, “After all, the two of you have been married for a while.”
Zhang Li Xue stared at her uncle in shock.
Pregnant!
This was something that never crossed her mind before!
Although Zhang Li Xue has been looking forward to her pregnancy, she decided not to think about it too much after a few months of trying.
Her heart was beating hard and loud. Thinking that she might be pregnant made her excited and anxious at the same time.
Zhang Li Xue turned to her husband and saw that he too was watching her in disbelief.
Qi Zheng watched the couple’s reaction and guessed that they both had not thought of this matter. After a while, his gaze shifted to Bai Qi.
This person was a doctor and was good at his job. However, he never thought that his wife might be pregnant...
“Why don’t I arrange something to get you checked?” Qi Zheng spoke. “Li Xue, you should be ready for a few tests.”
Zhang Li Xue nodded absentmindedly. Then, she followed Qi Zheng to the OB/GYN and was sent into a room where she had to give the nurse a few samples.
When she came out of the room again, Zhang Li Xue found that Bai Qi was waiting for her. The two of them were looking at each other with unfathomable looks in their eyes.
After a while, Bai Qi stretched his hand to hold his wife’s A faint smile curled on his lips upon finding that his wife’s hand was a little cold.
Taking a deep breath, Bai Qi pulled his wife into his embrace. “It’s alright. Don’t get anxious. Let’s not think too much and wait for the result.”
Bai Qi knew how much Zhang Li Xue was waiting for this moment. From the beginning of their marriage, Zhang Li Xue had mentioned wanting to have a baby between them.
Because of that, Bai Qi was worried that Zhang Li Xue might be disappointed if she did not get pregnant as she had thought.
The two of them continued to stay that way for a while.
After a while, they finally pulled away to look at each other.
Bai Qi looked into his wife’s eyes and could see the hint of excitement in them.
A helpless sigh escaped him.
The two of them sat around in the waiting room anxiously, waiting for the result. After a while, a nurse came out from the doctor’s office and called Zhang Li Xue’s name.
Holding hands, the two of them entered the room to know the result.
