CHAPTER 62

"You do?" Sky and Xander asked in unison.

Jay nodded his reply at them.

"Where?" They chorused their question again.

"You'll see. Anyways, get ready for a trip."

__________

~JADE'S APARTMENT~

By the next day, Macy and Jade got their things ready to travel. Jade received a call from Xander telling her to meet him at the airport to go for a vacation and get the stress over them.

He had failed to mention that they would all be going and Jay and Sky would be coming too, so Macy and Jade felt it was going to be a Calming weekend.

Imagine her shock when they got to the airport and found out that they were all going to the same place.

They got in on a private plane and everyone boarded with the other three barely saying anything to each other.

Macy felt that the whole situation was very awkward and she tried to stick to Jade at all times or she would pretend to be busy reading or listening to music to prevent Jay from even speaking to her.

Before long they had gotten to an island about two hours ride from the city and highlighted. The scenery was such a splendid and nature gratifying one, leaving Jade and Macy who had never been there speechless.

"Welcome to Star Island," Xander whispered into Jade's ears from where they were sitting.

He had successfully taken away Jade from Macy while telling her to brace up and interact or she would remain lonely forever.

Macy of course had been mad but when she thought about the fact that she should not spoil Jade's romance because her luck in love turned sour, she let Jade follow the stubborn CEO.

Jade whipped her head to the side to look at Xander, only bringing her face inches away from his. She smiled at him and her posture only made her hair scatter and fall on her face.

Xander let his eyes fall on her loosed hair then gently helped her tuck it behind her ears and removing all the blockage preventing him from admiring her charming face.

Slowly he let his gaze fall to her lips and felt the need to just lean down and captured those soft velvety lips inn his and kiss them good.

He had missed the feel of her lips on his and his whole body ached to have them on his. He had to be a gentleman all these while and win over her friendship rather than demand it and one of the rules was no kissing.

It was as though Jade felt the same thing and her eyes flutter close a bit the back open.

The way she looked at him through her lashes only made him gulp loudly as Jade watched his Adam's apple go up and down, making him look all too sexy.

That was it, she was done playing the safe car, she also wanted to kiss him as well. But realizing that it was a kiss that made every one of them undergo this journey in the first place, Jade cleared her throat.

Xander blinked at her but his gaze still held his desires in them, not ready to back down even if she wanted to as well.

He dipped his head in, bringing his lips closer to hers. Jade hesitated for a split second before closing her eyes as he did the same and leaned in to receive what he was offering.

The moment their lips connected, a voice spoke interrupting them from whatever they were doing, causing Jade to blush sill as she bowed her head in embarrassment when she noticed who it was.

It was one of the air hostesses. She had come to tell them to fasten their seat belts and prepare for landing when she met the couple about to kiss.

"I am sorry sir, please fasten your seat belt." Xander looked down at once and saw that his seat belt was not placed on. He had removed it when he wanted to whisper into her ears and surprised Jade.

He looked at Jade's waist and saw she had her seat belt on. Feeling like the odd one out he turned to look at the hostess. With a faint smile, he nodded at the air hostess then proceeded to do as she asked.

As soon as that was done, she bowed her head to him and took her leave to check on the others.

From the corners of his eyes, Xander could see Jay smiling happily and almost in a fit at his predicament.

He snarled at him and Jay immediately comported himself.

'Tsk, you were much calm when you were heartbroken. Now that Sky had reconciled with you, you are a blabbermouth that. Be thankful Quinn is by my side.' Xander said in his mind but Jay heard it quite well and froze for a second there till he heard Xander's appealing, dangerous laughter.

"What is the matter? Jade asked him, concerned that something must have happened.

"Oh dear, did I scare you? Sorry about that." Xander apologized with a sweet smile.

"No. It was just... Never mind." She shook her head and returned her gaze back to the water below, enjoying the view while it lasted.

"You are more pretty than the beauty the ocean provides." Jade could not help blushing at his remark and flushed she remained till they got down and waited for their tour guide.

Xander really was a charming and sweet guy or so he portrayed himself to be and that had only made his two friends be awed at the development.

He was always cold towards people and the girls that flocked around him, he barely spared them an eye. All he chased after was the pleasure they could give and that was that.

There were no feelings, no attachment whatsoever. Actually, they had all lived their life in such a way apart from Sky who found love at a younger age and that was why they were here, to ensure that he kept it, no matter what.

"Welcome to Star Island," A young man in his early thirties said with opened arms. "And welcome our beautiful guests, mademoiselle," he slightly dipped his head in as he greeted Macy and Jade, earning a smile from them in return.

Xander saw this and only got jealous that Jade would flash another guy her smile when he complimented her.

Ever since their kiss was interrupted, he got a little bit overboard and became more protective of her as though someone would jump down and still Jade away.

Noticing the cold gaze Xander shot at him, the man cleared his throat and peeled his eyes away from Jade but not before he caught Xander moving up to her and wrapping his hand around her waist, marking his territory.

"Forgive me, Master Xander, this way please." He quickly apologized and showed them the way.

Their bags were left to be carried by the workers there to their various rooms while the man gave them a little tour around the villa to accustom themselves there.

"Then tomorrow would be the perfect time to explore this island. Get ready and keep your hearts jiggy in preparations to be awed by the wonders of the world."

Macy and Jade clapped for him but none of the guys did. They had seen this place all too well and had come here time and time and again.

There was nothing new and it was just the peripheral…the outskirt of the true beauty the island held.

"Thank you, Luke. That would be all." Xander tipped him and held out his arm for Jade to lock hers in it when his phone rang.

"Oh sorry, let me get that." He apologized briefly and quickly brought out his phone from his trousers' pocket. "Hello, yes?" his facial expression suddenly changed and he excused himself to make the call.

"Luke, show them to their rooms. Quinn, I would see you when I am done. It is important."

"Okay." She nodded her reply at him and turned to look at Luke with expectations etched deep within her eyes.

"Shall we?"

"Sure." Macy and Jade chorused then they followed him as Jade bade Sky and Jay goodbye.

"See you at dinner. I would have lunch delivered to your rooms so you can eat and relax." Jay called out to them.

"Yeah."

They turned and followed Luke. "Hey." Jade nudged Macy on the ribs.

"Hi."

"What's with the gloomy attitude? Try and smile and talk to him at least." Jade prodded.

"Easy for you to say, you weren't the one who fooled herself and kissed a guy."

"Yes I know, I wasn't the one but do not kill yourself because of it. Everything would be alright and fine. I know it. I am sorry that you got hurt but I am here for you."

"Yeah, I wish. Xander just won't let me steal you. He loves you, Jade."

"What have I said about the name-calling?" Jade asked her friend sternly in a whisper as they walked behind Luke.

"Sorry."

Letting out a deep sigh, Jade shook her head and smiled back at Macy.

"I know it would take some getting used to but please I need you to, okay?"

"Sure. I would try my best."

"Good."

"And voila! Welcome to where you would be staying," Luke said while opening his hands.

"Thanks a bunch, dear. Would we be staying together?" Jade asked, looking around.

She could see two small houses lay before her and wondered where they would be staying.
