After the performance was over, applause rang throughout the auditorium.
Ning Zhi retreated and quickly got out of her costume backstage.
“Where are you going, Ning Zhi?” Zhou Qing saw Ning Zhi change out of her costume quickly and was about to head out.
“My family is here. I want to go talk to them.”
“We will be grabbing some late-night snacks to celebrate tonight. Will you be joining us?” Zhou Qing looked at Ning Zhi with anticipation. Many had asked her about Ning Zhi, and now that Ning Zhi was well-known in school, she had overshadowed the Beauty Queen.

“Brother Kuo, it’s Ning Zhi, and she is walking in this direction. I am sure she’s here looking for you.” The brown-haired boy was very emotional.
There was a hint of nervousness on Shen Kuo’s fair face. He looked at the girl walking toward him, dazed. His throat felt a little dry.
Lu Jue glared at the boys next to him, displeased. Zhizhi wasn’t here looking for them.
Ning Zhi had already changed out of her costume. She had on a light blue dress, which further accentuated her fair skin. She was so dazzling that others could not take their eyes off of her.
Ning Zhi attracted a lot of attention as she walked over. Especially after the others recognized her as the evil stepsister earlier. Everybody started talking about it.
Ning Zhi saw that more little black clouds with lighting were popping into the indicator above Lu Jue’s head.
She hastened her steps.
When she had gotten closer, the others noticed that she was even prettier up close. Her nose was small and delicate, her lips red and plump. Even her eyes were limpid and looked like they were adorned by fragments of stars.
The brown-haired boy couldn't help but nudge Shen Kuo, urging him to get ready to greet Ning Zhi.
Not getting a response, he turned and looked over his direction. The brown-haired boy saw that there was shyness and nervousness on Shen Kuo’s clean and fair handsome face. He looked very different from his usual cold self.
Ning Zhi walked over. Right when Shen Kuo’s handsome face blushed and he didn’t know what to say or do, Ning Zhi had already walked past him to go to the one seated next to him.
“Lu Jue.”
Shen Kuo heard Ning Zhi calling out to the quiet boy in the red hoodie softly.
He looked over, stunned. All the boys next to him were also stunned.
Ning Zhi didn’t come looking for Brother Kuo?
There was discontentment and possessiveness in Lu Jue’s pitch-black eyes. He reached out, held Ning Zhi’s wrists, and pulled her to sit down on the other side of him intentionally so that nobody else could see Zhizhi.
After she had sat down, Ning Zhi saw Mother Lu turning around, and she called out to her with a smile, “Mom.”
Then Old Mr. Ning and Old Mrs. Song, too, turned to look at her.
Ning Zhi sweetly greeted her grandfather and grandmother, too.
