Chapter 13: Back to Home (2)

Like how turning off a phone fixes most of the weird stuff it faces – sleep worked the same way. At least for Enrique last night.

He woke up with Anna in his embrace, hugging him as she slept, and was surprised when he noticed his skin was back to its normal colour while his hands lacked their claws. Really, now that he thought of it – why the hell did he agree to share a bed with Anna with those sharp dangerous claws on his hands?

For the record, nothing “sweaty” happened between the two of them last night. They just slept, though Anna did hug him tightly the whole time.

Careful to not wake her up, he pushed her away and stood up slowly and made his way to the mirror in the other room. Standing in front of the mirror, Enrique summoned back his clothes inside him (that were transformed into white sleep-wear) and looked at his body.

His normal, humane body.

"Good…"

Even though he was clearly back to his normal form, he still felt physically stronger than before the mutation, though weaker than when he was fully transformed. That was an appreciating side effect.

He looked down on his right hand, curling it up to a fist, as he channelled his will to bring his claw out. It chipped out in existence from above his wrist as he hissed in pain. Shit. He now knew how much Logan was hurt every time he took out his claws.

Taking a few seconds to let the pain subside – which it surprisingly did, probably due to some sort of pain immunity – he observed his claws carefully. Sharp. Brushing his finger against it, he watched his blood drop to the ground. He didn't even feel the sensation of the cut, it was that sharp. He poked the claw inside the wall to the side, and though he felt some resistance it still pierced through easily.

'It's dangerously sharp.' Enrique realised sleeping with Rogue last night was a idiotic idea.

Curious at just how sharp the claws were, he summoned part of his suit around the forearm of his other hand before scratching it against the fiber.

-Jhink!

Sparks of fire lit up upon contact, but surprisingly, his suit wasn't even scratched.

“Holy shit. What is this thing made of? Vibranium?”

[”Oh? You know about vibranium?”] though he wasn't expecting an answer, his Goddess spoke suddenly. [”Also, good morning and congratulations on getting your success of turning the transformation off.”]

“Good morning, and I do know about Vibranium, yes.” Enrique decided to be truthful after thinking for a minute. “Originating from Wakanda. I don't suppose you have, or used to have, believers in that place too?”

[”First of all, no, it's not Vibranium. It's Adamantine, a magical metal forged in the core of the sun by Amun-Ra himself. Second of all, no I don't have any believers in Wakanda. That's the Goddess Bast's— Amun-Ra's daughter, therefore my stepdaughter— region of ruling.”]

Enrique was so surprised at the first part that he didn't care about the second part at all. “Wait really? The Adamantium?”

[“No. This is Adamantine. They sound similar, but they're different. This one is physically weaker than Adamantium – meaning that Wolverine boy should be able to cut through you – but it is magically resistant. This would give you an upper hand against enemies with magic – such as Thor.”]

Holy god. Such a powerful thing.

“Wait but Magneto couldn't manipulate my suit though.”

[“As I said, it's magically resistant, that doesn't mean it is only resistant to magic. Direct effects such as the magnet mutant’s powers can be shrugged off by it.”]

“Haah,” Enrique sighed. “You have no idea how powerful this makes me. I am practically immune to half the things this place has to offer – and that says something given how huge this universe is.”

Of course, most of his future enemies could afford tons of adamantium, make bullets with it and shoot him, but he had counted on that possibility.

After calming down, he realised that this meant his claws were less sharp than Wolverine, by a large margin given it couldn't even cut through his much weaker Adamantine armour. However… he smirked as he channelled his will to make his armour spread to his claws, wrapping around it like nano-machine particles.

“I love this suit so much.” he said while his Goddess gave a short laugh.

Then he brought out the finger claws on his other hand and scratched the wall. This time it took some effort and though his claws didn't hurt he visibly cringed at the sound of claws scratching the wall. It dug into the wall with some difficulty. So his black claws were better. Oh well.

He wanted to test out transforming fully as well, but in the end decided against it. Standing at 7”3, taller than fucking Shaquille O'Neal was fun but it wasn't practical to be stuck like that for a day without any reason since he wasn't sure if he would be able to turn the transformation off without sleeping.

He rather called back his claws, and though his nail-claws didn't hurt as they just shrunk in size, he visibly winced when his big claws shrunk back inside his wrist. That hurt, and also left a disgusting hole in his wrist. He had a healing factor, pretty common for beast-like mutants, but it didn't seem that powerful. The small scratch he made on his finger a few minutes ago had just healed. Without any other choice, he entered his [Lightning Cloak] mode and watched his wounds close at a visible rate.

Honestly, he had many restrictions, but he was fucking overpowered given this was the MCU plotline (so far, with some tweaks here and there) and there shouldn't be any big power struggles anytime soon. He was street level yesterday – as even though he was durable he lacked destructive capabilities – but now with his beast transformation he wasn't even sure what his upper limit was.

Okay, maybe he was being too delusional. It was dumb to assume there won't be comic book characters in here that didn't exist in MCU. He could name twenty of such characters in a breath who could beat him even in their sleep.

Also, with a more physical-based power, his need to find a martial art teacher just intensified. He doubted any of the normal people would be of any help to him, given even in his base form, without the suit, he was close to Peak Human strength.

But who?

Enrique turned off his Cloak as he was healed already and made his way inside his bedroom. Thinking he might find what he was looking for, he sat on his computer desk. After half an hour of Google search, he found some news about this "Supernatural Dojo" in New York. Well, it's been closed now for six months but he found it curious.

After the Dojo owner, Master Kee's death at the hands of "robbers", the Dojo got closed. However, he found an interesting clip of this "robbing" incident buried deep inside the web. In the video, a tiger-woman and a woman in a white-tiger costume were seen fighting multiple men clad in red ninja-dresses and escaping. It was a bad-quality video, so it wasn't that popular but even the few people who did see it dubbed it as a movie stunt.

However, Enrique found it curious.

Tiger-Woman (aka Tigra) and the superheroine White Tiger. The two girls in the video were most probably them.

Interesting. They both had tiger-related powers, and from his knowledge (along with the fact they seemed to be a part of a supernatural dojo) Enrique believed they were good fighters. It would be best if Enrique could get training help from them.

The problem was finding them…

“Busy?” he heard Anna’s voice from the side, and turning back he found her standing behind the door while rubbing her eyes. She wasn't wearing cyclops' glasses anymore, meaning she was back to normal as well. “Good to see you're back to normal, by the way. Am I interrupting something important?"

"No, not really." Enrique yawned and stretched his arms. "Get fresh, I will order something. Not in the mood for cooking."

"Why?" Rogue walked over, suddenly taking a seat on his lap as she threw her arms around his neck, tilting her head to smile at him. "Why do you need food when you have someone to eat already?"

"..." Enrique stared at her briefly— a very complicated light flashing on his eyes as he gave a short chuckle.

This didn't seem like Anna. The light in her eyes were different. The smile on her lips was also different. The other very minor changes in her facial expression, that his enhanced senses caught onto, said so too.

It was almost as if someone had taken over her body.

'Professor Xavier? No, he wouldn't come sit on my lap.' Enrique thought. 'Probably.'

That left only one possible culprit behind this, with the context of the current situation at mind.

"Jean Grey?" Enrique asked aloud, watching 'Anna' blink in surprise. "I would assume Charles' the one who liked controlling little girls. Didn't take you for that type. But then again, we haven't really met before."

Anna frowned for a second before her head jolted back and she blinked. "Huh? What just happened? Uh, why am I here?"

She grew flustered as she looked down at her butt resting over his crotch while he held her waist firmly. He didn't let go and she kept sitting there with her face growing redder.

Enrique heard the front door click open before footsteps entered the house. Then the X-men – Professor X, Wolverine, Storm, Cyclops and Jean – walked inside the room. A kid accompanied them, and Enrique recognised him as a young Ice-man, aka Robert "Bobby" Drake.

Everyone's eyes immediately fell on his and Anna's intimate posture. Anna's face froze once she noticed Bobby, and the boy froze as well.

"Good morning, mind a tea?" Enrique smiled at them.
