1581 Huo Yao’s Low Profile
Zhuo Yun turned and saw Yang Yi in a daze after hanging up the phone. He could not help asking him. “Yi?”
Yang Yi narrowed his eyes and turned off the laptop. He stood up, glanced at the middle-aged man by the side, and said, “I’m going to the Weapons Bureau for a couple of days.”
Zhuo Yun glanced at him. They had been working together for a long time, so they could read each other very well. He paused and nodded. “Okay then. Watch your back.”
“Uh huh.” Yang Yi acknowledged softly and walked out of the room with his laptop.
After he was gone, Zhuo Yun called his men to take care of the middle-aged man. He left from there after he was done giving the instructions.

In the blink of an eye, it was the end of the month.
On the day of the trip, Huo Yao told Liu Qian she had to take leave from school.
The moment Liu Qian heard she wanted a leave for ten days, he jumped up. “No way. That’s too long. The company is going to have an important meeting in a couple of days or so. You have to be there.”
Huo Yao already saw this coming. She simply sighed and said, “It’s going to be a busy day for you today.”
“What do you mean?” Liu Qian did not understand what she was trying to say.
“I sent a program code to your email yesterday. When you talk to the DO Corporation, just give the code to them,” said Huo Yao unhurriedly.
Liu Qian promptly walked up to the desk and accessed his email account. Sure enough, he had received an email from her earlier.
Liu Qian took his hand away from the mouse. He looked at Huo Yao and asked. “You want to take so many days of leave from school. Shouldn’t you at least tell me the reason?”
“I’m attending an academic conference.” Huo Yao spoke candidly.
“An academic conference?” Liu Qian was stunned. He knew there was no Biology academic conference going on.
Huo Yao nodded. “Oh. I forgot to tell you about it. I am doing a double major.”
Liu Qian felt stunned.
What did she mean by forget?
Liu Qian was not a Physics teacher, but they were interdisciplinary subjects with Biology. He promptly thought about a Physics academic conference that took place every spring.
“Is Physics your second major?” asked Liu Qian.
“Uh huh,” replied Huo Yao softly.
Most of the time, only the best students got to attend academic conferences. Teachers also had the right to choose to bring students along. Huo Yao had been religiously attending classes at the Biology department for the last term and he did not recall seeing her attend classes in any other faculty.
Liu Qian’s face twitched. He looked at Huo Yao intently. “Who’s your teacher?”
Huo Yao was a little startled by the look on Liu Qian’s face. She paused for some time before she replied hesitantly. “Prof Rong.”
Liu Qian was stunned.
Rong Jun was a first-class national researcher and a department fellow. The stupid girl quietly took two majors and was Prof Rong’s student, no less.
Liu Qian could not handle the shock. When he found out Huo Yao was acquainted with the man in charge of DO Corporation, he had felt the same way.
Huo Yao failed to detect the complicated emotions flooding Liu Qian’s heart. “Does this mean you’re approving my leave?”
Liu Qian snapped out of his thoughts and could not help glaring at Huo Yao. “You’re Prof Rong’s student. Can I refuse?”
He had to approve the leave. Otherwise, Prof Rong would come after him for this.
“Great. In that case, I’m leaving now.” Huo Yao promptly turned to go. She had to get to the Physics department.
Liu Qian shook his head. Some kind of luck for him to accept this student. She was a genius with such a low profile!
