In between, he lost consciousness which helped her to remove all the chains carefully without letting him feel any more discomfort.
After returning, naturally, Ryuuta and his teammates came running down the living room since they sensed the portal was activated. Still, there wasn't anything they could do to stop the inevitable.
The image of Kaori shedding wordlessly while suppressing her voice, so she doesn't wake Kei was heartbreaking for the four.
