In the cold city ruins, there were broken steel bars, damaged iron balls, and collapsed walls. Moneymaker was very interested in the surrounding environment and often headed into the ruins searching for items. Its adaptable body could easily transform and slip into gaps like it was made of liquid.

After a while, Moneymaker came back empty-mouthed.

“What’s the matter?” Gao Peng touched his head, laughing.

“Squeak.” Moneymaker shook its head. Obviously, it felt that there were good items around it, but it just couldn’t find them. This feeling made it very uncomfortable.

“We all make mistakes,” Gao Peng poked fun at it.

“It has nothing to do with me. I can feel that it’s there, but… it runs!” Moneymaker said stealthily with a sly look. When it said this, its tail formed an S-shape.

“Well, could be a treasure with feet.”

“Yes, yes! It must have feet.” Moneymaker nodded.

Talking and laughing, Gao Peng continued to lead the other familiars forward.

“Gao Peng, there are no monsters in this city.” Flamy stooped down to look at the debris, trying to find some insects under the rubbage to satisfy its greed, but aside from screws and little broken nails, there was nothing.

Moneymaker was still trying to chase the treasure on foot, dashing around in the ruins. Anyway, it was fast, so Gao Peng didn’t have to worry about whether it would encounter danger.

Clang. The sound of metal colliding came from the ruins in the distance. Gao Peng turned his head in the direction of the sound. As if it was a prelude, the sound became more and more intense. A symphony was heard from the city. In the ruins before Gap Peng, an iron frame was lifted. A pair of heavy steel pliers laid below it.

They were supposed to be a machine. The crossbar on the bed was disassembled into two mechanical arms with strong explosive force.

There was a faint sign over its head.

[Monster Name]: Mechanic Machine Tool (Life)

It didn’t have a specific level, just a strange light on the surface of its body. Aside from that, most of the items made of iron were active and alive. A living mechanical head was walking on the ground, kicking up the debris and flattening bricks. With an expressionless face, it strode toward Gao Peng and his team.

Dong!

“Squeak—” From afar, Moneymaker flew and fell in front of Gao Peng, then rolled around a few times.

In the air in the distance, a steel ball with a diameter of 100 feet floated in the air. There were some cracks and depressions on the surface of the ball, but at this point, these injuries were continuously being treated recovered.

A circle of electricity curled around the surface of the steel ball.

[Monster Name]: Giant Mechanical Lightning Protection Ball

[Monster Skills]: Healing Lightning Level 7

Thunder and lightning exploded, and electrical light shone in all directions. The previous damage on the surface of the living mechanical objects near the light started healing automatically.

Da Zi looked on curiously, then opened its mouth and took a deep breath. It swallowed a ray of the healing lightning. The pair of wings behind it shimmered slightly, and eventually, a layer of complex circular patterns of lightning was printed on the top of both its wings. At a glance, it looked like the healing lightning.

Da Zi could consume different lightning and convert it into its own power. Although there were many monsters with lightning power, there were only a few that Da Zi appreciated. Including this healing lightning, it now held nine different kinds of lightning.

“Gao Peng, do you want me to melt them all into liquid steel?” Flamy asked while holding its big stomach.

“Don’t. I don’t know if they mean any harm.” Gao Peng didn’t want to make any rash movements. Of course, the most important reason was that the ability of these mechanical lives wasn’t much of a threat.

Rumbling, the ground below trembled. A crack opened in front of them and continued to expand on both sides. From the bottom of the crack, a long steel ladder rose, leading to the bottom of an abyss.

All the surrounding mechanical life swarmed close, surrounding Gao Peng in a large circle, then knelt to worship him.

What is going on? Gao Peng couldn’t figure out why they’d knelt for no reason. Unless my ruler aura has taken effect? Do these monsters view me as their new king?

As the mechanical life surrounded them, Gao Peng was stuck in the middle. The only way out was the strange passage under his feet.

From among the surrounding mechanical creatures, a small, at merely five inches tall, creature came out. It had a pen-like appearance, but its bottom split into two legs. It walked out, bowed to Gao Peng a few times, then bounced towards the passage.

It paused at the entrance of the passage, looked back at Gao Peng, then jumped in the same position a few times. It seemed like it was asking Gao Peng to enter with it.

“Master.” A group of familiars looked at Gao Peng. Gao Peng squinted and tried to focus his eyes, then chose to merge with the Dragon Ant. The abilities of the Dragon Ant were more diverse and could cope with emergencies.

Gao Peng felt his vision improve after merging with the Dragon Ant. After warming up, he allowed Goldie and Fatty Big Sea to head down with him. He then commanded the other familiars to guard the exit and be ready to take over at any time.

As he walked down the cold ladder, footsteps echoed in the passage. Sunlight fell through the cracks from the top, since the passage wasn’t too long. After three hundred steps, he reached the end. A wide and spacious underground hall was in front of him.

Above the hall, on the ceiling, dense thick smoke floated, isolating all movements and hiding it from external detection. In the middle of the hall laid a huge steel giant.

At a quick glance, the body was nearly 350 feet long. Every inch of it was artistically contoured, with crooked barbs, sharp spears, and dense scales. Though it was lying on the ground, the vibe that emanated naturally from the body was disconcerting.

The pen creature stood in front of the steel giant and bounced in Gao Peng’s direction.

[Monster Name]: King of Robotics Mountain

[Monster Condition]: Heavy injury (energy shortage, severe damage to core drive, joint damage)

[Monster Level]: Level 108 (Elementary God)

[Control of Rule]: Iron precept 7.8% Space precept 2.1%

[Special Characteristic]: ?

[Monster Weakness]: ?

[Monster Description]: One of the four great mechanic gods, it has taken heavy damage. It is in urgent need of recovery.

A living god.

Of course, this was Gao Peng’s second encounter with a god. He had met more than one god in the wild before, but at that time, they had all been viewed from afar. It was the first time that he was observing one from a distance of fewer than 600 feet.

The Dragon Ant took 23 steps back quietly. The status bar didn’t show that it was unconscious, which meant that this guy was still alive; it was just pretending to be asleep.
