An Yao’s body slightly trembled, and her face turned pale. She shook her head, looking at a loss.
Teacher Liu’s face darkened even more. She was so furious to know that a student had said that she had no ethics as a teacher and even disgraced her profession.
If these words spread out, others might gossip about her.
She always valued her reputation the most.
“An Yao, I just wanted to tell everyone that some students in our class have poor grades. And they drag down the overall standing of our class. But did I mention any specific name? How did you know that I was mocking Lan Xiao?” With a darkened expression, Teacher Liu slammed the book in her hand on the rostrum and glared at An Yao.
An Yao trembled. Soon enough, tears welled up in her eyes.
“Teacher Liu…”
“An Yao, come to my office after the exam. Everyone be quiet and start answering.” Teacher Liu didn’t want to listen to An Yao anymore, so she interrupted her at once.
All the students fell into silence. They looked at each other, picked up their pens, and started answering the test.
An Yao also sat down and looked at Lan Xiao with an aggrieved expression on her face. She complained, “Xiao Xiao, how can you do this to me? I’m only concerned about you.”
