Chapter 79: Thieves
To Lu Ying, that was truly a dark period of time.
He and Qiao Yue were the last disciples of the old doctor. Qiao Yue joined later and he was the old doctor’s adopted son who grew up by his side. Logically speaking, he should have learned better and finished his apprenticeship earlier. However, he was afraid of misdiagnosing patients or sticking the needle in the wrong place among other things that he didn’t dare to see patients alone. However, he’s not pleased that Qiao Yue didn’t use her own name to practice medicine. Instead, she used his name and left much of the follow-up work on the almost cured patients to him.
Qiao Yue became more outrageous after he cleaned up after her a few times. Whenever she encountered a difficult case, she would leave his name and contact information with the patient, while she happily disappeared.
As time went by, he gradually got used to treating patients. He honed his medical skills, and was no longer afraid of treating patients.
Reminiscing, Lu Ying let out a long sigh and picked up his phone to type, “What time are you arriving? I’ll pick you up.”
Qiao Yue’s reply came very quickly. In less than two minutes, Qiao Yue’s message appeared. “No, no, no. I’ll be travelling with the Qiao’s. Why would you come to pick me up? Let’s catch up when I’m there.”
Lu Ying knew that Qiao Yue was busy again and did not reply to her message. “Qiao Yue! Do you have any sense of shame? Even a beggar has more dignity than you! Your mother was a thief, and so are you! You’re here to steal from my family!”
Qiao Xin saw that her mother had been worried in the past two days about Qiao Yue meeting her grandfather. She was also upset, but there was nothing she could do. She could only find Qiao Yue to make him back off.
“Qiao Xin, was the previous lesson not enough? Do you need me to remind you?”
Qiao Yue looked at Qiao Xin coldly. Qiao Xin was really skilled at courting death. She knew that her mother was her Achilles’ heel and yet she brought her up every time.

Qiao Xin trembled from Qiao Yue’s stare, but her domineering nature from a young age made her unable to lower herself. She pouted and said, “Your mother was a thief, and you don’t admit it! What right do you have to stay in the Qiao family? You are the sinner of the Qiao family!”
