As the archers came forward, they began to showcase their impressive skills. Each shot was expertly aimed and executed, taking down one soldier from the opposing side with deadly precision. The main objective was to eliminate all of the archers, as they were the only real threat to my minions. The warriors from the enemy village couldn't match the skill of my swordsmen minions.

I approached the wall as the battle raged on, my heart pounding with excitement. My archers were taking down enemy soldiers with each shot, their arrows whistling through the air and thudding into flesh with satisfying force. Arrows were also being fired from the opposing side, but they were unable to harm my soldiers, who were well-protected by the iron wall. My decision to bring the iron wall with me had proven to be a wise one, as it was now proving to be the key to our victory.

As the sound of enemy arrows decreased, the attack from the opposing side eventually ceased altogether. I ordered my minions to only kill the warriors and to spare the innocent villagers. My brute force minions opened the wall and my warrior minions, along with brute force and swordsmen, entered the village. They began killing all of the warriors, pushing the citizens back into the village and ensuring their safety.

I sent an intelligence variant to assess the situation within the village and report back to me. He returned with the information that all of the enemies had been defeated and that it was safe for me to enter. I rode into the village on my horse, my head held high, with Chloe by my side on her own horse. We were now the rulers of the village and the villagers looked upon us with a mix of fear and respect.

A few of the enemy warriors had been captured by my minions and were kneeling in a line, awaiting their fate. I didn't want to be involved in their execution, so I sent Chloe to take care of it. I instructed her to kill each of them and ensure that none of them escaped alive. She went to the enemy soldiers while I headed towards the storage area. Inside, I found some impressive weaponry, including highly advanced crossbows and other deadly instruments of war. One of the villagers was with me and explained the weapons to me, including one with a small pipe and a large bag attached, which the villager said was a flame thrower. I couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction and pride as I surveyed the spoils of our victory.

I was truly awestruck by their invention. Now I understood how the flame throwers on the wall worked without any magic, it was pure engineering brilliance. The villager showed me an array of weapons, each one more impressive than the last. They showed me swords that were lighter than any sword I had ever seen in my city, yet they had double the strength and sharpness.

As I held one of the swords in my hand, I could hardly believe its weight, or rather its lack of it. It was half the weight of my own sword and yet it felt like it could cut through anything. I was truly impressed by all the items they had in their storage, it was a true treasure trove of weapons and armaments.

We moved forward and saw that they had a vast amount of gold and silver, piles of it. They were skilled craftsmen, so they had accumulated a large amount of wealth through their efforts and trading. The villagers were even crying as my minions took out all the gold and silver from the storage, it was clear that they had a deep attachment to their possessions and wealth.

I ordered my minions to bring every villager to me, I wanted to address them personally. This was their hard-earned wealth, so I thought that I could earn their loyalty and respect by showing them that I understood and respected the value of their possessions.

The prisoners from outside the village were also brought inside and were kneeling in a line, awaiting their fate. I asked them about the gold and if they had any records of who owned how much of it. The villagers told me that the gold belonged to each and every villager equally and that they kept everything together and everyone had equal rights to it. I was deeply impressed by their sense of community and trust in each other.

I announced to them that I would be taking half of the gold and silver as payment for my services, but in return, I would provide them with bigger and more comfortable houses. I could see that their current houses were small and cramped. I would provide each and every one of them with a bigger house, with proper sanitation and heating. My city had well-paved roads that connected each house and lamps for the night, so they could walk outside just as easily during the day. They would have access to all the amenities and luxuries of my city and most importantly, they would be protected and safe under my rule. I urged them to come with me and live the life they deserved, a life of prosperity and security.

They had no other choice, because if they didn't come with me willingly, I had an army that would force them to and they would also lose their gold and silver. So, after they agreed, our journey back to the city began.

We arrived back in my city by evening, the village was easily taken this time and it was clear that the villagers had accepted their fate. I reached the city and the minion manager began allotting each family their house. I went to my palace and lay on my bed, feeling a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment. I was waiting for the minion manager to be free and bring me today's report. After some time, he brought the report, I was happy to find out that there were no casualties at all. Now I had to think about the next step, I called the intelligence variant minion and sent him to gather information about the attack and who was responsible for it.

I told him everything and sent him to my outpost. Now, I had to wait for the information this minion was going to bring back for me and plan my next move. The conquest of this village was just the beginning, there were many more to come.
