He wanted to ask her if she really went to a movie set, to plead with them for a role, while she was carrying his child. The moment Xie Zhuojun entered the house, Shangguan Rouxue spotted him, from where she stood, on the second floor. She hurried downstairs and threw herself into his arms. She said sweetly, “Finally you are here, Zhuojun! I thought you were too angry to come and visit me.”
She was very happy that Xie Zhuojun still loved her and cared about her.
He had come to see her the moment he got to know that she was feeling unwell.

With tears in her eyes, she asked innocently, “Zhuojun, so you aren’t here to see me? Why aren’t you asking me about my health?”

Shangguan Rouxue did look sick. Her face was pale and she had gotten much thinner. Her exquisite chin looked even more sharp.
Xie Zhuojun was, after all, still in love with her. He didn’t push her away this time but persevered with his query. “Tell me Xue, did you shoot for a movie?”
Shangguan Rouxue looked up from his arms and tears twinkled in her eyes. “Zhuojun, do you trust me or not? Of course, I didn’t! You didn’t want me to enter the entertainment industry, so why would I do such a thing?”
“But Ning told me that you went for an audition yesterday.” Xie Zhuojun said unsurely. Shangguan Rouxue was saying something that was in total contrast to Shangguan Ning’s version.
“Ah, did sister really say that?” Shangguan Rouxue feigned surprise. Then she said in a pitiful tone. “Sister must still be angry with me. Maybe that’s why she told you that. I did go to the casting studio yesterday, but all I wanted to do was to update the Director about my situation and thanked him for thinking that I was capable of carrying off such a role. The Director wanted me to play the part of the leading female protagonist and every other member in the cast was confirmed too. I was the only one who had still not signed the contract because I wanted to explain my stance to him and apologise to him, in person.”
Xie Zhuojun looked at Shangguan Rouxue suspiciously.

Also, I am pregnant now and I will regard baby as the most important. How would I ever shoot for a movie in this condition?”

Shangguan Rouxue stiffened. She asked nervously, “Zhuo… Zhuojun, why are we going to the hospital?”
Xie Zhuojun ran his fingers through her long hair and said with a smile, “You said that you are not feeling very well, right? Let the doctor check you up, just to see that there is no serious complications with you or the baby.”
Shangguan Rouxue relaxed a bit, hearing his explanation. But she still said, “I don’t want to go to the hospital. I am fine, please just keep me company. I am tired. Carry me upstairs so that I can get some rest, okay?”
Unmoved, Xie Zhuojun said to her, “We must go to hospital. I have already taken an appointment with the doctor. He must be waiting. Let’s go now.”
