She rushed out of the door and dashed towards the staircases. She ran really fast alongside the staircases.
The elevator of the 39th floor was broken. It was not certain if it had been broken by the man. The main point was that it could not be used.
She rushed to the 38th floor by stairs and then took the elevator down to the lobby of the first floor.
Zhao Anan felt that anything with number 8 was related to hell!
Because every time she rushed to the 38th floor, there would always be some problems. For example, she couldn’t even reach the 37th floor, be it with staircases or with the elevator!
She knew that being such a tall building the elevator couldn’t have possibly been staying at the 38th floor waiting for Zhao Anan to go down. Sometimes, all four elevators could stay at one floor at the same time!

Someone had pressed the button of the 1st floor of all the elevators at 3 in the night!

There had been no progress in the past few days.
Zhao Anan was now missing for a month. Mu Qing and Tiger, as well as Tiger’s men, had started to search in the UK thoroughly.
Luckily, Jing Yichen had offered some help in the UK, and a group of Asians and Europeans were searching despite day and night and at any cost.
Today, they came to a building that was well equipped and well guarded.
Mu Qing had not gotten the time to even trim his hair in the past few days. He still shaved himself every day though so that he could feel slightly more energetic and not look like a hobo who might be driven out by the security guards of various buildings.
They managed to enter this building because they had paid a great deal of money for it.
Mu Qing and Tiger went on separate ways, as usual. As Tiger brought his men for the searching one floor after another from bottom to the top, Mu Qing and his men started the search from top to bottom.
In order to stop anyone from coming down the elevator, Tiger fixed all the elevators to the first floor, so that the elevator was unavailable for the next two hours. In this way, no one would be needed to guard the entrance. What was more, on every 5th floor there were men standing on guard. It would be impossible for anyone to run without crossing them.
Soon they finished the searching of the 40th floor, but failed to find that silhouette in the deepest corner who resided in the deepest corner of his mind. But Mu Qing was not irritated. He was now used to being disappointed.
As long as there was still hope, he would never give up.
He soon came to the 39th floor.
Mu Qing, together with his men, blew some smoke into each household, waited for two minutes and then pried the door open before walking in.
Nothing occurred after the search of the entire floor.
But Mu Qing felt that one apartment seemed a bit suspicious.
The place had all the lights on and the water in the bathroom was still running. But no one seemed to be at home.
This apartment had one bed in the bedroom and another in the living room. One more was found at the entrance. This arrangement made Mu Qing suspicious.
But it could turn out to be nothing.
After looking for Zhao Anan for so long, Mu Qing had already understood that there were many kidnappings and murders which took place here all the time. He had run into many such cases already.
Also, he found that many people had weird habits. It was quite normal that someone would have three beds in one home in different places.
But it still needed to be checked carefully.

She got completely startled when she reached the 37th floor, because that man was standing at the elevator’s door, waiting for her.

The man gathered his five fingers to form a sharp shape, and struck hard upon Zhao Anan’s neck, cutting off her scream that was about to burst out.

A second before Zhao Anan passed out, she cursed inside her heart – this evil pervert, what a hard strike! She was definitely going to get a big bruise behind her neck.
He picked Zhao Anan and climbed up to the 39th floor.
