So now, he no longer dared to tag along with Zhao Anan everywhere.
If one of the couple was making sacrifices all the time, he would get tired as time went by.
Mu Qing had gotten tired numerous times, and also confused about what he should do.
For example right now, he was tired. It could be because of the strenuous blood transfusion, or because of the bottleneck which he had run into while courting Zhao Anan.
After he finished injecting the last drop of fresh blood into Lu and saw Lu’s pale face as well as Jing Yiran’s concerned one, he suddenly felt very jealous of him.
Even the heartless Jing Yiran had met the woman he loved, and Lu who had no emotional experience, was getting his love and care.
A couple in love would eventually have a good end, as long as both of them stayed devoted.
He had been waiting for Zhao Anan for eleven years, starting from the age 20 all the way to the age of 31.
Mu Qing was certain that he had no interest in any other women. Zhao Anan was the only one for him.

As he returned to his own office, he saw his phone ring.
Seeing the caller’s name on the screen, Mu Qing smiled bitterly yet answered the call, “Hey, Sister-in-law!”
“Doctor Mu, am I interrupting you?” Shangguan Ning asked with a slight smile. She knew that Mu Wensheng and Mu Qing were busy with Lu, and that the procedure had been going on for days.
“No, I am resting!” Mu Qing sounded hoarse, still spoke pleasantly. He was a cheerful person and had the ability of driving away the distress in his heart.
“How is Lu? Is she okay?” Shangguan Ning learnt from Jing Yichen that Lu was suffering from illness, so she was worried that something might have happened to her.
Mu Qing answered assuringly. “Don’t worry, Sister-in-law, Lu is doing fine. The operation will be finished by tomorrow. She wouldn’t have any problem for at least five months after this.”
“That’s good!” Shangguan Ning felt assured, and then asked him the same question. “Doctor Mu, did you think about my proposal?”
Mu Qing smiled bitterly again and answered in a low voice. “Sister-in-law, let’s drop it. I am worried that Anan would… get mad.”
Shangguan Ning did not seem to care about what Zhao Anan would feel. Instead, she said with displeasure, “Shame on her if she gets mad. Don’t worry, if she ever gets to know the truth, I will take the blame! I am not afraid of offending her. She sold me out before and this is the time for me to take revenge.”
Shangguan Ning would not have done this in the past, because she did not want to force Zhao Anan. What was more, outsiders had no say in anyone’s relationship.
But Shangguan Ning had been feeling quite guilty since the time Zhao Anan went missing last time.
She would not have gone missing, if Shangguan Ning had pushed Zhao Anan towards Mu Qing irrespective of Zhao Anan’s feelings.
She and Zhao Anan had a deep relationship, so even if she got mad, it would be ok. Soon she would forget being tricked.
Seeing Zhao Anan and Mu Qing’s relationship stay stagnant, Shangguan Ning was very worried. So she put forward the countermeasures but Mu Qing disapproved of the idea.
Damn! Mu Qing spoiled Zhao Anan way too much. He did not want Zhao Anan to go through any discomfort. No wonder Zhao Anan was dominating him.
Mu Qing explained instantly realising that Shangguan Ning was getting unhappy. “That’s not what I meant, Sister-in-law! You are doing all of this for our sake. You must not take the blame. I am very grateful to you, really!”
Shangguan Ning chuckled inside her heart but stayed serious on the face. She interrupted Mu Qing and said, “Alright, if you are grateful to me, then we will put the plan in action, now. You must not tell Anan anything but focus on your performance. I know her well, and even if this trick is a bit bad, it would work well on her. Maybe you will get her to become your wife within two months’ time.”
“Ah… Sister-in-law, please, I can not…”
