He immediately knew they came out of the Tomb. He became excited and he started to plan on how to snatch the inheritance. He continued to follow them he planned to ambush Jian and Zhou You and at that time he will kill them because he thought that they didn't know he was following them.
He didn't know that his movements were seen by Jian. Because ad Jian had teleported he immediately had activated Star Gaze to check whether see if anyone was following. He had seen Kong Peizhi hiding.
Jian didn't directly confront him because although he knew that Kong Peizhi was here inheritance he didn't want to attract attention by fighting neatly the tomb. He had started to fly away from the tomb. He had also planned to ambush Kong Peizhi when they are at a large distance from the tomb.
