Nathaniel POV:

To say our current situation was surreal would be an understatement. According to the system, we had transmigrated into a game. What kind of joke was that? Even though he had told me minutes before, I still didn't understand why us? My little sister asked me in confusion about transmigration, but before I could answer, the system spoke. We both heard the voice because we jumped a little from our position.

[Yes, exactly like in the games, host 2, However, this world is not a game. All people are real.]

Said the monotonous voice of the system. We exchanged confused glances, we knew the term transmigration. We didn't live in a cave, but it was different for it to happen to you. So I decided to ask for information.

"System, could you explain, everything?" I asked, a little unsure if the system would understand such a vague question.

[Right away, host 1. A god from the astral plane has decided to send you both to a world inspired by a game called "Beyond the Horizon" on a whim of the entertainment gods. Your main mission is to steal everything the protagonist loves and will love.]

[Ding...]

[Main mission: He suffers, and you enjoy.

Description: Steal the protagonist's capture targets and his opportunities to earn fame, don't let him have prestige by robbing him of his dreams. Make him lead a miserable life for the rest of his life.

Reward: Freedom and the goodwill of the entertainment gods (you can ask them for a favor).

Failure: No chance of reincarnation].

"What?" we both said in unison, my little sister watching me nervously while I was confused.

"What do you mean by 'no chance of reincarnation'?" I asked.

[You have died in your previous life, so if you fail in the mission you will be returned to the void, without the chance of reincarnation].

"When you say steal everything from him, do you mean steal his harem and all that?" my sister asked, with a worried expression.

[Correct, Host 2]

"How does a heroine consider herself conquered?" My sister asks again. At this point, I understood where this whole thing was going.

[When you own her mind, heart and body].

"Does my brother have to do it?"

'Huh?' At this point I was confused, does my sister swing the other way?

[It is recommended that host 1 be the one in charge of claiming the heroine because of the rewards they would give for claiming her virginity].

"Big brother..." She sent me a look with complex emotions, but I ignored it for the moment.

"Why us?" I ask without protesting. They were gods; it was better not to make them angry.

[Drew lots with people who had read the book and played the game. The host was the winner, but due to an exception, they also decided to send host two as a token of goodwill].

I nodded, but I also felt confused. I knew about a book called, 'Beyond the origin' but 'beyond the horizon'? What was that? My sister watched my confused expression with a shy and somewhat flushed face, which made me suspicious of her.

"Do you know what 'Beyond the Horizon' is?"

"Th-that..." She said hesitantly, not knowing how to respond, which made me squint.

['Beyond the horizon' is an eroge game based on the book 'Beyond the origin' you are the Edevane family, located in the continent 'Oblitare' more precisely in the city of Luria in the kingdom of Asvan.]

'Wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait that said 'Beyond the origin'? This is bad. We are Edevane, from the Edevane family, a villain in the book. My favorite book did they bring out a game? Why didn't I hear about it? Wait...' My eyes went to my sister, who quickly waved her hands with a nervous expression.

"It's a misunderstanding! I found out about the game from Japanese social networks, and I knew you liked the book, but I never liked reading, so I bought it to learn more about your tastes. I didn't know it was an eroge until I played it!" She explained quickly, waving her tiny hands and looking very tender, so I couldn't help but let out a giggle.

'I'm just kind of confused why they rated it eroge. It doesn't have that many sex scenes' I wondered in my mind but decided to confirm my theory using my sister.

"What did you think?" This question seemed innocent, but it would confirm two theories: if they were both the same or there were changes, and second if my cute little sister was secretly a pervert.

"Well... the protagonist was insufferable, but the heroines were okay, I guess" She said, somewhat vague. As expected of my little sister, she didn't fall into my trap.

'wait? insufferable protagonist?' It seemed that my first theory was confirmed.

In the novel, the protagonist was cunning and intelligent, not enough to be a genius, but he didn't think with his little brother, and some of his plans pleasantly surprised me. There was nothing about him that was insufferable. Basically, I did not know whatsoever as they had completely changed things. This wasn't nice, but I couldn't help but feel relieved. After all, in the novel, the final enemy is the newly discovered continent, where there are beings more powerful than the major powers, where the protagonist and his party *cough* harem *cough* fight and even some powerful heroines die. It was a tragic ending, but it made you able to understand the magnitude of the enemy they faced. Fortunately, in the end, most of the main characters survive but are very badly wounded. I didn't want to fight something like that being cannon fodder.

[Since the hosts are taking the situation in stride, I will proceed to bestow the system's unique abilities]. Excitedly, we nodded toward the voice.

[Each hosts will be allowed to choose their unique skill from the system, your choice cannot be changed, nor can choose the same, so you must select wisely].

After that a semi-transparent screen unfolds in front of our vision.

[Unique system abilities available:

>Like an open book

Description: The host can read emotions and thoughts if these are strong enough (no matter if the person is a game character or just an ordinary person) can be activated and deactivated at will.

>Character information

Description: You can see basic information and their strength level and affection towards you from any person in front of you.

>Infinite storage

Description: You can store things infinitely in the system storage and use it at any time (only applies to inanimate objects).

>Conversation assistant

Description: By paying an amount of points to the system, you can display a window with answers to a difficult question; however, two of them will lead to a bad ending, and only one will be the optimal answer].

"The last one is useless" I thought out loud.

My sister nodded and seemed focused, deliberating her decision, but honestly, I already knew what she would choose, so I was left with only two options, storage, and information. Although storage was tempting, the system would indeed have some item that would allow me to store items, although not infinitely, information was the most logical answer since I didn't know the new characters in this world, and to steal capture targets, I needed to see how they felt about me. I was sure my sister had no lesbian tendencies, so the job of stealing heroines fell to me. I couldn't help but sigh. Dear sister, your brother will sacrifice himself for both of us, live a quiet life for me.

"Done" Said my sister and the 'Like an open book' option disappeared.

I chose the option 'character information' and nothing strange happened. I decided to do a little test to better understand the skill. I looked at my dear sister and thought about using the skill.

[Name: Charlotte Edevane
