Title: My Son Might be a Villain
Translator: Fringe Capybara
Chapter 287 - Su Ran had hoped that Su Han could do down the musical path as well but it was looking likely. (2)

Su Han couldn't help but looked over at Su Ran. He looked both resentful and worried at the same time.

“You sure you don’t want someone to stay behind with you?”

“I’m sure.”

“What if you run into some other issues. Uh, I mean, what are you going to do if you are in a bad mood again all of a sudden?”

“Don’t worry. That won’t happen.”

“Then, you have so much stuff to move from the production team to your hotel. How are you going to do that all by yourself?”

“I don’t have as much stuff as you are portraying. Besides, I can always have the hotel send a bellboy. They can help me.”

“What about on your way back?”

“You won’t need to worry about that either.” This time it wasn’t Su Ran who spoke; it was Lu Shao.

“You!” I was talking to my mom, what does an outside have to do with it?

Su Han was just about to retort when Lu Shao cut him off.

“Besides.” Lu Shao glanced over at Su Han and, as though he could read his mind, said, “Even if someone had to stay behind to be with your mother, that won’t be you.”

Su Han, “!”

Well then who’d that be? You?!

Su Han gritted his teeth and stared at Lu Shao angrily.

“You need to go back to school,” said Lu Shao to Su Han “cruelly”.

“Exactly.” Su Ran, too, nodded in agreement. She looked at her son solemnly and said to him, “Classmate Su Han, your vacation is over and you need to go back to school. Alright?”

“I can go back a couple of days late,” said Su Han quietly.

“No, then you will be two days behind.”

“Impossible. The classes are so easy that I can totally self-taught,” said Su Han in a calm and disdain tone.

Su Ran almost nodded when she heard Su Han’s words.

But.

“Still no. Your attendance also counts towards your final combined scores at year end,” said Su Ran with a frown.

“As such, you must go back to school with your dad.”

Having said that and seeing the disappointment that flashed past her son’s face, Su Han couldn't help but said in a milder tone, “There’s only a couple of days left in the competition. I’ll be back soon.”

“Oh.” Su Han nodded dully. But he returned to his normal cool look again shortly. Looking at Su Ran, he said, “Then after I am gone, you need to be safe, go to bed early, and don’t spend too much time on your cellphone……”

“Alright.”

“Son.”

“What?”

“You seem kind of naggy lately,” said Su Ran to Su Han relaxingly as she blinked at him.

Whatever happened to his image as the cool and cold school heartthrob?

“I.” Su Han’s look froze for a little while when he heard that. He turned away reflexively and then, with a helpless look, said, “You are clumsy. I just don’t want you causing troubles is all.”

“Puuff–“ Su Ran finally couldn't help but busted out lauhing from her son’s awkward look.

“Oh, Son.”

“……”

“Son?”

“What is it?”

“Come here. Give me a hug.” When Su Han was stiffened on the spot, Su Ran had already taken a step up and gave her son a big, big hug.

“Oh, how I don’t want my son to go,” said Su Ran relaxingly.

“I said I will stay to keep you company for the next two days but you didn’t want me to,” said Su Han stiffly as he slightly turned his head.

His tone was still cool, as was his expression. If one was to overlook his slightly pinkish face, that was.

“No can do.” Su Ran gave her son a very solemn stare upon hearing his words.

“You! Go back to school!”

“I need you to score first place in the final examinations.”

“Why?” asked Su Han as he looked at Su Ran.

Wouldn’t umber two still be a valedictorian?

“For bragging right,” said Su Ran very righteously as she looked at her son.

“Besides, I believe it was customary at your school that the parent of the number one student their grade will be able to speak on behalf of all the parents during the parent conference,” said Su Ran to her son, her eyes beaming.

She had been looking forward to that since Du WenTao’s mother had told her about this tradition at No. 7 High School. She looked forward to that more so than the award ceremony for this music competition.

She even had her clothes that she would be wearing on stage picked out.
