After a slight pause, Su Han added again seriously, “I still have a lot of homework to do and Dongshan Mansion is so far away. If we are going to go over there, I don’t think I will be able to finish my homework before midnight.” Having said that, Su Han did not forget to give Lu Shao a provoking look.
Lu Shao frowned sightly.
For the first time, he realized that having a child in the household was a hassle.
“Em, perhaps you should head home first?” asked Su Ran as she looked at Lu Shao.
As for Lu Shao, he gave Su Han a resentful look and looked back at Su Ran. His lips curved a little and, as though he was making a very big “sacrifice”, Lu Shao nodded and said, “Okay.”
“Would you like to go for a walk?” asked Lu Shao again as he looked at Su Ran.
“Yes, alright,” said Su Ran with a smile as she nodded.
She would just chuck that up to walking Lu Shao downstairs.
“I want to go too then,” said Su Han dully while looking straight at Lu Shao.
“You go back to your homework already,” said Su Ran as she looked at her son.

Watching as Su Han walked back into the room, displeased, Lu Shao’s lips curved. A mocking look seemed to have crossed him until Su Ran’s voice rang next to him again.
“Shall we go?”

Su Ran had not forgotten to tell her son to work hard on his homework before she walked out the door.
There weren’t a lot of places to walk around in these old residential areas.
The two went downstairs and started heading toward where Lu Shao had parked his car.
Perhaps because they had dinner later than usual today, there weren’t a lot of people on the street at this hour anymore.
Occasionally, someone drinking and having skewers on the side of the road would turn and look at Su Ran a couple of times, but Lu Shao stared them all down.

“That being said though.” Pausing, Lu Shao looked at Su Ran and said, “Shouldn’t you be giving your husband some sort of a reward?”
