“You were the one who said I can pick whatever I want,” said Su Ran with a very serious look as she tried not to laugh while looking at the displeased look on her son.
Alright, she did do that on purpose.
Mainly, Su Ran had noticed that under the influence of his father, her son had become more and more mature lately and had not been as fun to tease. She couldn't help but to tease him a little.
Had Su Han knew what was going through Su Ran’s mind, he would for certain have told her that: No, I didn’t become more mature; I only made a pact with a certain someone to let you have your way as much as possible.
That being said, teasing was one thing, Su Ran really wasn’t going to follow through with that.
Looking at Su Han’s speechless look, Su Ran smiled.
Of course she did not end up buying the pink Hello Kitty bedroom set for Su Han in the end.
After walking around most of Furniture City, Su Ran finally picked out a set that was of high quality and the salesgirl had reassured Su Ran that it was “very durable for boys”. It was a simple and minimalistic set.

Except that, when walking past where they were earlier, Su Ran looked at the pink Hello Kitty set and felt a little regretful.
“I think it was quite nice……” said Su Ran to herself.
It was cute. How she wished to buy it.
Upon hearing that, Su Han, walking in front of her, stiffened a little.
Next to her, Lu Shao’s lips curved upward.
“It is quite nice.”
The set was of high quality; the craftsmanship was nice; and many spots were padded. It was very safe for a child to sleep in……

Su Ran had no idea that Lu Shao had already thought that far ahead. She nodded in satisfaction when she heard Lu Shao agreeing with her.
“Let’s go check out the master bedroom section.”
“Okay,” said Lu Shao.
Looking at the very attractive family of three that were walking toward her, the salesgirl’s eyes lit up and she walked up to them enthusiastically.
“Are you looking for bedroom set or just beddings?”
“Bedroom set.”
“Is it for a master bedroom?” asked the salesgirl as she looked at the handsome boy walking behind the couple. “Or for the child?”
“We’ve already got a set for a child. We want to shop for the master bedroom.”
“Of course. What kind of styles are you looking for? We have Northern European style and modern-day styles. They are very easy to mix and match.”

“Modern-day will be sufficient. Let’s keep it simple,” said Su Ran after thinking about it some.
Su Ran was much less troubled when she was picking out her own set.
Much like the living room and dining room, she was just going for simple and cozy.
“Surely. This way please. These are all the new styles from this year. I trust they will serve your needs.”
“The beds are over on this side. We have many different styles. As far as colors go, if you don’t like what you see, you can always put in a custom order.”
The salesgirl turned around as she talked. Looking over at Su Ran and Lu Shao, she asked, “As for the size, what do you have in mind?”
“1.8 meter.”
“Something smaller.”

Lu Shao was the one who said the first thing.
And Su Ran the second.
The master bedroom in their new place really wasn’t that much bigger than their last.
Su Ran was, after all, on a budget when she bought the place. As far as she was concerned, a place that was big enough was sufficient.
Su Ran’s original plan was to have a piano inside her bedroom much like her in previous life.
Partly it had been a habit of hers for many years to have a piano next to her.
On top of that, she had sound-proof wall put inside the bedroom and Su Han would not be disrupted when Su Ran used the piano in her room.
And, if she was to put a piano in there, Su Ran figured she would get a smaller bed.
She had, after all, already gotten used to sleeping on the couch in their little broken apartment. A 1.2-meter bed would be more than sufficient.
