“I know I am handsome, but do you really need to stare at me like that?” said Su Han with a hint of resentment after giving Su Ran a gloomy look when he finally couldn’t handle the stare anymore.
Su Ran: ?!
Alright, she took back what she had just said.
Sure enough. Now that her son was grown, he was not cute anymore.
Looking at Su Han, Su Ran suddenly, uncontrollably recalled what Lu Shao had just said a little while ago while they were downstairs.
If they were to have another child……
Would they be as good looking as Su Han?
Su Han looked more like Lu Shao. If they had another child, would the child look more like her?
Or, they could look like Lu Shao. A mini Su Han didn’t seem like a bad idea either.
Would the child be as remarkable as Su Han?
After all, from the original owner’s memory, Su Han became the way that he was all on his own. There wasn’t much to speak of in terms of upbringing.
And, even with Su Han being a valedictorian, she was still worried about his studying and his examinations.
What if the next child had bad grades?
The thought of that made Su Ran oddly nervous.
Suddenly, she came to and realized that she seemed to be worrying too much.
She and Lu Shao had barely gotten anywhere, why would she be worrying about children?
Oh, whatever. She would put that out of her mind for now and worry about that later.
Omitted the slightly raised temperature on her cheeks, Su Ran said that to herself two times before she put the “children” subject on the back burner.
Lo and behold, she received a call from Lu Shao right at this moment.
“I’m home.”
Lu Shao’s voice coming over the phone was so tender that it would not go unnoticed.
“Okay then, you should……”
“I think a daughter is better.”
Su Ran, “!”
“Ahem. Then don’t stay up too late. G’nite!” Having said that, Su Ran quickly and decisively hung up the phone.
“What were you guys talking about?” Seeing Su Ran had hung up on the phone, Su Han, who had been “very focused” on studying his English vocabulary, couldn't help but gave Su Ran an odd look and asked.
In all honesty, it didn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out who the call was from.
He wondered what the Lu guy had said. Why was it that he felt that this woman was actually stranger than usual?
“Nothing,” said Su Ran. She gave Su Han a solemn look and said, “You focus on your vocabularies.
“The final is in a little over a month. Your teacher had already said it in the group chat that you will need to utilize every ounce of your free time on studying. You get that?”
Su Han, “……”
He had a feeling that this woman was just trying to change the subject.
Pinching his lips shut a little, he gave a casual “Oh” before he grabbed his own phone and clicked open his conversation with Lu Shao.
[Su Han]: What did you just say to Mom?
After a little while, Lu Shao responded back to him.
[Lu]: Is your homework done?
[Su Han]: What nonsense.
[Su Han]: I am asking you a question. Stop changing the subject!
[Lu]: Nothing.
[Lu]: Your mother and I were merely discussion how to decrease your dependency on the family and helping you mature faster.
Su Han: Bull!

“Ah, you and your family are heading out, Xiao Ran?”
Su Ran and the others had just stepped out of the stairway when they ran into Grandma Da Bao returning home with her grandson.
Seeing Su Ran and her family, Grandpa Da Bao, who had yet to be “enlightened” like Aunty Li had, greeted them passionately.
With the exception of the initial surprise, the immediately neighbors seemed to have gotten used to seeing Su Han’s father around every day.
Perhaps they would even inquire whether they had a fight should they not see him one day.
“Yes, we are heading over to the grocery store,” said Su Ran with a smile as she nodded at Grandma Dai Bo.
Most of their new furniture had been delivered to their new place and, once they finished purchasing the household items, they would be able to move in.
It was the weekend and with Su Han’s I-am-really-looking-forward-to-it-but-I-am-not-going-to-say-it-out-loud-and-just-wait-for-you-to-discover-it tsundere look, Su Ran decided to bring her son with and the entire family went out to shop for household goods.
