Title: My Son Might Be A Villain
Translator: Fringe Manatee

Chapter 55 - That way he could see with his own eyes that she has a real job now (2)

“Your shoes are more comfortable.” Su Ran lied righteously.

She was the mother and he was the son. Their status at home determined the definition of truth.

“……”

“I think my shoes are better as well.” Su Han mumbled after a long while. At least, they were better than those high heels that this woman had at home in the past.

Su Han did not like seeing Su Ran in those shoes or those clothes.

He knew where she went everytime she put those on.

“Yes, yes, yes. Yours are the best. Here, have an orange. It will help you grow.” Su Ran pulled out the oranges that she had gotten from Da Bao’s Grandma, shoved them into Su Han’s hand, and ended today’s conversation.

That’s when her cellphone rang.

She took a quick look at the caller ID and picked it up without any hesitation.

“Is this Ms. Su Ran?”

“This is she.”

“We are calling from Yu LeLe Studio…”

“Okay, I will see you in a bit then.”

“Son! Business is here!” said Su Ran to Su Han excitedly after she hung up on the phone.

Had Su Ran’s little assistant from before saw how excited she was getting just from selling a few songs, she’d for sure said: our highbrow master has been eroded by the nasty smell of earthly money!

Su Han had no idea what was exchanged over the call; all he heard was Su Ran setting up the time and place for a meeting with the other party.

Hearing the word “business”, the look on Su Han’s face changed again.

“Oh,” said Su Han coldly and nothing else.

What’s the matter, son? Why weren’t you happy after I’ve told you that we can leave the days of poverty behind us?

Su Ran was baffled until she saw the look of obvious disgust in Su Han’s eyes.

He was looking at her the same way he had looked at her at the banquet right after she had transmigrated over, with added disappointment this time.

Ah, how could she have forgotten? The image of the original owner in her son’s eyes had since taken root in the last ten plus years. Even now, she was still an unemployed bum in his eyes.

“Let’s go, let’s go. Come with me.”

“What?” Hearing that, Su Han had a look of disbelief. What was this woman thinking?

“Why do I have to go with you?” asked Su Han, his voice deep.

“It’s still early and it’s on the way, so I thought I can take you with me.” That way he could see with his own eyes that she has a real job now. That ought to stop him from all the random thoughts going forward.

Plus, Su Ran figured that she wouldn’t be spending too much time over at Yu LeLe’s studio. She has other plans for tonight.

“I…” Su Han bit his lower lip and looked troubled.

Where Su Ran was headed, he shouldn’t go, and neither should Su Ran.

The address that was provided to Su Ran was quite close to Su Han’s school. About 10 or so minutes walk away.

The entire time there, Su Han’s body was tense as he remained alert.

It was after he walked inside of an office building with Su Ran that he realized the truth might be a little bit different than what he had imagined.

Before Su Han could bring up his inquiries, someone had already exited the elevator and walked over to the two of them.

“Hi, are you Ms. Su Ran?”

“Yes, I am.”

“I am with Yu LeLe Studio and our office is on the 12th floor. Follow me.”

Su Ran followed that person to the 12th floor and walked inside of their office. Here she met with the person in charge and the other party was very enthusiastic after he saw Su Ran.

“Please have a seat, Master Su. I am the manager of Yu LeLe Studio and my name is Xu Xiao. I apologize for such a last-minute notice. I hope I didn’t interfere with any other plans of yours.”

“No,” said Su Ran with a smile.

“Great. Have a seat, you two.”
