Chapter 16.2 - About University 1 Part 2

The dormitory caretaker auntie: “?”

She called out, “Young man! Turn around, the girls’ dormitory is behind you!”

The students next to her giggled and stirred up a chorus of laughter at that.

The man in white sweater waved his hand and thanked her but he remained facing the south building.

This time, the onlookers found a different variety of drama to watch and grew more excited as the sound of their discussions became louder.

Suddenly, the man in white picked up his megaphone and shouted, “Fourth floor, student Yang Mo, I know you’re up there.”

The crowd: “Woah~”

Yang Mo, who was sitting in front of his computer, raised his head and turned to the window, “……”

Lu You Qi was eating an apple just then. His jaw dropped when he heard that as he looked at Yang Mo: “……”

The two of them were aware that a confession was happening thanks to the reminders from people around them, but they weren’t interested in spectating.

Who knew that they were actually involved this time?

Yang Mo glanced at Lu You Qi suspiciously, but he immediately shrugged his shoulders back. The man in white sweater sucked in another deep breath and in the group of enthusiastic mood makers’ cheers, he continued—

“The world is such a beautiful place, so why must you hack my accounts. The cybernetwork pledge is there to be complied, and money that goes against your conscience should not be earned. I have five accounts, return me one. Just one! Alright?!”

Yang Mo: “……”

The crowd: “……”

Lu You Qi: “Damn, that actually rhymed??”

“If you have any difficulties or reasons, just tell me. It’s wrong and unfair to take the blame for others. If the university pursued this, all of you would be in trouble. It’s not too late to repent, I’ll forgive you…The world is so beautiful after all, you see…”

Laughter erupted all around. The dormitory caretaker uncle realized this young man was here to cause a ruckus, so he shouted, “Get down from there now!”

Hearing that, the man in white sweater hurriedly repeated his words again at a faster speed. While he was getting dragged down by the caretaker, the curtains on the fourth floor of the Sea Stone Apartment south building which had been tightly closed all along, were suddenly pulled opened.

Lu You Qi forgot to chew on the apple in his mouth as he watched Yang Mo slowly paced to the balcony, fiercely pulled open the curtains and windows.

All gazes were drawn to him.

Yang Mo: “If you’re so fucking capable, get up here and fight me then?! What kind of man yells from all the way down there, you wimp1?!”

The man in white sweater: “……”

The dormitory caretakers: “……”

With a loud bang, the windows were closed.

Two whole buildings exploded in hysterical laughter right after that.

“I was just wondering,” The counsellor said as he sat down in his office next to the other teachers who were trying hard to stifle their laughter after learning about the incident.

The counsellor knocked on the table and said through gritted teeth, “The two of you, a freshman and a sophomore, one from east campus and another from west campus, a management school student and a unified school student; exactly how did the two of you end up in a fight??”

A female counsellor couldn’t hold it back anymore and let out a snort.

Yang Mo answered plainly, “He provoked me first.”

The man in white turned his head to look at him, “The thief cries thief, huh2?”

The counsellor reprimanded, “I’ll get to the bottom of what Yang Mo did later on. For now, let’s start with you first, Han Shi Yu.”

Yang Mo glanced at the idiot beside him, only now realizing he was called Han Shi Yu.

The counsellor poked the table a few times while saying, “You have really bad behaviour, do you know that? Tell me, what’s that round platform between the Sea Stone Apartment buildings really for? Huh?!”

Han Shi Yu didn’t think much of it, “Anyhow, it’s for one to shout at a building.”

“The dean tells the university every single day, that we can’t stand in the students’ way each time and to adapt from ‘hindering’ to ‘clearing the way’ instead. The university has given you plenty of room to do as you like, but aren’t you too spoiled from that?” The counsellor huffed, “Should we set up another special platform, for you to shout at the buildings and fight every month?”

Han Shi Yu held his breath and did not answer back.

The counsellor turned his head to the other side, “And you, Yang Mo. Why did you raise your hand immediately upon a disagreement? Are you a gangster?!”

Yang Mo: “He was shouting at me from down there, I can’t put it past myself not to do something about it.”

The counsellor: “Didn’t you shout and insult him back too?”

“Oh, sorry,” Yang Mo had on a sincere look and quickly added, “I forgot about that.”

The counsellor: “……”

He held back his anger and said, “What in the world did you do that Han Shi Yu had to shout at you from below like that?”

Yang Mo: “I don’t know. Ask him.”

Seeing him shift the blame so calmly, Han Shi Yu turned back to stare at him in disbelief.

Yang Mo glared back.

Han Shi Yu saw killing intent in his glare.

Han Shi Yu pointed at Yang Mo: “Teacher, he’s threatening me.”

“Haha—”

Yang Han felt incredibly pleased as she let out loud laughter not any less inferior to the crowd who watched the scene then. Seeing Yang Mo remaining calm, she suddenly felt even more amused.

Yang Mo frowned and said, “Swallow the apple in your mouth first, don’t choke on it.”

Yang Han coughed a few times and wiped the tears from laughing too hard, “Dad, was your counsellor not fuming at that point?”

“He was really mad,” Yang Mo said, “And gave a…really harsh punishment.”

Yang Han: “What is it?”

Yang Mo had a little difficulty in answering her.

“Didn’t you guys love to shout?” The counsellor, whose mood had calmed down, handed each of them a piece of A4 blank paper and told them to stand at each end of the office.

The counsellors watched the three of them closely.

The counsellor: “Both of you, write down 800 words of praise for each other on this paper. Then, shout them out, word for word.”

“No pulling any tricks or I will add a hundred words each time you do.” He added on, “Keep reading them out until you’ve reflected on what you did wrong.”

The counsellor: “Shout everything out in one go, alright.”

Yang Mo: “……”

Han Shi Yu: “……”
