Yang Mo thought it was strange. He wiped his head while replying, “What’s wrong?”

Han Shi Yu instantly replied, “Just take me in for a bit.”

A pitiful-looking emoji followed after that message.

Yang Mo glanced at the empty bed of his roommate who had requested for a break and said, “Alright.”

In less than ten minutes, Han Shi Yu came knocking on his door. He brought along two big bags of snacks bought from the supermarket.

Yang Mo was working on the questions given by Cheng Shao. When he saw him walk in, the big bags were already placed on the table.

Han Shi Yu: “This bag is spicy-flavoured. Ge, you’ll like it.”

Yang Mo nodded as Han Shi Yu found himself a spot to sit down.

The only noise left in the air was the sound of the keyboard clacking.

Han Shi Yu was afraid of disturbing him, so he didn’t say anything and quietly paced around the famous Seastone Apartment, sightseeing around the place.

When he walked to the shared cabinet where daily necessities were placed, he found many medicines in the small basket inside.

There were many bottles of anti-inflammatory antibiotics, as well as medicines specifically for laryngitis or throat-related issues. Han Shi Yu raised an eyebrow before calling out, “Ge.”

Yang Mo: “What?”

Han Shi Yu: “Are the medicines on the table yours?”

Yang Mo: “Mhmm.”

Han Shi Yu walked back to the table and took the bag of snacks away, replacing it with the other bag. Yang Mo’s fingers stopped typing away on the keyboard, looked up at him and asked, “Why?”

Han Shi Yu: “Your tonsils get inflamed often and yet you’re still eating spicy food. Illness finds its way by the mouth, you know?”

Yang Mo frowned. “It’s fine.”

“It’s not,” Han Shi Yu took out his phone, noting down something on his daily schedule. While typing, he said, “From now on, I’ll buy you takeouts for lunch and dinner, strictly controlling your eating habits for a bit.”

“……” Yang Mo had never seen someone so attentively pour out efforts and energy on him. He said with a dark face, “Why are you acting like my dad.”

Han Shi Yu: “It’s settled then.”

Yang Mo: “No way.”

Han Shi Yu bargained with him and Yang Mo looked like he had to hold it in before finally squeezing out a “fine”. Yang Mo only wanted to placate him on the surface, a method he usually used, but he would continue to do what he wanted behind his back.

Han Shi Yu rested his head sideways on the table, looking at Yang Mo and the words of a language he couldn’t understand, as if there was something on his mind.

Yang Mo squirmed uncomfortably in his seat from such a burning gaze and took a glass of water from the shelf, placing it in front of his eyes, just right to block his line of vision.

Han Shi Yu laughed a little, moving the glass away and asked, “Ge, are you hungry? I’ll order takeout.”

Han Shi Yu placed the order and ran downstairs to get the takeout. He set up chopsticks and the dipping sauces for Yang Mo, only waiting for him to finish up and come over to eat.

He completely prepared every single thing for him.

When Yang Mo finished his work, closed his laptop and walked over, Han Shi Yu was sitting on a small stool with his own bowl of rice waiting for him.

Seeing that Han Shi Yu piled most of the meat into Yang Mo’s bowl, he couldn’t help but patted Han Shi Yu’s head with his hand.

Most guys did not allow others to touch their heads. As if there was a switch installed there, if you touched it, the body would explode. But Han Shi Yu seemed to really like being patted by Yang Mo. There was no difference between him and the stray puppy near the apartment, except he had no tail to wag.

He sat down and only then did Han Shi Yu started eating. He was waiting for Yang Mo. “I’m starving to death.”

Yang Mo asked, “Did you get hunt down by your dormmates again?”

Han Shi Yu said: “No…”

Yang Mo asked again, “Then why are you homeless again?”

“Ugh,” Han Shi Yu took a sip of water before answering, “Something happened recently.”

He continued, “I didn’t mean to intentionally not contact you, senior. I really had something to do in the past two days.”

Yang Mo: “So you’re saying, you did it on purpose before?”

Han Shi Yu: “……”

He coughed a little before saying, “What happened in the past is not important.”

Yang Mo looked at him quietly.

Yang Mo separated the disposable wooden chopsticks and said, “What happened.”

Han Shi Yu: “It’s about Brother Min.”

Yang Mo was in a good mood when he thought about him, “The one who beat you up that day?”

Han Shi Yu: “Mhmm.”

Han Shi Yu chewed on his words a little before saying, “He…got into a fight with someone yesterday.”

Chopsticks continue to swim in a variety of dishes. Han Shi Yu continued, “A day ago, our school held a psychology seminar. Some people spoke a little too harshly, he confronted them…in the end they fought each other.”

Yang Mo did not think much about it. This kind of fight breaking out from verbal arguments were something he experienced a lot in the past.

He asked, “What is it about?”

Han Shi Yu was silent for a while, long enough for Yang Mo to think it was strange, stopping to stare at him.

Han Shi Yu seemed to have been watching his expression. He looked away and slowly spat out the phrase, “Homosexuality.”

There was some slight dismay in Yang Mao’s expression.

Han Shi Yu pretended to continue eating his food, but it was too obvious how he was trying to hide how restless he seemed. “Brother Min likes Brother Lin. They got together today.”

Yang Mo searched his brain to find a name that matched ‘Brother Lin’, then linked it to the description of the other two people in the dorm that day. He said, “Lin Chu?”

Han Shi Yu: “Yes.”

As if a shroud of silence had encircled Yang Mo, the air inside that space became frozen too.

Han Shi Yu rubbed his fingers for a moment before asking, “Senior?”

Yang Mo: “Mhmm?”

Han Shi Yu placed a piece of meat in his bowl as if nothing had happened, like a child waiting for his exam results as he asked, “Senior, Brother Lin is your friend, right?” He laughed, “This is too much of a coincidence.”

Seeing that Yang Mo did not react or reply, Han Shi Yu’s heart started beating faster. He asked again to test the waters, “Ge, you can accept it, right?”

There was not a single intention of smiling on Yang Mo’s face as he replied, “Probably…not.”
