Chapter 5.2 - About Fanfiction 2 Part 2

At night, Yang Mo put his laptop aside and looked over at Han Shi Yu.

He had been in a frozen state for a long time, eyes glued to his phone like a grandpa on the subway.

Seeing that, Yang Mo lightly patted the back of his head.

Han Shi Yu slightly tilted his head forward but his expression remained unchanged.

Yang Mo asked curiously, “What are you doing?”

Han Shi Yu finally looked up at him, “Do you have the Qu Di app installed on your phone?”

Yang Mo: “I do.”

Han Shi Yu said, “Then, go to Qu Di’s literature column and looked for an article called ‘As if a fish bone was stuck in one’s throat’.”

Yang Mo was baffled, “?”

Han Shi Yu: “Your daughter has been reading that recently.”

Yang Mo unlocked his phone and skilfully searched for the article’s name. Many articles with the same name came up.

Yang Mo asked, “Which one?”

Han Shi Yu’s fingers slid through the article tags, staring at the little labels under it, “Search the tags, ‘Younger Gong’, ‘Ji Yue CP’, ‘Mutual love’ and…’Enemies to lovers’.”

Yang Mo asked while typing with a puzzled look, “What does that mean?”

Han Shi Yu shook his head, “I don’t know.”

Some time had passed.

The two of them leaned back against the bed frame with the same expression plastered on their faces.

Grandpas looking down at their phone in the subway. Han Shi Yu managed to search for the meaning of those tags while he read on too. He exclaimed, “My god.”

“Is this about you and Zhou Yi?” Yang Mo was very perplexed. “What kind of article is this? Why is Yang Han reading it?”

Han Shi Yu had reached chapter five already. While he scrolled further into the article, he said, “This type of article is called fanfictions. Most of the articles in Qu Di’s literature column are filled with this kind…You can go search them up.”

Yang Mo turned to him and said, “Have you pursued Zhou Yi before?”

Han Shi Yu’s hand shook a little as he hurried to explain, “No…These are what the author imagined, it has nothing to do with me.”

Yang Mo pointed at the article, “The timeline and incidents are all very realistic. Like that time when you attended the huge internet conference; the reason you and Zhou Yi entered the venue back-to-back was connected to all the past incidents in this article. If I…”

Han Shi Yu said in shock, “How man chapters have you read already?”

“If I didn’t know you,” Yang Mo continued, “I would really think that you’re pursuing after Zhou Yi.”

Han Shi Yu set his phone down immediately, lifting the blanket and kneeling on the pillow. He clasped his hands together and said, “Mo, I really didn’t do it. The lightning will strike me if I have anything to do with him, okay?”

Yang Mo frowned at him, “What are you doing? I’m only stating my opinion, not blaming you.”

Han Shi Yu let out a sigh of relief, “I thought you were jealous. That scared me to death.

Yang Mo: “……”

Han Shi Yu returned to his original form and dove back into the blanket, “But it really is quite well written. The author put a lot of effort into it…Let me share it to Old Zhou later on.”

Right after he said that, he received a notification from his personal WeChat account.

Speaking of the devil, it was Zhou Yi.

Zhou Yi sent him a link along with 6 question marks.

Han Shi Yu first opened the link and was surprised to find that the content in it was exactly the same article he was reading.

Except, this was a Weibo post.

And there was an eye-catching blue topic at the beginning.

# Han Shi Yu reposted a fanfiction #

Han Shi Yu: “???”

He hurriedly clicked into the post, realizing it was posted half an hour ago when he was reading the tags to Yang Mo.

Now, the viralness of the post had soared to no ends.

There were two other hot topics that followed closely behind.

# Han Shi Yu Zhou Yi #

# As if a fish bone was stuck in one’s throat # [Tears]1

The question marks from Zhou Yi was not any lesser than his own. “What are you doing???”

Sure enough, there was a call on his work phone not long after. His secretary rushed in with a crying voice, “President Han, what are you doing? I’m getting bombarded with calls at this hour in the night…”

Yang Mo stared at him, as though he could hear the whines from the other end of the call and said, “What’s wrong?”

Han Shi Yu was still dumbfounded, “I don’t know. I think something fantasy-like just happened.”

After Yang Mo had been informed, he went to check out the hot trends. He saw the screenshot of Han Shi Yu’s post where he reposted the fanfiction.

Yang Mo said, “Did you long press on the title just now?”

Han Shi Yu: “Ah?”

On Qu Di’s literature column, long-pressing an article title will trigger all three actions of reposting, liking and bookmarking it.” Yang Mo calmly said, “A prompt will flash up, but you were probably too caught up in talking to me that you missed it.”

Han Shi Yu: “……”

He only knew the video column had a function like this, when did the literature column have it too!

Seated in one of the top seats in the trending list, Ji Xun’s president clicked into his own Qu Di page as he mumbled, “Fuck, who’s the smart guy making plans on this?2”

Yang Mo continued to read the article with his head lowered and said faintly, “Me.”

Han Shi Yu: “……”

Yang Han, who was beaten blue and black with cuts all over by the angst, blew her nose while she hid under the covers. All of a sudden, she was poked three times by Xu Jia.

“Yang Yang! Something big happened!”

“Ahhhhhhhhhhhh.”

Yang Han threw the tissue paper into the paper basket and hurriedly sent a message, thinking something bad really happened. “What’s wrong?”

Xu Jia: “The…The person3 himself gave us fanservice4!”

Yang Han: “?”

Xu Jia: “Look at the number 4 trending topic, Han Shi Yu reposted, liked and bookmarked ‘As if a fish bone was stuck in one’s throat’!!!”

Yang Han let go of the hold on her phone and it fell right into the paper basket filled with the tissue paper balls she blew her nose with.

Yang Han’s brain went blank. “……”
