She dismounted from the mount and ran towards Rio who was standing a dozen meters away from her.
Hearing the approaching rushed footsteps, he turned around to look at the girl who threw herself at him, hugging Rio tightly.
"Yeee... We are number one now..." The girl was joyous seeing themselves at the top of the ranking
Rio caressed her back in his warm embrace, letting her celebrate her happiness for a while.
He didn't think that killing the special beast would be so easy but it was only possible because he was able to charge the attack beforehand using the [Overload Destroyer]. If he was engaged in an intense battle with the giant white worm then it would've been hard to execute his battle technique art so smoothly.
The boy whispered, "Let's hurry to the special beast of the southern direction, so we can have one more clue before sunrise that's available to all teams."
"You mean?" Nyla inclined her head to look into his eyes with surprise, asking as if he meant what she was guessing.
"Yeah. If we can take down the southern side's special beast, we'll have the key to unlocking the locations of not just two, but four other special beasts. It's a race against time, and we can't let this opportunity pass.
The other teams will try to claim the other direction special beast tomorrow after sunrise. We need to be the first ones to claim the southern one, this will give us a huge lead." The boy explained his plan, confirming her doubts.
Without wasting much time, they both mounted up the Frosty and started going in the southern direction, closely following the coast side.
With every passing minute, another team could snatch the opportunity from right under their noses but that was most likely to happen after Sunrise since the battle points had stopped increasing as the darkness drowned the island.
