Chapter 2: The Crime Takes Place

An Jinzhong turned to face Jiang. He openly questioned, “How did you know there was a murder, are you the murderer?”

In reality, it is not difficult to anticipate that the small policeman’s look as he entered. The perspiration on his brow, his hold on the doorknob, his slightly shaking shoulders, and the tone of his voice when he spoke prompted Jiang He to consider murder.

Jiang He was undeterred by An Jinzhong’s suspicious glance and promptly inquired, “Where did the murder occur? Was the victim male or female? Was it a suicide or a homicide? Is the murderer known? If there is a killer, how was the victim killed? What is the murderer’s tool?”

A succession of fast and intense inquiries perplexed the small cop, and he almost mistook the guy in front of him for his boss.

An Jinzhong observed in Jiang He’s eyes incredible eagerness, which caused An Jinzhong to stutter. Along the way, An Jinzhong noticed Jiang He with an expressionless and frigid expression on his face, and his eyes were frosty like a robot, but when he learned of a murder case, the thrill in his eyes could not be hidden.

“No, what are you doing?” “How is the situation now?” An Jinzhong eventually inquired.

The Little policeman looked at Jiang He, scratched his head, and responded, “The issue is still unclear; the person reporting the case is a boy returning from school. This junior high student resides in Dongchang Community, 602, Unit 3, District A. When he returned home from school, he discovered crimson liquid seeping out from under the security door of 601 resident, followed by a bloody odour.”

The two went out while conversing. Going, the small cop said: “The property was then informed. The property security busted through the door after banging repeatedly. When they discovered a body at the entryway, they quickly informed the police. No one else has yet arrived on the scene. Yuzhou District Public Security Bureau Criminal Police Squadron is ready to go; let us go over to protect the scene.”

Although Jiang He is not a police officer, he is quite familiar with this method.

The police station belongs to the Public Security Bureau. Unless it is a larger police station, most police stations do not have a criminal police unit. When confronted with a murder case, the police at the nearest station will proceed to safeguard the scene and satisfy the people first.

Each district’s Public Security Bureau will dispatch a team of criminal police to investigate. If there is an issue, the Municipal Public Security Bureau will dispatch a squad of criminal police to investigate. If the case shocks the entire province, the Provincial Public Security Department will dispatch a team of criminal police. Come. If the crime is more serious and shocks the entire country, the Ministry of Public Security will dispatch a criminal police corps or simply form a special investigative team comprised of the country’s top criminal police to solve the issue.

Jang He is well aware of this because he took the police recruiting exams for five years in a row before turning 28. Jang He was perplexed since he had taken the yearly local police recruiting examination for five years in a row. He couldn’t even pass the written exam.

Jiang, too He had no notion what was wrong.

Until Jiang He was twenty-eight years old, and owing to age limits, he could no longer take the police exam.

“Let’s go, you’re not going to die, come with me.” An Jinzhong yelled as he stepped into a police cruiser.

An Jinzhong started the automobile, but then someone climbed in. Jiang He was the man in question.

A police officer next to him scowled, his tone irritated: “What are you doing, get down!”

Jiang He didn’t intend to get out of the automobile.

“If something hadn’t occurred, believe it or not, you’d be in jail, get out, you’re mentally sick,” the cop replied.

Jiang He was forced out of the police station gate by two officers, but he showed no sign of embarrassment. He scratched his unkempt hair with his hands as he watched the cop cars go by.

An Jinzhong remained silent during Jiang He’s expulsion. His heart is full with paradoxes right now. Naturally, it is hard to bring a person who does not know where to go out of the police station, let alone one who is sloppy and a mental patient who fights with a pig.

On the other hand, given Jiang He’s capacity to evaluate so much information simply by glancing at a person’s looks, none of the investigators in the Yuzhou District Bureau could. This made An Jinzhong admire and mistrust Jiang He, while also making An Jinzhong more intrigued about Jiang He.

But his interest in Jiang He was swiftly replaced by fear and a hazy exhilaration over the crime. Although his performance was not as visible as Jiang He’s, as a police officer, there was always something indescribable when confronted with a murder. Feel. Which cop hasn’t imagined peeling off the cocoon, learning the details of the case, and apprehending the criminal?

No one talked in the automobile, just the sharp sound of the siren could be heard.

Dongchang Community is an old-fashioned community in Longcheng City’s Yuzhou District. It was two o’clock in the afternoon, and it looked like an oven outside. If someone had dropped an egg on the ground at this precise time, it would have turned into a fried egg when he picked it up. The inhabitants were intrigued despite the sweltering weather. There were even visitors from other communities. They all gathered outside the third unit and stared up as if they were a gathering of believers having some sort of ceremony.

When the police car arrived, the crowd consciously gave way the path.

An Jinzhong proceeded all the way, and he was hailed by many community security personnel.

“My name is An Jinzhong; how do you refer to them?” An Jinzhong inquired, his gaze drawn to the ecstatic gathering surrounding him.

“My name is Lao Gao.” The security commander was a dark-skinned man who doesn’t mince words: “Our security officers are monitoring from above, you hurry up, the two donkeys are afraid and nearly peed their trousers.” It’s all over…”

An Jinzhong ran up the stairs from the police station in three steps and two steps, as the old-fashioned six-story building had no elevator.

There is currently just one security guard on the sixth floor, who appears to be the second donkey mentioned by Lao Gao.

………

A taxi driver yanked Jiang He out of the cab because he intended to pay with a dead pig.

Jiang was within 100 metres from the police station. He only tried to push his way into a cab, but he was stopped by the taxi driver. Jiang He didn’t have a penny on him. The only thing he was worth was this 140-pound pork.

A pound of pork costs around 25 RMB at the current market price. And even if the internal parts are discarded, this pig hauled by Jiang He will cost 2,500 RMB in terms of 100 catties. The trip to Dongchang Community will cost around 100 RMB. Selling it for less than the market price of 5 RMB results in a profit of at least 1,500 RMB.

As a result; Jiang He couldn’t figure it out, this was obviously a profitable business so why were the cab drivers refusing him one after the other?

Jiang then saw A white vehicle approached him. The rear of the vehicle was singing and playing music. It appeared to joyful and cheery melody. The dead pig obstructed the vehicle’s path, and the truck driver came to a halt: “Hey, let it be, let it be.”

Jiang “Drag me to Dongchang Community, this pig is for you,” he remarked to the driver.

“Forget it, it’s all fate, I’m a butcher, I can see that this pig has simply gone away for a bit, come here, brother,” a 40-year-old guy in the co-pilot replied without using the term “go away.”

“Carry them up together in one piece, and let’s stow them away at the destination.”

Jiang He entered the trunk.

“When are we going to arrive?”

…..

An Jinzhong checked his watch; it had been twenty minutes since he had safeguarded the scene, and the police squadron had not yet come.

An Jinzhong gained a basic idea of the resident’s position while waiting for the criminal police to come.

The leader of the household was Li Weiyi, a guy who turns 30 this year, and his wife, He Huijuan, who turns 26 this year. Li Weiyi and He Huijuan have been married for five years but have failed to conceive a kid.

After Li Weiyi’s father died three years ago, Li Weiyi took over his mother from his hometown to live here. During the past three years, Li Weiyi and his wife lived together with Li Weiyi’s mother, Wu Guifeng.

An Jinzhong had already phoned Li Weiyi, but he did not tell Li Weiyi what had happened. And the reason An Jinzhong didn’t tell Li Weiyi what had happened is because even a tough person with strong bones might not be able to handle the news.

In the home, there were two bodies.

Standing outside the door, you can see a corpse leaning against the shoe cabinet at the entrance, with its back facing the wooden door. Because older buildings lack security doors, there are no raised thresholds. And it was this corpse’s blood that poured out down the door’s gap, producing a pool of tiny bloodstains outside.

The other corpse was in the bedroom, namely on the bedroom bed.

The corpse’s abdomen was bloody and gory, and the entire bed was covered in blood, which stained the white bed sheet and quilt with the bloodiest hue in the world. A quilt covered the lower abdomen of the deceased, while the second quilt was dragged down beneath the bed.

She was resting on the bed with her eyes closed, much like Sleeping Beauty.

Both of the bodies were female. The corpse at the door was perhaps fifty or sixty years old, whereas the one on the bed was approximately twenty or thirty years old.

The identities of the dead, Wu Guifeng and He Huijuan, were discovered via a property comparison.

No man could suffer the loss of the two most significant ladies in my life at the same time.

This is why An Jinzhong did not inform Li Weiyi of the true circumstances.

An Jinzhong has limited options, which is a little inconvenience.
