Chapter 137

Everything around him was empty.

Around him was only complete emptiness. There were no white colors, no black colors. There was no such thing as opening the eyes or closing the eyes. He couldn’t feel a thing and yet at the same time felt as though he could feel everything.

Chu MuYun existed in this kind of environment. Just a state of waiting with extreme calmness.

But if could see himself and his own demeanor, he might discover that under his veneer of calmness there was a hidden thread of anxiety – but it was hidden extremely deep, as though he had successfully fooled himself.

In this kind of empty nothingness, other than Chu MuYun’s own thoughts, everything else was still.

It was an unspeakable kind of feeling. As though the entire world was asleep and he alone couldn’t even close his eyes.

He couldn’t feel Zero’s existence, he couldn’t feel the existence of anything.

Chu MuYun could still clearly remember what had just happened.

He specifically calculated the moment when Ling Xuan would appear before using the sacrificial array, sacrificing his life in exchange for Ling SuYun’s.

Ling Xuan who had witnessed this definitely wouldn’t kill Ling SuYun. Instead he would guard him, until the end of time, waiting for the return of that person. It was a unknown return that he could only feel instinctively.

When Ling SuYun died, Chu MuYun could still feel Zero’s existence. This guy’s thoughts were too obvious: Why didn’t you tell Ling Xuan the truth? Why didn’t you tell Ling Xuan the truth about the substitution array earlier?

Chu MuYun hadn’t even had a chance to explain to Zero yet.

He couldn’t say it, because the Ling Xuan who he had met alongside Gluttony clearly didn’t know about the existence of the substitution array. So he didn’t want to add additional variable factors one thousand years earlier.

The future of course could be changed, but the future that Chu MuYun was facing now definitely shouldn’t be changed.

Because he had returned from the ‘future’ to wake up Ling Xuan. If this ‘future’ was changed, then would the ‘future him’ still return correctly to his time frame?

If he couldn’t return, then would Ling Xuan still be woken up? Would the substitution array still be set up correctly? The entire Demon World’s setting might get completely messed up.

Chu MuYun has always been someone who was careful, so of course he wouldn’t let a loss of control event like this happen.

So after returning to one thousand years ago, he didn’t change a thing. He had just gone with the flow, in order to restore that ‘future’ that he already knew about.

But now that he was thinking about this, Chu MuYun truly realized that right now he was indeed feeling uneasy.

He was so uneasy that he needed to constantly go over his thoughts in his mind to distract himself.

Because right now he was aware that his current status was not normal.

Even when he had turned to a pile of bones and lost all his five senses, however, based on his cultivation he still had his ‘godly senses’ and could perceive his situation.

But right now he couldn’t perceive a thing. Not to mention he couldn’t even feel Zero’s presence….

This wasn’t something caused by turning into bones. It also wasn’t something caused by the sacrificial array. This was….

The sky remained a dull grey, the fog bore down heavily with an incredible feeling of pressure, as though it wanted to suffocate the people who were sleeping and never allow them to wake again.

The six people who woke up at the same time also had the same dream.

This dream vanished at the moment of their waking, they could only vaguely remember seeing a person.

They couldn’t clearly see his appearance and couldn’t hear his voice. There wasn’t any real evidence of his existence.

But they knew he existed.

Even if there was only nothingness, even if nothing was left, they still knew he was there.

He was beside them. Around them. In a place where they couldn’t see….

But this knowledge didn’t give them the satisfaction it should have. Instead it incited an abnormal surge of fury, of unwillingness, grief and despair!

Because of these complicated feelings, when these six people awoke they sat blankly for the entire night without sleeping.

This wasn’t the first time they’d had a dream like that. The situation was always the same. The moment they woke up the dream would be very clear, so clear that it seemed like they couldn’t forget for their entire life. But very quickly, as the sun rose, these ‘unforgettable memories’ would be like dewdrops that had encountered a blazing son, turning into steam and vanishing without a trace.

Chu MuYun forcibly opened his eyes and saw an extremely beautiful face.

Black hair, white skin, sword brows. A thin lips with a smile that wasn’t a smile. He was staring at Chu MuYun and his black eyes were gleaming with a malicious light.

Chu MuYun let out a sigh of relief: Ye JianHan, long time no see.

One death, one life. Chu MuYun had passed through one thousand years but here it had been less than a quarter of an hour.

Just like the previous times he had revived after being killed, Chu MuYun again ‘revived from death’.

Chu MuYun looked around and discovered he was no longer at the LingYun Sect’s grounds. Ling Xuan was also nowhere to be seen.

It seemed that after he had lost consciousness, Ye JianHan (Gluttony) had taken him and left.

Ling SuYun must have been dead for a little while. He needed to hurry up to activate the Spirit Guide Grass and activate the puppet technique, so that the corresponding body could continue to perform its duties.

The only problem was…

Ye JianHan was sitting next to him. Seeing that he had woken, he poked him in a malicious way and said, “Did you have a nightmare?”

Chu MuYun frowned.

Ye JianHan’s finger was very warm. It slid over his cheek and slowly went upwards, finally touching the corner of his eye.

That place was a mass of wetness. It was clear that he had cried before.

Ye JianHan’s finger tenderly swept passed. After touching the wet tears, he lifted his finger and placed it on his own lips.

Chu MuYun stared at him expressionlessly.

Ye JianHan tasted it and said gently, “It’s bitter. Looks like your nightmare was very sad.”

Chu MuYun’s gaze wavered slightly.

Was it a dream? That place of complete emptiness. The feeling of completely losing himself. Was it a dream?

But… he wasn’t sad.

Chu MuYun slightly shook his head. He said, “I don’t remember.”

Ye JianHan were like a torch, as though he wanted to see through Chu MuYun completely.

Chu MuYun’s manner was very natural. There was only a trace of confusion flashing through his eyes and then his brows knit in a frown.

Ye JianHan’s voice was a bit erratic, “Do you remember who you are?”

Chu MuYun thought for a little while then looked as though he couldn’t figure it out. So he shook his head.

Ye JianHan suddenly moved closer to him.

The distance between the two people was very close. So close that if they moved just a little more, then their lips would touch.

Chu MuYun didn’t move.

Ye JianHan also just looked at him like this.

Just as Chu MuYun was about to say something, Ye JianHan suddenly kissed him.

The distance completely vanished. Chu MuYun couldn’t help being shocked but his mentality was very strong. He didn’t show anything on his face, and only a little trace of doubt flashed through his eyes.

-This was the confusion and doubt of a person who did understand anything about the situation they were in.

Ye JianHan suddenly invaded into his mouth and gave him a dizzying kiss akin to a violent storm.

It was full of enthusiasm and eagerness, a domineering declaration of ownership that also exposed a deep love.

That’s right… it was love. A very deep and heavy love that, once uncovered, was filled with a shocking intensity.

But how was that possible?

After the kiss, Chu MuYun stared at him blankly.

Ye JianHan got up slowly and looked down at him. Although the position was a bit condescending, his dark eyes were filled with tender affection. “Remember, I am your lover.”

Chu MuYun blinked.

Ye JianHan touched his forehead slightly and said slowly, “I love you.”

Zero: “Σ(°△°|||), what the hell!!”
