"This... this is a devil fruit," Rindou says with a shocked expression on her face, as this is the second time she has seen a devil fruit, the first being the fruit she had eaten.
"Why are you giving it to me?" Rindou asked in a confused tone, as it would be much better for him to eat it.
"And what would I do with it? Eat it myself and lose my ability to swim," Kate says with a chuckle, "Or do you want me to sell it."
"But, it is not much of a use for me as I have already eaten one, and I can't eat another," Rindou says, "So, it would be much better if you ate it and gained some power to protect yourself."
"True, but I brought it here for a reason," Kate says. "If you were taken against your will then, I would have used it to bargain with them for your freedom."
"And use my contract to force them to do it, right?" Rindou asked with a cat-like smile on her face.
"Indeed, that was the plan, but now it isn't needed," Kate says, "So, I will give this fruit to you, give it to your captain or any crew mates that haven't eaten one, or do whatever you want to do with it as for me your safety is much more important than this silly fruit."
"Old man," Rindou says in an emotional tone, "don't say such cheeses things, and you know I can take care of myself."
"Yes, I know that most people will not be your match, but as a father, I can't help but be worried about you," Kate replied with a soft smile on his face.
"So, just accept it as my last gift before you go to the sea to chase your dream," Kate says as he pushes the devil fruit toward Rindou.
Rindou seeing this remembered something before she quickly pulled out her crew card and called Leo.
"Old man, wait a minute, let me ask something from the captain," Rindou says with a delighted look on her face.
As the call connects, a young male voice comes for the card, "Rindou, what is it?"
"Ah, captain Leo, I just want to ask if I can recruit someone as a subordinate crew captain," Rindou asked in a hopeful tone.
"No, you cannot because all the subordinate crew captain cards can only be created by me, so you have to bring them to me, and I will see if they are worthy of joining the crew," Leo replied in a calm voice.
"But if you want to recruit someone, you can do so with a subordinate crew member card, since you have the authority to create them," says Leo. "Anything else, or I should end the call."
"Yes, I have a devil fruit with me," Rindou replied in a pleased tone, as she could give her father the crew card so she could use it to talk with him from any place in the world, and most notably, she could also monitor his health with it.
"Oh, that's surprising as I didn't think you would be lucky enough to find a devil fruit on this island," Leo replied in a surprised tone.
"So, what is the name of that devil fruit?" Leo asked in a curious tone.
"I don't know, but I will bring it to you, and you can see it yourself," Rindou says as she picks the devil fruit up.
No problem, you can bring it here since we can always sell it for a profit even if it isn't a strong one," Leo says excitedly. "Is there anything else, or should we talk more about it after you get back, okay?"
"Okay, I will talk later," Rindou says as she ends the call.
After listening to all these talks, Kate asked in a confused tone, "Why do you want me to join this crew?"
Rindou smiles with a cheerful look on her face as she says, "The reason is simply that you're an old man, so I can talk to you whenever I want to while also keeping an eye on your health."
"You can say whatever you want, but I will not leave this island with you and travel in the sea, especially at this age, and if I leave with you, then who will be responsible to take care of my business?" Kate firmly rejects her idea.
"And I am not asking you to leave this island, you just take it," Rindou says as she selects the Create Crew card option on her card.
As she completed the process, which is a simple process, a brand-new crew card of black colors appeared in her hand.
Kate asked as he received the card from her, "Isn't it just a card like yours? What does it do?".
Rindou then started to explain its details and functions of it.
"Wow, that is a very helpful tool for anyone," Kate says with a stupefaction look on his face after listening to her explanation.
After recovering from his shock, Kate asks in a confused tone, "So, why aren't you using your Observe on the fruit?"
Because if what she had said is true, then it can easily be used to identify what devil fruit is this,
"No, let's take it to the captain and crew, then we all together can see the name of this devil fruit," Rindou says before turning her gaze back to him. "So, why don't you also come with me to the ship to meet the whole crew, old man?"
"Well, if you insist, then I would also like to see them," Kate says with a gentle smile on his face.
'And most importantly, I would also like to see that golden hair boy that you were flirting with,' Kate angrily thought. He remembered the report he got from his subordinate that her favorite daughter was flirting with a golden-haired boy.
"Alright then, let's go," Rindou says as she puts all her things back inside with the devil fruit as she walks toward the exit with Kate following behind.

"How much longer is that going to take?" she asks with an impatient expression on her face.
"It is only 15 minutes, Nami no need to be so restless," Carina says before she looks toward the shop door as it opens, "Looks like they are finally done talking."
"Finally," Nami says as she also looks toward Rindou and her father approaching them.
While she is usually not so restless, but knowing that she could get her island free from Arlong's rule made her restless.
"Hey girls, we got all the things we needed, so let's go back to the ship," Rindou says as she walks toward them.
"Okay, but is your dad coming with us?" Carina asked while looking at the old man walking behind her.
"Yeah, he wants to meet the crew which I will join," Rindou says as they all start walking toward the ship.

After they reach the port and Kate sees the black pearl for the first time, he is impressed by the ship's design and the craftsmanship used to create it.
"It is a magnificent ship, right?" Rindou asked with a smile on his face as she was proud of the ship she would sail in.
Kate just nodded his head at her words as they all entered the ship.
But, a young voice called out as they reached the deck, "Who is this guy?"
