"So, a fruit that lets you make many clones of items, it sounds dope," Leo says as he reads the description.
"With this, we can have infinite alcohol to drink," Zoro says as he and Levi examine the fruit.
"No, your level of thinking is too low as with this, we could have an infinite amount of berries," Nami said as her eyes turned into berries signs while thinking about them.
"Alright, knock it off both of you," Rindou says. "We still have to decide who will eat the fruit."
"Yes, now who wants to eat it?" Leo asked them with a smile on his face.
"I don't want to," Zoro replied immediately, as he had no interest in becoming a fruit user.
"Magi gi," Levi also refused, as he did not want to lose the ability to swim in the sea.
"And both of us are already devil fruit users, so we can't eat another one," Rindou says as she points at Leo and himself.
"I could have said that myself, but thanks for explaining," Leo says. "So, that leaves you two girls."
"So, which one of you wants to have the power to duplicate things?" Leo asked while looking at Nami and Carina.
"I want it," Nami and Carina said simultaneously before staring at each other.
"You will let me have it right, Carina," Nami asked with a sweet smile on her face.
"No, you should let me have it as you are the navigator of our crew, so you should not have such a weakness as seawater, right Nami," Carina replied while having her own smile.
After that, they started to argue with each other over how will eat this devil fruit.
"You think we should intervene between them?" Rindou asked Leo and Zoro.
"You do it," Zoro replies, leaving it to her.
He said, "Same, you can handle it," since he was not expecting something like this to happen.
Rindou just sighed at their nonchalant behavior before moving toward Nami and Carina.
"Alright, both of you, stop arguing with each other," Rindou says while getting between them.
After seeing Rindou standing in between them, both Nami and Carina remember that now they are part of a big crew, and they cannot behave like they used to.
Seeing that they had stopped arguing with each other, Rindou brought out a coin and said, "Let's decide this with a simple coin toss, and the rules are simple, if it is head, then Nami would win, and if it is tail then Carina would win, okay?"
"Okay, then let's follow Rindou's suggestion," Carina replied with a deep look on her face.
Nami also agreed, saying, "I agree."
"So, here we go," Rindou said as she tossed the coin in the air.
'Please be head, please be head, please be head...'
'Please be tail, please be tail, please be tail...'
Every crew member was looking at the coin intensely as soon as it hit the deck.
"Congratulations to you, Nami, you will... still have the ability to swim," Rindou said while she looked at the coin on the deck.
"Yea... eh, what do you mean that?" Nami asked in a confessed tone.
"Because it is Tail, congratulations to Carina for gaining the devil fruit," Rindou excitedly said before giving the devil fruit to Carina.
"YES!" Carina shouted in happiness as she gently received the devil fruit.
After calming down, Carina took a good look at the fruit before turning her face toward Leo and Rindou to ask a quick question.
"I just have to take a bite or I have to eat the whole fruit," Carina asked Leo and Rindou, the only two crew members who have eaten the devil fruit.
"You have to eat all of it, or you will not gain any power from it, right Rindou," Leo replied with a straight face while trying to suppress the evil grin that was forming on his face.
"You are totally right, as she had to eat the entire fruit to get all its powers," Rindou said while smiling in support as she was also looking forward to her reaction to its taste.
"If you say so," Carina said with a determined look on her face before she took a bite from the fruit.
*Crunch*
"Ugh!" the determined look on her face quickly changed into a disgusted one as the horrible taste of the fruit struck her.
In response, she quickly steeled her resolve to obtain some extraordinary powers and eat the whole fruit at once.
As Carina drank some water from the bottle to wash away the fruit's foul taste, she remarked, "Blech!... how could someone eat something so disgusting?"
"Well, now that's one more reason to not eat a devil fruit," Kate said to himself as he watched Carina trying to get rid of its horrible aftertaste.
"Me too," Zoro said as he watched her eating something to make the taste disappear,
"Magi gi," he also nodded his head.
"There there, I know it tastes overly horrible, but you have to beer with it if you want its power," Rindou said as she tried to comfort her.
Carina just nodded her head before she tried to use her power on the half-filled water bottle she was holding.
At that moment, the half-filled water bottle gets covered in a white aura, and a similar half-filled water bottle appears in front of her.
Leo seeing this, picked up the newly duplicated water bottle and looked at the bottle from all angles. After not finding any difference in shape and density, he took a sip of water from the bottle.
"Hmm, it tastes and smells absolutely similar to the water in that bottle, so your power must completely copy all the properties of that item," Leo said before passing the bottle back to Carina.
Carina, who is still excited about getting started to use it on other things such as... money.
"And now all of this is over, so why don't we both go inside as I would like to have a talk with Mr. Kate," Leo said before gazing at Kate.
"Indeed, we have something we should talk about, but I hope in private," Kate says while subtly looking at Rindou.
"Okay, then please follow me," Leo replied before walking towards his office.
As they both disappeared inside the ship.
"So, what do you think your father wants to talk to him?" Zoro asked Rindou, hoping she would have some idea of what was going on with both of them.
Rindou said, "I don't understand why he has never behaved like this before," though she knew they would not harm each other because of the agreement they made. Leo cannot hurt him before her old man attacks him, and Rindou knows her old man well enough not to hurt anyone because he hates fighting.
The second goal is complete on Patron. So, now 4 chapters are the lowest, and 12 chapters are the highest.
