Chapter 42: Chapter 41: Strength of a lone wolf!
“Wolf...” the male student said in disbelief as he slowly backed away, looking for an opportunity to run but it didn’t flee. Its eyes were darting around as it searched the area as if it was looking for more wolves hiding in the forest.
“Lone wolf” Damon understood why the fox spirit was acting that way and quickly declared his pathway.
Hearing this three emotions appeared across the face of the fox spirit. The first was fear, it was totally terrified of Damon but then came confusion. It gazed at Damon skeptically, as if it was looking for something, and the third was greed.
“You are the new lone wolf that appeared just a few days ago? That explains why you have the markings yet! Who would have thought I would come across a lone wolf and a new one at that!” The fox spirit licked its lips, revealing a long tongue.
Seeing a male student having such a long and strange-looking tongue could be considered disgusting but the stench coming out of the enemy alone was far worse. It was sad to know humans find this stench pleasant and attractive!

“What do you mean? Are lone wolves really rare?” Damon asked earnestly which strangely made the fox spirit even more excited. This way it confirmed Damon was a newbie but Damon didn’t care. He simply picked up the unconscious, naked girl and placed her somewhere a bit farther, behind a tree and the fox spirit didn’t try to stop him.
“Of course, Lone wolves are the strongest, yet rarest wolves in the world. I am sure you are the only one in the entire kingdom right now. Your souls are special and powerful. If I can eat your soul, I am sure I will get stronger! Much stronger! I will definitely evolve to a two-tailed fox, no, a three-tailed fox at the very least!” The fox spirit sounded excited.

Damon already knew his intentions so he wasn’t moved when the fox spirit said this. Instead, he looked at the fox spirit as if he was looking at an idiot.
“Do you really think you can kill me?” Damon finally focused on the enemy as he said those words!
Boom!
A fierce aura exploded from his body with the black and purple light, taking the shape of a massive wolf!
Intimidate!
Yelp!
The fox spirit was terrified but for a brief moment but that was more than enough time!
Damon was already standing in front of him with his hand shooting forward in a striking motion! It hit the chest of the male student and purple light surged from his body and into that of the student!
Bang!
A small gray-colored fox was expelled from the body of the male student. Damon didn’t bother about the falling body of the unconscious male student and pounced at the gray fox!
Fox spirits are powerful beings capable of taking the forms of humans but there is no way they won’t be spotted in an academy with someone as powerful as arch mage Kratos and Pope Light present. The only way to get around this is by taking the body of a student and using it as their base of operation!
The moment it was expelled from the human’s body, the fox spirit revealed a terrified look on its face since it knew its cover has been blown but it had no time to dwell on such thoughts since there was an airborne lone wolf, preparing to pounce on him!
Spirit flame!
The small fox spirit which was no bigger than an average-sized dog yanked its mouth open and fierce gray flames formed a medium size ball and shot towards Damon!
“Fool! You cant dodge if you are airborne!” it cried out hilariously!
“And who said I need to dodge?” Damon’s voice was filled with disdain as his hands began moving leaving behind a darkish purple trail!
Brilliant claw!
Damon brandished his claws at the flames, releasing an arch of a darkish purple claw-shaped projectile that collided with the flames!
From the cloud of smoke above, Damon shot out like an arrow but the fox had retreated before he could reach it, causing him to land on all fours!
“You!” Damon cursed disdainfully as the fox could be seen airborne but its tail stretched like a spear, shooting towards Damon!
“IT’S OVER!” Damon bellowed!
Werewolves ROAR!
As he screamed, immense purple waves of energy exploded from his body, knocking away the tail and the fox spirit!
Bang!
The fox spirit smashed into a tree and before its body could drop to the ground, Damon’s body flashed and reached the enemy in mere seconds. He grabbed it by the throat and slammed it into the tree but this time twice as hard.
“How can you be so strong? You only turned recently!” The fox spirit muttered with great effort but Damon only tightened his grip on its neck!
“I feel insulted by your malicious thoughts towards me... Does a mere house dog think he can take my life and steal my soul? I am Damon Ross. The strongest chosen of this academy. It’s a thousand years too early for you to have such thoughts!”
Crack!
A bone-shattering sound could be heard as Damon finished speaking. He had already snapped the neck of the fox spirit without knowing!

Damon let the corpse fall to the ground as he felt a burning sensation on his back. It was a strange symbol in a language he couldn’t read appearing on his back! His eyes narrowed as he turned and saw the three men standing some distance behind him!
It was Arch mage Kratos, Duke Hail, and Pope Light!
“I told you guys there is no need to worry, he will be just fine!” Pope light laughed.
“I must say he will make a good lone wolf... Keeping him here to deal with supernatural beings is not a bad idea after all” Arch mage Kratos said.
“This is the weakest opponent he can find... It will only get harder from here” Duke Hail said with a frown.
