“Oh.” She paused briefly, walked to the passenger seat, opened its door, and got in.
Upon getting in, she inexplicably thought of that misunderstanding the last time she had sat in his car and instantly felt uneasy.
Indeed, I shouldn’t have gotten into his car! This is too awkward… she was mumbling this inwardly when a pressurizing feeling assailed her.
Regaining her senses, she looked up just in time to see him lean over.
“W – What?!” She hugged her chest with both hands, as though she were protecting herself from him.
He raised an eyebrow at that and answered, “Fastening your seat belt.”
As he spoke, his slender palms already managed to buckle up her seat belt.
The man’s breathe fanned her skin and made her feel slightly hot.
“I – I can do it myself!” she said, flustered.
“It’s already fastened.” He glanced at her and sat back on his seat.
The car soon stably drove off.
Pei Ge, who was recalling that previous incident and was at a loss for words, did not speak much during the ride. As such, she totally forgot to tell the man her address.
“Where do you live?” he calmly asked with his eyes on the road.
“Huh? Oh! I live at XX Apartment on XX Road,” she quickly reported her address.
He only lightly hummed to acknowledge her words.
The car fell silent again.

She felt bored as the car drove onward. Looking at the man, who was concentrating on the road, she eventually directed her gaze outside the window.

“Damn them! This old lady here actually made up her mind to quit if they didn’t approve the leave application this time!”
“Ha ha!” She laughed unrestrainedly at Tang Xiaoyu’s declaration.
Ji Ziming could not help but feel displeased when he saw her beam on the phone.
