Chapter 1055: The Test Concludes

"Ahem…." XY-89 knew it was not good to let things continue, so he looked at those left and scratched his head. "Next Tilia against Instructor Ivy…."
Instructor Ivy looked at Tilia and walked on stage. This girl was at least not made of flames. But her mistake in her train of thought started there when she saw Tilia, who had been flying this entire time, land on the stage. The whole place suddenly turned into a world of ice. Instructor Ivy felt her entire body grow ice cold in an instant as fear filled her eyes. She quickly jumped in the air and flew off the stage. "She passes!"
XY-89 shook his head as he thought: "Freaks! Each and every one of them!" He looked at the few that were left and said: "Instructor Ghast versus Camlia."
Instructor Ghast no longer held any hope of regaining any face after dealing with the people of this family. He looked at Camlia with a fearful and wary expression, wondering what was going to happen to him next. You could say Kana's family has traumatized him. He took a deep breath and said: "You can start…."
"Ah…. Ummm…." Camlia turned to Kana with a bit of helplessness on her face. Her skills were not really meant for tests.
"Big Sister, just open the gate to the new hell you created and let him have a peek inside," Kana suggested.
Camlia also felt this was the only way and waved her hand. Two giant skeletons suddenly rose up from the ground before stabbing their hands into the fabric of space and ripped it open to reveal a horrifying sight. Instructor Ghast almost vanished from growing paler than he already was as he stumbled back and fell on his butt. "You-You pass!"
Camlia nodded and waved her hand. The skeletons closed the gate and crawled back underground. Only one side of the colosseum got to see what was in the gate, and those who did were all stricken with fear. The young girl seemed to be some kind of demonic being who came to Aurora.
Camlia walked off stage while Soli took her place. Instructor Mills knew it was his turn, so he walked up on stage and looked at the cold faced beauty with a bit of wariness. "How about this…. You block one blow from me, and I will pass you?" Instructor Mills was sick of being sent flying!
Soli nodded and readied her sword. Instructor Mills shot forward and punched out with his metal fist. Soli watched as the fist attacked toward her shoulder and swung her body to the side, lifted her foot, and kicked the metal man in the side…. Sending him flying across the stage and back into the barrier.
Kana held her head. That was not a block! She once again disappeared and reappeared next to Instructor Mills and healed him. "I am sorry, she is not good at holding back…."
"Ah? Yeah… it's fine… She passed, so it's fine…." Instructor Mills let out a sigh of relief that this was his last challenger, that was until he heard XY-89's words.
"To fully test the last person, myself, Instructor Ghast, Instructor Ivy, and Instructor Mills will face off against Kana." XY-89 had to do this, or it would not be a proper test. He had seen Kana's abilities thus far. She, by far, passed, but they still had to test her.
Only Kana stood there staring at the arena blankly until it finally hit her. "Ah, right! I need to be tested!"
Kana flew over to the center of the arena and wanted for the others. When all four were standing there in the arena, XY-89 took the lead and said: "You can start."
Kana nodded and slowly hovered in the air. Her eyes changed into a sea of stars as she flicked her fingers, and the entire stage suddenly disappeared except for where the four were standing. An oppressive force weighed down on all four of them, causing the four to kneel down. No matter how much they tried to resist the power, they were unable to. They could only look at Kana in horror. "This power…. It's like his excellency!"
"Kana, you pass!" XY-89 yelled out through gritted teeth. Any more, he would need to go in for repairs!
Kana smiled and released her pressure, and then snapped her fingers, causing the stage to be reformed. "So we are all now part of the academy?" She asked with a big smile.
XY-89 whipped the oil that leaked out of some of his joints and nodded his head. "I can only say that your entire family is filled with monsters. This year Aurora's Angel Academy really took in some powerful beings. Although I am not sure what the academy can do for you and your family."
"It's not what they can do. It is the knowledge they can provide. I know there are many strong people in this academy, some that can match my family members so they will be able to learn a lot here. As for me, I am just here to learn more about this realm." Kana replied honestly. She really was only here to learn more about this place and to watch over her family.
XY-89 did agree with her statement. While her family members were strong, there were still those who were stronger in this academy, and it would be a good place for them to learn. But as for Kana, he could not even measure her strength. He wondered just how powerful she was. She seemed on par with the one man who stood above all. If he knew that she was stronger than the old man, he might end up soiling his pants.
"Now, for the men who have passed, follow me. Girls follow Instructor Ivy." XY-89 announced.
Ivy, who was still in a daze, almost jumped out of her skin when her name was called. But she quickly composed herself and got everyone to gather around. "I will now take you to the female dormitory. This is where you will all reside from this moment on. You can only leave the academy when you have authorization or are taking on a mission."
