The metal shutter was like a block of ice as it quickly melted under Kana's flame. "Come on, let's go."
Mary was shocked at how quickly they broke through the metal shutter, which was designed to block the enemy from raiding their base. But as they turned the corner, a group of soldiers was already making their way towards them. "There they are! Kill the traitor and capture the prisoner!"
"Oh? Not even trying to hide the fact that you are keeping me, prisoner, anymore?" Kana sneered as she charged forward into the group of soldiers. With Aoi behind her blasting those she could not currently reach with thin blades of water, Kana used her tail and claws to slice through anyone in her way. The whole hall was quickly filled with the scent of blood. Even Kana was unable to dodge the blood that splattered on her body. Nor did she have time to even think about it as she yelled: "Mary let's go!"
Mary was seriously shocked. That was a group of ten soldiers, all dead almost in an instant. What amazed her more was how well Kana and Aoi worked together. No matter where Aoi fired off her water blades, they always passed by Kana with ease, and Kana did not even need to think about the blades flying by her. Their teamwork was absolutely amazing.
"Mary, how many people are in this base!?" Kana shouted as she let loose another dragon breath.
"This base has over two thousand troops. If I am not wrong, the commander has probably sent every troop in the base at us. He will not rest until you are captured. His career is on the line because the higher ups want you alive. He will do whatever he can to keep you here. So…. Kana, if I get hit or captured, just leave me behind." Mary explained as she ducked into a small inlet in the hall while firing a few shots down the hall.
"How about this, if you get shot to the point you can't move or get captured, I will kill you along with those who did it." Kana said jokingly before using the wall as leverage to dodge a few beams of light and pouncing on the new group of soldiers. Mary laughed dryly, not sure if Kana was joking or not, but deep down, she would prefer to die than be captured.
As for the soldiers who were being slaughtered, left and right, they were screaming for backup as Kana claws swiped across their necks, severing it from their bodies. "She's a fucking monster! Kill her!"
"Monster? Haha! You're wrong. I'm a wonderful, beautiful dragon!" Kana shouted as her body began to glow as she shrunk down in size. Doing a twist in the air, landing straight on top of the man's head who had just shouted out, crushing him to the floor into a meat patty. All the while, she stood there making a strange pose. She had her right hind leg stretched out behind her, her front right claws forming a v sign over her right eyes as she twirled around.
"Kana!?" Seeing Kana's baby dragon form shocked Mary so much she forgot to duck for cover or shoot.

"Mary! You're in battle, pay attention!" Kana yelled out as she jumped backwards, evading a few more beams of light. She did a full somersault in the air, twisted her body, and let out a [Dragon Breath] instantly killing another twenty soldiers. "Yeah, this form is much easier to fight in." Kana wished she had brought her sword with her, but at the same time, she was glad she didn't. She did not want to lose the sword her Handsome Husband had made for her.
"Commander, if we go on like this, the whole damn base will end up slaughtered. Why are you so adamant about capturing that prisoner!? We have already lost a few hundred soldiers!" One of the squad leaders who was now missing an arm yelled out. He was furious. So many of his men died almost instantly without even being able to put up a fight. This was worse than trying to fight a dreg by almost a million times!
"You and your men are nothing but lowly lower class. Do as I ordered and make sure it is done. If you can not do it, then just go die!" Commander Branson yelled out he was furious that his people could not even stop two females!
"Heh. Are you nothing but cannon fodder to you? If that is the case, then you can go to hell with us!" The squad leader pulled a pistol type weapon from behind him and fired a few shots at the Commander without a second thought. Since he was going to die anyway, he would take down this man in front of him who only saw them as meat to feed the damn beast he was trying to contain.
"Humph!" The beams of light hit a blue barrier that surrounded the commander. He looked at the one armed squad leader and sneered. He then pulled out a pistol type weapon of his own and fired a single shot at the squad leader's head, killing him instantly. "Do you really think your equipment is the best? Heh, you have post war equipment that can't even harm shit. Since you little shits can't deal with two little girls, then I will do it myself." Commander Branson stepped right on the dead squad leader and ran towards the west side of the base.
"Damn it. There is no end to them!" Kana complained. Right now, she was drenched in blood. Her claws and even her teeth were dripping in it.
"Kana, can you toss me one of their weapons? I am out of energy." Mary yelled out from her cover spot. Unlike Kana, she had to continue to stay undercover. Aoi was next to her, covering her backside allowing the two to keep pressing forward.
"It's safe to come up and grab what you need." Kana yelled as she shook her whole body, trying to take the blood off. She was happy Mary had a storage item, or her bag would end up being soaked in blood right now.
Mary ran up and began stripping items off the dead. "We are almost to the exit. But I think they will already have a group blocking it off by now. If I am not wrong, the Commander might even make an appearance. If he does we may be in trouble. The weapons he has are much better than what we got here."

"Don't worry about it. If he thinks he can stop me then he has another thing coming. I haven't even used any high level attacks yet."
