On the other side of the world, on the Eucaveron continent, a small village was currently a sea of blood. It did not matter if it was human or any other race, they were all treated the same. They were attacked and then eaten alive by the thousands of insectoids that had appeared out of nowhere. Each one had glowing red eyes that seemed mindless in their actions, with the only thought of feeding on all things.
The insectoids no longer looked like their civilized selves as they did before. They were nothing more than zombies. The cries and screams of those who were caught and dragged to the ground filled the sky. This scene was playing out in many areas, not only on the Eucaveron continent. But every continent besides two, Munas and Pleqoth.
In the Rural Kingdom, Tilia was getting messages from many of the world leaders asking for assistance. Her face pale from hearing about all the accounts. It wouldn't be so bad if it was just a few thousand here and there, but when the whole continent is being flooded with hundreds of thousands of insectoids bent on consuming living flesh, it was almost impossible for one kingdom to handle on its own.
While Tilia was trying to figure out ways to safely evacuate people to her continent, Kana was with Eie and Tri'an in their lab, trying to figure out what the insects' weaknesses were besides the planet core in Misaki and her own withering. "We have hatched a few of these insects and contained them in a field of your death element, but it seems they feed off anything with energy. Plants, people, anything that has any energy at all. Metal and other construction material and cut down trees that are no longer alive do not seem to cause them to react. But any form of magic besides your withering and blunt weapons will be effective on the."
"So there is no way for us to use my flame breath or fire of any kind to kill them?" Kana asked. If these things were as Eie was describing, trying to wipe them out would be almost impossible. Without using the planet core inside Misaki, which would wipe out all life on the planet.
"I think no matter how we look at it, the only way to kill them is by attacking their lifeforce. As you saw with the fire test, they just flock to it and consume it." Eie scratched her head and wondered what else would work.

"The insectoids have begun to move. Munas is fine for the time being. But if you do not pull those who you wish to protect out now, they might fall. Also… Ceilie might already be…." Sei lowered her head. She did not even wish to finish her sentence.
"Okay, I have already talked with Big Sister and made arrangements for my family members to take refuge in hell. She is there now, setting things up with Dandan. I will head out and pick Killiffia up now. Sei, keep an eye on Tilia. If I am not back and things get too dangerous, knock her out and take her to hell." Kana bit her fingernail as she wondered where Ceilie would be right now.
"I will watch over her for you, do not worry. But what about Ceilie? The last I heard, she was heading to Faegrocari again. It would be almost impossible to find her easily." Sei was truly worried. Only Pleqoth and Munas were not under siege right now. Ceilie and Nergal would likely have already ended up under siege if they were near a remote village on another continent.
"I will head there after I send Kiliffia away. I do not know if I can find her, but I need to at least try." Kana took a deep breath before turning to Eie: "Eie, you and Tri'an try to find another weakness anything would be of use right now. As for the insectoid race, we can only hope the other continents' kingdoms can band together. "
"We will try to find what we can." Eie replied resolutely.
Kana wished she could just teleport everyone to hell, but there was no place for such a large amount of people. That was hospitable for them to live. As Kana started thinking of hell a thought came to mind. "Wait! What about those things…." Kana waved her hand, causing a darkling to appear next to her. She then had the darkling stick its hand into the container with the insects. And almost as if the darklings were some kind of insect spray, the insects began to try to escape the container but slowly had the power inside them sucked out until they fell to the bottom of the container dead.
"This may work! If more of these things show up, I can send the billions of darklings I have out into the world to hunt them down. Sadly it would not be good to use them against the insectoid race that is wreaking havoc right now." The reason she couldn't use them against the insectoid race was because there were insectoids who were innocent on these continents that were also being eaten alive by their own kind.
"If we can use these darklings, then we have a fighting chance. But we still need a way to push back the mindless insectoids. Anyway, I will keep trying to think of a solution for now. I need to make sure my family is safe." Kana said a few more things to Sei before teleporting to a small farmhouse in the countryside of the Rural kingdom. She was met with a small little fox girl running around the flower filled field next to the house. And behind her was Kiliffia chasing after her with worry written all over her face.
