Bewitching the Holy Son (3)

This battle was inevitable. What she had to do was figure out how to deal with the aftermath and how to remove herself from the story.

Worse comes to worst, she would just leave with Ulysses. If the demon chased after them then so be it.  It would be difficult for her to gain a foothold in the earl estate after the mess caused by this demon. It was better to leave some gold coins for her family. Moreover, there might not be anything bad to come out of leaving with Ulysses.

Just being unable to continue to learn from Dubian made her a little bit reluctant.

Anna stayed far away, waiting for the battle between Ulysses and the demon to come to an end.

She saw that someone in the distance had noticed the conflict between the two and left in a hurry. They probably went to find Earl Wilson. Both of them were very distinguished. If they fought, of course Earl Wilson would come to be a peacemaker and stop them.

What she was worried about was that the uncontrollable, unstable demon might not do what she wanted.

The shadow that had been pressing on Anna’s heart since the demon took possession of the Holy Son finally showed its hideous face. Perhaps she was too optimistic about what she had previously thought.

In the clearing in front of Anna, Rothgarr and Ulysses had officially begun.

The Holy Son’s body was a pure light affinity body and could only use light spells. Ulysses was best at using fire spells, but at least he could use wind spells as well.

As for their battle, it wasn’t the same as Anna had seen previously in various film and television dramas. Perhaps it could be called a “battle between mages”? Their physical fitness was not bad, and was even pretty good. They used their body movements to avoid attacks, and also combined their movements with the release of spells. The dance was generally graceful and dazzling to watch.

After a brief separation, Ulysses condensed the fire element in his palm, and through the bracelet-style staff worn on his wrist, a blatant fire dragon appeared behind him.

“Do be careful.” After he said this, he waved his arm diagonally to the right, and the fire dragon leaped over his head and galloped towards Rothgarr as if under his command.

Rothgarr grinned. The light element was condensed in his palm, and it clung to his five slender fingers as Rothgarr ran, not retreated, towards the fire dragon. When the fire dragon was near him, he suddenly lowered his body and raised his hand. A white light hit the fire dragon’s body, forming a depression in the fire dragon. The overall body shape of the fire dragon also moved slightly.

But flames had a flowing characteristic, and the hole was quickly filled. The fire dragon looked unscathed.

Rothgarr’s face remained unchanged when he saw this, but a crazed sneer appeared at the corner of his mouth. He sped up his movements abruptly, and shot continuously at the body of the fire dragon. A path which formed in the middle of the fire dragon’s body, much like Moses dividing the sea, appeared in front of Ulysses.

Ulysses frowned slightly. He ignored the battered fire dragon, condensing the wind element in his hand. After casting a spell, he attacked Rothgarr and sent him flying away.

Rothgarr sneered. He used the same technique to disperse the wind element on his body, and continued to shoot a white light at Ulysses as he approached.

Ulysses ducked sideways, but another white light appeared when he was dodging. He could only raise his hand to build a small fire shield with the fire element. But when the fire shield and the white light clashed against each other, Rothgarr appeared beside him, and the white light in his palm struck his shoulder fiercely. The momentary burning pain close to the heart made him grunt and lose control of the fire dragon.

But Rothgarr was not done yet. Every time the white light flashed in his palm, he would send it into Ulysses’ body. When Ulysses was in so much pain that he couldn’t stop shaking, he twisted Ulysses’ shoulders and fiercely pressed him on the ground.

“Before provoking someone, figure out who your opponent is. You should be thankful that Anna is watching right now.”

Rothgarr coldly dropped this sentence on Ulysses, got up and walked towards Anna.

It was just that after two steps, his figure swayed slightly. Even his possession was a little unstable.

Hm, his mental power was indeed not enough.

Rothgarr ignored his pale face and walked over to Anna, frowning: “If I don’t agree, no one can take you away.”

Anna’s heart jumped.

His words sounded really handsome, but she was not moved by it.

She was only afraid of his determination to get her soul.

Could it be that no matter how hard she put up a fight, she would not be able to escape the fate of having her soul harvested in the end?

Although Anna once thought that this demon was an underling, she later understood his power was great, and now had no doubt about his strength.

As a demon, he could use the abilities of the different people he possessed. She saw that he was very proficient with fire spells, and now he was also proficient with light spells, as if he had always been an upright priest.

His strength made her feel terrified.

Perhaps, even if she was lucky enough to become a five-star mage, she couldn’t escape from his hands.

Anna took a small step back unconsciously.

Rothgarr saw her fear, but didn’t understand what she was afraid of.

It was Ulysses who was forcibly taking her away, and he was the one who stopped Ulysses; why was she afraid of him instead?

Rothgarr certainly didn’t want Anna to be afraid of him, seeing as success was in sight.
