The First Batch of Potions (1)

Although the demon’s performance made Anna feel funny, she would never forget his malice towards her. All he did was to be able to harvest her soul. She had to be vigilant!

But then again, under the circumstances when she could see him and where he was restricted by the rules, it was actually very easy for her to perfuse him. She just had to be on guard and not let him interrupt her daily life.

Now he had changed his strategy of  approaching her, and this strategy seemed very acceptable to her, so she would cooperate with him. Her performance just now should be passable, right? The demon wouldn’t possess Leon now, right? She had done all that she could; the rest was up to God’s will.

Anna walked back to her residence in the dark and meditated deep into the night, feeling the activeness of all the affinity elements under the mobilization of her mental power. Before going to bed, she felt a faint increase in mental power, and she fell asleep peacefully.

The next morning, Anna went to the service desk and glanced at the memo given to her. The time and place shown on it did not change from what Leon said yesterday.

She remembered that Leon had taken the task sheet down yesterday, and asked Teresa: “Does Mage Leon often do tasks?”

Teresa knew everything about the association very well and nodded: “Yes, Mage Leon is a very enthusiastic person. Not only does he often provide the greatest personal help to the association, but also solves the worries of many mages.”

Anna couldn’t help but smile, Teresa’s words were very interesting; the same thing, coming from her mouth, could be said very nicely.

The mission that Leon had chosen yesterday, she actually glanced at it before. It was posted by a three star mage, and the task was to obtain the brain tissue of a kind of demonic creature in the line of life and death. The commission was very high, fifty gold coins. She wanted it very badly but there was no way for her.

And teaching newly inducted mages, one l could also earn five gold coins.

Leon was very young, much more mature and stable than those of the same age. He inherited the noble title early, probably to share the burden of his family. She suspected that he was short of money, which was why he would do things that most mages would not do.

Of course, a viscount did not lack money the same way she lacked money, but after she came to understand the situation, she felt that she was closer to Leon in her heart—they were all “poor ghosts” who sought after money.

When Anna saw Leon in the No. 5 Pharmacy Room, she greeted Lyon very warmly: “Teacher Lyon, good day!”

“Good day.” Leon was a little surprised at Anna’s excitement, but he was relieved when he thought of the content of today’s course, “Today I will explain some potion preparation principles and preparation techniques to you.”

“Okay, Teacher Leon!” Anna said, “I finished reading “Potions 101″ yesterday, and have some slight understanding about potions. You can lecture rest assured; I will ask questions if I don’t understand.”

This world was not as detailed and complicated as Anna’s world, because the book “Potions 101” was actually very thin, even less than fifty pages, so she read it pretty quickly.

Leon smiled faintly, he admired Anna’s learning attitude very much.

“En, I will demonstrate and explain at the same time, which will help you understand. Do you have an affinity for the water element?”

“Yes, but I’m not very proficient.” Anna said, she only learned of all her elemental affinities two days ago, “The only thing I can use relatively proficiently is the fire element.”

“It doesn’t matter, I don’t have an affinity for the fire element. Today, I will use the water element to get you started, which is more conducive to your future learning.” Leon said.

“Okay, Teacher Leon, I will learn earnestly.” Anna replied seriously.

She thought that although Leon might have been teaching the introductory course for money, he also took it very seriously and gave her the possibility of being able to self-study in the future while still learning successfully. He did not deliberately conceal information and insist she pay for his class in the future to actually teach material.

Some common pharmaceutical raw materials in the pharmacy room were provided free of charge, but you had to apply before each use of the pharmacy room. After the application is approved, the applicant can use some common and cheap pharmaceutical raw materials at will during the period stated on the application.

Anna remembered that at first she thought the test fee for five gold coins was too expensive, but compared to the benefits that could be enjoyed after joining the Mage Association, that gold coin was really a very, very good deal.

At least in her opinion, the Association that charged for each class were actually very humane. They would rather post tasks to find a handful of mages willing to work hard to get the raw materials for free use in the pharmacy, in order to ensure the benefits of free use of select raw materials in the pharmacies.

In fact, most of the fees charged for classes were probably given to the teachers of the class.

It could be said that the Mage Association was really a charitable organization. No wonder it required an entrance fee of five gold coins to prevent ordinary people from joining the association at will. Otherwise, the association would be overcrowded and the association was afraid that it would run into a financial deficit. She had reason to suspect that the current financial situation of the association was not great.
