She had not finished her thought when several security guards dashed out of the stairwell. They could have gotten the message from the receptionist. They drew their pistols and aimed at Wang Wen and the middle-aged woman as soon as they entered the lobby.
The middle-aged woman was taken aback. “Don’t worry; he has no bullets in his gun,” she yelled to the security guards.

A ball of distorted air exploded. A few bodyguards screamed and twitched as they fell to the ground. There was no movement within a few moments.
The middle-aged woman tensed again.
Her throat made a sound, but she could not say anything.
She turned her head and looked at the small silver pistol she thought was empty of bullets.
“I am not lying to you,” Wang Wen patiently explained. “There are no bullets at all. That was poison. Tower climbers use traps; how can we use guns?”
The road behind them was smooth.
The middle-aged woman said nothing as she led Wang Wen to the second-floor office hall.
Wang Wen’s gun-wielding appearance startled the staff at the door when they walked in.
A few of them pretended to be brave and shouted, “What are you doing?”
The middle-aged woman did not dare to speak. She continued walking toward the supervisor’s office.
“Everyone, continue working,” Wang Wen said after a brief moment of thought. “Don’t worry about us.”
Wang Wen’s expression changed when he realized his voice was calm and did not sound fierce.
The man closest to him raised his hand and took the small silver pistol from his grasp.
Wang Wen did not even have to shut his eyes. He turned around and stared at the man. The man slammed his chair against the wall and landed on his back.

He shook his head and decided to let them go.
