When the mother daughter duo reached the storage room they looked upon a small area that was covered by flat stones. On top of the stones was a mount of small packages that had been crafted with long leaves. Kai took a deep breath and enjoyed the smell of roasted meat.
She crouched down to help herself and ignored Anna’s attempts to stop her in the process. The leaves were still warm to the touch and Kai had to swallow her saliva. She opened one of the packages and took the luscious piece of meat out.
Then she put it into her mouth and tasted heaven. Seriously, there was something wrong with the taste, the meat wasn’t even seasoned and was already the best she had ever eaten. Hell, it tasted better than Kai had ever imagined food to be able to taste! It was the definition of a taste orgasm.
She blamed her Antanoid body for the taste difference and was taken all the way back to her first day on this planet. Kai lost herself in a food rush and Anna watched her a bit puzzled by the situation. She tried some of the meat herself and while it did taste really good, it wasn’t something she would lose herself in.

Kai buried her face in her hands and looked away from Anna. That was so embarrassing. “I am so sorryyyy!”
Anna squeezed her shoulder reassuringly. “It is alright my lady. If something is to your liking I will gladly eat something else.”
Kai slapped Anna’s arm away. “Stop that! You know I don’t like it when you talk stupid things like this!” She had eaten her daughter's portion and wouldn’t accept Anna just waving it off.
Her daughter smiled at her. “It’s just the truth. I did eat some of the meat myself while you were in your little frenzy though so you really don’t have to worry, my lady.”
Kai blinked. “You did?”
Anna nodded and Kai pouted a bit. “Why didn’t you say that first!” Seriously, it would have prevented this emotional rollercoaster.
The worker did a small bow. “My apologies, but I wanted to see your reaction, mother. You are really cute when you are embarrassed.”
Kai eyed her daughter. She would make sure to pay Anna back for that during training tomorrow. The girl needed to experience hell for a bit.
After that Kai went to sleep with a once again heavy tail. Considering that she had just eaten like one and a half pigs worth of meat that wasn’t really surprising.
It took her a long time to fall asleep, because she was still embarrassed. Her real problem wasn’t that she had fallen into a food rush again, but that Anna had witnessed her during one. Her first daughter somehow always managed to be around when something weird happened.
Kai wasn’t really worried about the food rushes. They were likely a result of her body's energy reserves for birthing running low and wouldn’t happen again if she ate a bit more, especially meat.
The next day in the morning she laid another hunter egg and went bathing with Anna afterwards.
She wasn’t quite able to hold up her tail and had to drag it around like in the first few days of her queen life, though it wasn’t nearly as bad.
After breakfast Kai repeated her mana training. She couldn’t really concentrate well though, because she thought about the footwork training and ways to screw with her daughter.
She took a small break before the second training and then repeated what they had done yesterday only with reversed positions. This time Kai was the one who had to shove and Anna had to endure.
Kai held herself back a bit in this training and went all out in the next stage of the training. She made Anna fall over a lot and had a lot of fun. Anna laughed about it together with her and had fun herself. Kai didn’t mind though, she had forgotten about the eating incident already during the training.
While they trained the other Antanoid built another room and Erika managed to create the first crude stone blade. The hive drones were also active scouting more of the area around the hive and looked out for any threats.
In the afternoon Tiffany visited Anna and Kai to tell them about their idea for a ranking system. She looked proudly at her mother. “So, we decided to keep the name worker for those of the lowest rank.”
Kai nodded and urged her to continue. “The worker's job is to construct planned things and point out any possible mistakes or give ideas for improvement should she have any.”
Tiffany scratched her head. “The next rank would be the group head. The group head is the one who gives the workers the plan for the construction. Her job is to help out the workers and coordinate her group with others. A group has 10 workers.”
She clicked her mandibles together. “In the future you will get promoted through merit and your leading ability, by Brian. For now the others have elected me to be the first group head.”
Kai didn’t have anything to complain about, despite the fact that it pushed the Antanoid into a layered community.
Tiffany smiled. “To make sure the worker doesn’t get abused in any way she is the one who gets to choose under whom she wants to work and can apply for a change to another group if there is a free spot or someone else who wants to change groups.”
The ranking system continued in a similar manner. 5 group heads were overwatched by a group manager that could be voted out by them. The 5 group managers were connected by a construction leader and 5 of them worked under a project supervisor.
They hadn’t worked out more ranks yet and things could be changed around if there was a better option.
Honestly, for Kai it was more than enough. A single project supervisor had more than 5000 workers under her wing and she had no idea when and where she would lay that many eggs.
Kai could do it, that wasn’t really the problem here, but she didn’t want to turn into a pleasure addicted fool that only wanted to lay more and more eggs like a heroine at the end of a weird hentai not that she had ever read anything like that, cough, cough.
She smiled and hugged Tiffany. “You all did an awesome job. Please tell the others that they are awesome too.”

The ranking system of course wasn’t perfect and if they all were humans Kai was pretty sure that it would be corrupted in no time at all or even fall together, because nobody wanted to work under someone else willingly.
This was the problem with systems. In theory they mostly sounded nice, but reality is often disappointing. As far as she was concerned, on earth systems like communism only didn’t work because of human nature.
Now if Kai managed to create something like communism for the Antanoid that worked and didn’t immediately offend everyone else, she would do so. The only problem that came to her mind right now was how other species came into play here. That was something she had no idea about and that had to be tested first anyway.

Anna’s smile became a bit wider. “I would never do such a thing, my lady.”
