*SWISHHH*

*THWAK*

Only the sound of air being torn apart and the sound of the wooden ceiling being cut through sounded out. And all Triton did was elegantly move his hand towards the protector who was grabbing Ana.

However, his hand was stretched out in empty air and was not anywhere near the servant.

A strange silence filled the whole pub, and even Damien was surprised when he looked at the servant.

The protector's eyes widened, and he was about to touch his neck when his head suddenly separated from his body and fell down on the floor before rolling away.

"AAAAHHH!"

Blood spurted out from his decapitated neck like a fountain, and Ana screamed as she struggled free from the dead servant's hold and backed away.

The rest of them were shocked, including Roran and his remaining protector. People sitting near the place where the protector died quickly got up and stumbled backward.

All Damien saw was a water blade quickly shot out from Triton's hand, and he only managed to see it because of his Mirage of Myriad Phantasms.

Everyone could also see a wide hole in the shape of a slash on the wooden ceiling and gulped, wondering how that handsome youngster could be so powerful.

Who could this young noble be?

However, Triton was still sitting in the chair without a change in his expression as if he only squashed an ant and said with his eyes still closed, "Now two remains."

Roran's expression became aghast and pointed at Triton with shaky fingers, "Y-YOU...my father will kill you!"

Roran's protectors were two high-ranked elders of his family, and Triton, with just a swing of his hand, decapitated one of them. Even the other protector didn't dare to voice out any threats lest his head gets decapitated as well.

Roran finally found some strength in his legs and frantically rushed towards the door to run away!

Even though he was arrogant, he wasn't that foolish to let someone kill him. If they could easily kill his protector, he couldn't imagine how easy it would be for the same person to kill him.

However, just as they were about to open the door, two bright amber-colored arrows shot through Roran and his protector's necks. It cleanly pierced through their necks and even continued to move forward till it burnt down the door.

"My control of fire is so bad…" Damien mumbled as he dusted his hands. The only reason he was able to use some fire attacks was that he comprehended the Veiled Mamba's ethereal fire art, at least some of it.

Triton finally opened his eyes, not expecting Damien to make a move suddenly. Damien felt Triton's gaze, so he shrugged and said, "What? You can't be the only one who gets to cause trouble."

Triton sighed as he wondered why he lost control of his emotions for a moment when he saw the way the protector was treating Ana. He didn't even know Ana, let alone have any feelings or thoughts towards her, but for a certain reason, at that moment, he felt a prick in his heart.

Damien also noticed that since he thought Triton was the calm type who rarely volunteers to put up a fight or kill unless someone personally attacks him.

However, only Damien and Triton were the ones who were able to sit calmly in the pub. The others had their eyes wide, with whites showing around their iris.

Some even jumped out of their seats and got into a corner, while others choked on their food out of panic.

These two youngsters are terrifyingly powerful!...A common thought passed through the heads of everyone else.

They wondered if these two were prodigies coming from the imperial city since that's the place where the prodigies usually gathered.

But if that was the case, why would they deign to come to this city located near the borders?

However, some already decided to leave the city since they knew the city lord wouldn't obviously be happy about the death of his son and would take ruthless action to kill these two youngsters unless these two handsome youngsters had a strong backing.

At least, it seemed as if they were coming from big noble families and not just simple young masters, seeing the way how they both killed Roran and his protectors.

Triton looked at Ana standing behind him, whose hands were shaking as she clutched her chest. Triton felt bad and said, "I am sorry for causing more trouble for you. I lost control for a moment. Don't worry. I will take responsibility and bring you to a safe place to protect you from any possible retaliation."

Hearing Triton's sincere words, Ana recovered her senses and felt at a loss for words. She didn't know how to feel about this handsome and mysterious youngster before her whose eyes were even more charming than the prettiest seas.

She felt as if his eyes were drowning her with his charms and felt her heart fluttering for the first time.

She indeed was a bit scared of Triton, seeing how he killed the protector without batting an eye. However, her feelings of appreciation towards him for standing up for her overwhelmed her feeling of fear, especially when he offered her his protection from any possible retaliation from the city lord.

Damien didn't know what to feel, seeing how Triton even charmed a girl without trying.

He felt as if he was seeing some drama where the knight in shining armor saves the damsel in distress, only here he felt pity for the girl since Triton didn't seem to be the type who was interested in romancing, especially when he got his plates full and his mind set on a single goal.

Ana somehow picked up some courage and said, "Y-Young lord, I dare not. You already did too much by helping me now, and I am very thankful for that. I just don't want to waste any more of your precious time."

Ana realized that she was getting ahead of herself by having unnecessary thoughts and forced her mind back to reality after thinking about her own status and situation.

She was no fool and could see that Triton was not a simple young man and might be even having a huge backing which she probably couldn't fathom.

Triton got up and took out a clean handkerchief to wipe the blood that got splotched on her face and said, "You won't. I will just create more time to keep you safe till things settle down."

Ana's face went red right down to her neck as Triton wiped the blood from her cheeks, and hearing his voice that contained a cool charm, she felt flutters in her belly.

Triton genuinely only wanted to take responsibility for his actions. Otherwise, he would have just minded his own business.

He knew that even if he and Damien left this city, Ana would be the one getting punished in their stead.

So, he decided to move her to someplace safe until things calm down or even advise her to relocate permanently.

Ana wondered if such a kind gentleman like Triton could really exist since this was her first time seeing one. Considering the difference in their status, she couldn't understand why someone like him would even defend her.

She could see that Triton wasn't interested in her, nor was there anything special about her, and even if he really was interested, he could just use his power to coerce her.

Everyone else was surprised, too, seeing how kind Triton was to a maid who also had a baby with her.

However, Ana suddenly remembered Roran's father and said, "Young lord, you have to leave now! The city lord would send his men or might even come himself to capture you."

Triton shook his head with a small smile, "It's fine. Don't worry too much about it. Come, have a seat. You look too tired," He said as he placed an empty chair beside the table and offered Ana a seat.

Ana couldn't understand how Triton could be this confident and still had an anxious expression. Damien finally spoke, "Don't worry, Ana. You have no idea how powerful Brother Tonton is. With just a flick of his finger, he can flip a small city like this."

Ana let out a sigh of relief, hearing Damien's confident words. However, Triton's eyes twitched hearing the name 'Tonton' and said coolly, "Brother Pompon surely knows to jest. We know that you are the one who can cover a city like this with your own palm."

Damien let out a dry chuckle, thinking that he should expect such responses from Triton in the future, and said with a slight laugh, "Haha, then I guess we should enjoy our drinks. Come on, take a sip."

Triton hesitantly took a sip and winced as he said, "It's too bitter,"

Damien chuckled, "That's how it is at first. You will get used to it soon. Come on, the one who finishes his drink last will be a pig."

"You!" Triton didn't waste any time and didn't know why but he didn't want to lose this bet to Damien and started chugging down his drink by holding his breath.

Ana's mouth was agape, just like the others in the pub, wondering how these two were having a drinking race despite the events that had just happened, especially after these two killed three important people.

How could they drink so fearlessly?

They etched both the names Tonton and Pompon in their minds and decided to find out more about these mysterious individuals since they never heard of them before. They were very curious about their backgrounds.

However, they were sure that the names Tonton and Pompon would be causing quite a disturbance in the Bluewind City for quite a while.
