The moment the door was closed and locked, Alex asked with her hands behind her back, "Why did you let Lily and her team take up this mission. Aren't they quite new and important assets? Each one of them could help us turn the tide if allowed to reach their potential."
Kena nodded as she kept staring at the door, "Yes…I have no doubt they would one day be powerhouses in their own right. But caging a dragon to protect it will still make it weaker against other dragons when it comes out of the cage. For them to grow as we hope, we have to expose them to the real world as soon as possible. Only then will they learn the rules to survive in our world."
Alex slowly nodded with a contemplative look.
However, Kena turned around and pulled Alex towards her suddenly, whose expression got flustered, "L-Leader…"
"Shh…I told you to call me by name whenever we are alone. Why does your silly little head keep forgetting that?" Kena asked with a seductive smile as she caressed Alex's soft pink lips.
Alex's expression was getting jittery as her cheeks began to turn red, "I…I am sorry, Kena…I won't forget next time."
Kena slowly wrapped her arms around Alex's slender waist and pulled her closer, "And no more apologies for silly things. You are too uptight and serious, aren't you? Maybe I should train you enough to loosen you up."
"T-Train? I am afraid…I…I don't know what kind of training I could…" Alex was finding it hard to gather her thoughts, especially with Kena's face so close to hers, and she could feel her hot breath brushing past her skin.

Kena smiled seductively as she slowly pulled down the zipper on Alex's suit as she said, "It feels like a long time since we had some time alone, don't you think? The past week you had been fully occupied training those girls, and I didn't get to see you for even a minute," Kena's eyes shone as she saw Alex's cleavage revealing itself.
Alex's face was getting redder as she held Kena's hands before the zipper could reveal her entire chest, "I…I had to make sure they would be well prepared as you wanted…And can we do this later? Someone might come in…" Alex said with a nervous look while constantly keeping an eye on the door.
Kena stared at her eyes with a smile for a few moments before she suddenly zipped up Alex's suit and said, "You are too cute, especially when you get nervous. I will be waiting tonight. Wear something nice," Kena said as she kissed Alex's cheek before walking away.
Alex sighed in relief and placed her hand on her chest, unable to calm down her heart. Her heart wouldn't increase a beat even if she was fighting five ghouls at a time, but before Kena…her heart was as unruly as it gets.

Meanwhile, a group of twelve people, 4 men and 8 women, were walking towards the main gate of the Blackthorn Station, dressed in dark green suits, though they hadn't worn their helmets yet.
One might ask how each of them could identify the other if everyone was wearing the same suit and helmet. But Yuria and her sisters knew that each suit had attuned to their personal ethereal aura and could help each other identify based on the aura the suit was giving off.
But Valentina seemed to dislike the suit the most since she felt congested in such a tight suit, and if she were to transform into her beast form, this suit would anyway get ripped to shreds.
Gunner's team was more experienced since they had actually gone for more field missions compared to Jake's team, while Lily's team had been to none at all.

Lily was selected to be the squad leader of her team, which Yuria, Reva, and Valentina felt was the right choice as well.
"So all of you are at the early level of the Profound Ethereal Realm?" Yuria asked Jake's team, to which Jake nodded, "Yes. Cultivation wise, I am the strongest at the third level, and the rest of my team are all at the second level of the Profound Ethereal Realm. But we each have strengths the other might not have. "Great! Our Lita also broke through to the Profound Ethereal Realm," Gunner put his arm around the ginger-haired girl, who smiled, feeling proud.
Becca, who had tied up black hair, said, "It seems like our cultivation is all around the same level. Let's hope the ghouls have weaker cultivation than us, considering the strength advantage they have."
"No need to worry too much. I brokethrough to the second level of the Profound Ethereal Realm. Ghouls can suck my dick, heh," Milo said with a confident smirk.
"I doubt they would be satisfied with your little Milo, haha," Gunner laughed with a burst of laughter as others laughed as well.
"Gunner!" Milo's face became red as he put on his helmet with a grumpy snort.
Lily and Reva felt strange since they weren't used to listening to such jokes, nor did they laugh, feeling that it might insult Milo. But Yuria laughed and wished Damien was here so that she could team up with him and crack some dirty jokes.
"We are at the gate. Let's take a look at the map and see where we are going," Valentina said with a stony expression as others nodded.
