As a dignified lady from a wealthy family, Qin Lili felt terribly embarrassed to be insulted by a wild brat like Ye Tianxin. Refusing to go down without a fight, she shrieked, “Tianxin!”

When Li Qingcang heard her yells, he flung open the door and charged into the room. He quickly pulled Ye Tianxin off from Qin Lili and asked, “What’s going on?”

Ye Tianxin instantly broke down and spoke in between sobs, “Brother Li, she called me an uncultivated wild brat. She said that Grandmother did a poor job in educating me. I…I…just…”

‘I can’t stop myself from beating her up! It really feels good to give that b**** a good thrashing,’ she thought.

Qin Lili got up from the ground and frantically dug out a mirror from her leather bag to check her face for wounds or scratches.

Her carefully did hair was already in a complete mess and her reputation as a respectable woman from a wealthy family was also in shambles.

“Just you wait. I’ll call the police now!” Qin Lili threatened.

Li Qingcang felt extremely disgusted by the members of the Lu family. He knew how patient Ye Tianxin was; she had high tolerance for snob people like Qin Lili. He believed that Ye Tianxin had restrained herself when Lu Jijun and his daughter came. Qin Lili must have said something that triggered Ye Tianxin to strike.

“The person who starts a fight is the despicable one and deserves to be beaten up,” he concluded. Then he turned to Ye Tianxin and said, “Tianxin, next time, stay away from crazy women like Qin Lili. She’s not worth it, a waste of time and effort.” Ye Tianxin nodded with tears in her eyes.

Qin Lili’s face turned red in anger when she heard what Li Qingcang had said but didn’t respond. ‘Oh, well. What can you expect of the daughter of that woman? She’s really shrewd with her ways,’ she thought as she stared at Li Qingcang’s handsome face.

“Hello? Is this the police? I want to report an incident. I’ve been beaten up,” Qin Lili complained over the phone while Li Qingcang comforted Ye Tianxin.

Qin Lili didn’t bother to fix her hair. She planned to use it as evidence to the police and to show how unruly and reckless a country brat like Ye Tianxin was.

After providing the address to the police, she sat down on a chair and glared at Ye Tianxin resentfully. ‘Let’s see if Li Qingcang still dares to cover up for her,’ she contemplated.

Thanks to Lu Qingxin, Ye Tianxin had learned how to pretend to be weak and pitiful when the situation called for it. Thus, she was fearless even when she realized that Qin Lili had really alerted the cops. ‘Sure. Go ahead and call the cops,’ she thought.

Meanwhile, Li Qingcang had instructed someone to bring an ice bag over. While holding Ye Tianxin’s hands, he put the ice bag on her palms.

Earlier on, in an attempt to settle both old and new scores with Qin Lili, Ye Tianxin slapped her twice forcefully, and now her palms were in pain.

“Just leave it to me if you ever need to beat up someone again in the future,” Li Qingcang commented.

Ye Tianxin stared at Li Qingcang as he remained focused on her palms. He was worried about Ye Tianxin and was careful not to hold her hands too tight.

“I’m so pissed off. She can curse me all she wants, but who is she to criticize my grandmother? Although Grandmother is just like any other elderly person out there, she makes an honest living and raised me with her hard-earned money. What gives her the right to insult the only person who was, and still is, there for me? They’re all so annoying. I already said that I want nothing to do with them—absolutely nothing. Why can’t they leave me alone?” Ye Tianxin lamented, exasperated.

Li Qingcang understood how upset she was. Everyone had their trigger points, and, in Ye Tianxin’s case, it was her grandmother.

‘Serves her right. Does Qin Lili think that things will go her way after reporting the incident to the police? She has no idea what I can do then,’ Li Qingcang thought.
