At breakfast the next morning, I got up early and made it for the both of us. Lois walked into the kitchen, still wearing her old jogging pants and baggy t-shirt. I presented her with a plate of food and sat her at the kitchen table. She gave me an odd look for a moment.
I put my plate down across from hers and walked around the table to kneel by her chair. “Mom, I'm sorry.”
“For what?” Lois asked.
“I didn't mean for you to become so uncomfortable around me that you won't bother changing into clothing that you want to wear.” I said. “What I told you the other day was only to let you know that I wasn't ignoring you and that you are, and have always been, a very desirable woman.”
“Connor...”
“I love you. I've loved you ever since the very first moment my eyes beheld such beauty.” I admitted. “I honestly didn't believe it at first. I really didn't. Then I realized you were really real and I felt extremely lucky that I get to have someone like you in my life. Highly intelligent, beautiful, unintentionally sexy when you don't even try...”
Lois started breathing a bit faster.
“Please, stay calm.” I said and took her hand. “There are things that I should tell you...”

Lois lost the blush and frowned a little. “What do you mean? How did I fail when you didn't look?”
“I was staring at you last night after I went to bed and I was waiting for you to change to go to sleep.” I admitted. “When you didn't, I thought you were too nervous about me trying to peek at you.”
Lois opened her mouth to respond, then closed it. She opened her mouth again, then sighed. “You're still not looking.”
I chuckled. “I'm not some lech that stares at women all the time. I do respect people's privacy. Mostly.”
“Connor...”
“You told me to keep my eyes to myself, so I have. I kind of cheated on that last night, just because I couldn't just stop without seeing you change one last time.” I said and then it was my turn to sigh. “When you didn't, I assumed it was because of that old joke and compliment I gave you the other night. I really didn't mean to rattle you so much. I'm sorry.”
Lois sighed and her hands reached for my face. “How can you be this understanding and also drive me so crazy?”
“Hey, that's my line.” I said with a smile. “You forgot the sexy and desirable parts, though.”
Lois laughed softly and leaned down to lightly kiss my lips. “Our conversation has let your tasty smelling breakfast get cold.”
“Not a problem.” I said and stood and gave her plate of food a instant shot of low power heat vision. “There you go.”
Lois caught her breath and stared at me. “What the hell was that?”
“Heat vision on the lowest setting.” I said and did the same to my plate of food before I went to my chair and sat. I started eating and Lois didn't stop staring at me. I finished eating and stood up to walk back over to her. “I'm technically a hero intern, so it's not quite illegal to use my powers.” I said and gave her plate of food another shot. “I'm going out for a bit to scout my future stomping grounds.”
Lois nodded and looked back down at her plate. “Connor...”
“Yes, things are going to change when I get my hero license.” I said and bent down to give her cheek a kiss. “By the way...” I whispered. “...I like pink.”
Lois caught her breath and turned to glare at me, only I wasn't there anymore. “CONNOR!”
I laughed and closed the front door of the house, then I jogged to the train station. I hopped on just as it arrived and rode it towards my destination. It was a bit crowded, probably because of the weekend, and I stepped off at the eighth spot. I didn't get far before I felt an energy wave come towards me. My perception made time stand still as I instantly ran to the side and around, then slammed my fist into the back of the idiot's head that made people into meatballs.
The crunch sound his skull made was satisfying and I grabbed him and put him into the girl's arms before I turned to backhand the big muscular guy that was looking in satisfaction at where I used to be standing. I hit his chest and crushed his ribs, used x-ray vision to see his heart be pierced by a rib, and caught him before he fell.
“Hi, there.” I said and the blonde girl let out a startled sound. “Don't drop him. He's dead tired.”
She gave me a shocked look at then looked at her friend in her arms. “What happened?”
“I told you that Max shouldn't send idiots to recruit me.” I responded. “Your friend there tried to change me into a meatball and both you and this big idiot approved of teaching me a lesson.”
The blonde's eyes went to the big guy's face and paled as a bit of blood came out of his mouth.
“Let me get that.” I said and used his collar to wipe at the blood. It smeared it and I chuckled. “Oops.”
The blonde shook slightly and then took a deep breath.
My fingers shot out and I poked her throat to make her choke. “None of that.” I said and she coughed, and coughed again. “Take me to the car or whatever you needed to take me in.”
The blonde looked at the dead weight in her arms and at me.
“I'll take him, too.” I said and held out my other arm. She gave him to me and I carried both young men as she led us from the station. With the meatball guy dead, the three people he hit where I was standing, started to change back. A few people were freaking out about it, too. I shook my head at the blatant quirk usage that could hurt any number of people, even if he had hit me with it.
The blonde led me to a black SUV that was so cliche that I didn't laugh. A driver and a guard were there waiting and saw us being all chummy. He opened the back door for us and I carefully put the two bodies into the back seat. The big guy wasn't quite dead yet, so I reached over and pinched the blood vessel on the side of his neck. He fell asleep as we drove towards the supposed park that was my destination.
I almost laughed as we entered an industrial park that was surrounded by armed guards. I looked at the blonde and she started sweating. “Some protection you are.”
She tried to talk and rubbed her throat instead. I had damaged her vocal chords and it didn't interrupt her breathing, because I assumed that I would need at least one of them alive for this meeting. I called it right as she was ushered out with me to go inside a warehouse. I used x-ray vision liberally as I scanned over the place and everything inside. I found a control room with monitors and three people inside.
Two were guards and the last was Maxwell Lord, which meant the man we were approaching was a plant and a decoy. The guards stopped at the door to the room and one opened the door for us. The blonde was shaking slightly as I waved her inside first, then I followed her and the door closed behind us. She actually winced when the door was locked very loudly.
“Mister Kent.” The man sitting behind the desk said. “It's nice to finally meet you.”
I huffed. “If that was true, you would have stood and greeted me properly, asshole.”
The man's face contorted in anger. “What did you call me?”
“You're an idiot to send those fools to take me by force. Not once, but twice.” I said and pointed to the blonde. “You would think that someone so smart to build an entire organization based on quirk liberation would have tried to get some smart followers.” I sighed and waved at the room. “Then again, if you're dumb enough to use such an obvious trap to try and make me compliant, you're obviously not smart enough to handle things.”
“I will have you know that I have the backing of several...”
“I'll be checking all of that out on my own, thanks.” I said and looked at the camera and waved. “Hello to those in the control room. I assume you're going to record when I use my quirk and then you'll blackmail me into doing what you want.”
“You are very astute.” The man behind the desk said and lifted some kind of device from a desk drawer. “With you under my control, there's nothing to stop me from getting the rest of the top heroes after you secure Endeavor.” He looked at the girl. “Go ahead and release him, Camie.”
Camie made a choking sound and pointed to her throat.
“What is it? I don't have to keep looking like Max anymore, so end the illusion.”
“I'm not seeing an illusion, you idiot.” I said and turned my head to look at the camera. “Hey, Max! If you wanted to take over the world by controlling the heroes, you made one fatal mistake.”
“Oh?” His voice came over the hidden speakers. “Do enlighten me.”
“You annoyed me.” I said and instantly clapped my hands faster than the speed of sound.
*BOOOM!*
“AHHHH!” Screams from all over the place came after the shockwave destroyed everything in the room and pummelled Camie and the fake Max. They would be dead from internal injuries shortly.
I turned my head to look at the control room to see Maxwell Lord holding his bleeding ears. I moved my arms out slightly and then my eyes glowed red. I unleashed my heat vision to clear the way and launched myself at the control room. My progress wasn't hindered at all as I tore through the walls, ceiling, and support beams holding everything together.
I stopped dead just outside the room and used my heat vision to burn through Max's head and then cut down the two guards. I landed and stepped into the room, then got to work. It didn't take me long to root out all of the people that he had given subliminal messages to and to find out everyone he had secretly working for him. Surprisingly, most did it for money.
I pilfered that, too. I was a little surprised that the control room would have that much access and I thought I would have to infiltrate his company or something to perform some espionage. I wasn't going to complain, though. Easy was fine by me. I raided what files he had, emptied bank accounts, and pretty much brought the whole thing to a dead stop.
I would need to get those people he influenced to see a psychologist or something to remove his programming, assuming it could be done. I didn't know if there was even a way to do it, since it was subliminal. I shrugged and used heat vision to melt everything in the room and tossed the bodies into the melting metal.
I used super-speed to gather all of the guards around and shoved them all into the small meeting room, breaking bones, necks, and crushing chests to get them all to fit. I laughed when I was done, because I managed to get nearly fifty people into the tiny space, including meatball guy and wind guy. With them all together, I used heat vision and melted them all down with the metal room.
I debated destroying the whole warehouse and decided that would be too obvious. The same could be said for the vehicles. Instead of lighting them on fire or something, I crushed them all down into scrap, even the SUV I arrived in, and shoved them into the little meeting room, too. I couldn't leave any traces that I was here and cleaned or destroyed everything I had touched.
My work done, I left at super-speed and ran all the way back to the eighth stop of the train and walked back inside. I hopped onto a train that would take me to Hosu City and then spent several hours walking around and memorizing the streets and businesses. I didn't go to Endeavor's Agency, in case they tried to activate me a day early. Then again, that might be a good idea. It would depend on what Lois said when I went home.
So, I rode the train all the way back home and stopped to grab some fast food for supper, then went to the house and entered. I saw Lois wearing a nice pants suit and she sat at the kitchen table. She also didn't look happy.
I walked over to her and put the fast food containers down. “What's wrong?”
“This.” Lois said and handed me a picture from her suit coat pocket.
I looked at it and it was a woman that I didn't know. She looked extremely happy. I felt something in my head ringing alarm bells and then I realized what I was looking at. The too big smile, the crazy blonde hair, the (hopefully) fake schoolgirl outfit, and the overly large weapons, all pointed to one thing.
“I see you understand.” Lois said. “Stain is inspiring people with his hero murders.”
In my hands was not a picture of Himiko Toga. It was a picture of Harley Quinn. If she had Himiko's quirk of blood transformation, then she was going to be a very dangerous person.
“I'm having doubts about you going to Endeavor's Agency.” Lois said. “That's near one of the worst crime areas in the country.”
I stepped close to her and wrapped my arms around her. “I'll be careful. I promise.” I whispered to her. “No one can get the drop on me and with my super-speed, I can disarm any opponent. Literally if they have more arms than normal.”
Lois smiled at my macabre joke. “Connor, I...”
“I was debating going tonight to report in.” I said and she looked surprised. “With this revelation, I'll stay here and go in when they expect me to.”
Lois relaxed and leaned against me briefly. “We should eat.” She said and looked at the fast food containers. “I'm surprised that you don't want a home cooked meal.”
“I'm practising for the next two weeks, assuming they don't have a good cook or will let me raid their cupboards.” I joked and she laughed softly.
Lois pat my arms and I let her go. We sat down and had a nice meal after that. We didn't talk about anything important and kept the conversation light, because neither of us wanted heavy thoughts going to bed tonight. With me leaving for two weeks in the morning, Lois was going to be home all alone.
We went to our separate bedrooms and I showered and changed for bed instantly.
I laid in bed and I just couldn't resist looking through the walls to check on Lois to see if she was okay. I caught my breath at what I saw and my ears picked up light music. Lois was swaying a little as she slowly stripped off her pants suit.
My mouth was hanging open as she did a very classy striptease, as if she had been practising for years. When the last of the outer clothing was gone and she was left in only a pink frilly bra and panties that were more frills than cloth, she turned to look at me.
“Were you disappointed with your last look?” Lois asked in a whisper.
I reached for the wall and knocked twice. Then a moment later, knocked twice more. A moment after that, knocked twice more. When I didn't continue, Lois smiled happily and nodded. She climbed into bed wearing what should have been uncomfortable, she closed her eyes and let out what sounded like a relieved sigh.
Damn. I thought and committed what I just saw to memory. I had never seen anything like it before and I had been to a strip club in my previous life. I had also seen movies and videos based around it. None of it compared to what Lois had just done. The thing was, I hadn't grown hard for her. I had been too shocked by the sight to even consider it.
Now that I was remembering it, I realized that it was one of the most sensually powerful things I had ever witnessed. I admired her slow and steady movements, the light and teasing caresses, and the attention to detail that most people would ignore. She made sure that not only did I enjoy seeing her doing it, she made sure that she enjoyed it herself. It wasn't lewd or outrageous, either.

I laid in bed and I just couldn't resist looking through the walls to check on Lois to see if she was okay. I caught my breath at what I saw and my ears picked up light music. Lois was swaying a little as she slowly stripped off her pants suit.
My mouth was hanging open as she did a very classy striptease, as if she had been practising for years. When the last of the outer clothing was gone and she was left in only a pink frilly bra and panties that were more frills than cloth, she turned to look at me.
“Were you disappointed with your last look?” Lois asked in a whisper.
I reached for the wall and knocked twice. Then a moment later, knocked twice more. A moment after that, knocked twice more. When I didn't continue, Lois smiled happily and nodded. She climbed into bed wearing what should have been uncomfortable, she closed her eyes and let out what sounded like a relieved sigh.
Damn. I thought and committed what I just saw to memory. I had never seen anything like it before and I had been to a strip club in my previous life. I had also seen movies and videos based around it. None of it compared to what Lois had just done. The thing was, I hadn't grown hard for her. I had been too shocked by the sight to even consider it.
Now that I was remembering it, I realized that it was one of the most sensually powerful things I had ever witnessed. I admired her slow and steady movements, the light and teasing caresses, and the attention to detail that most people would ignore. She made sure that not only did I enjoy seeing her doing it, she made sure that she enjoyed it herself. It wasn't lewd or outrageous, either.
